Kiss are one of the biggest bands of all time. Are they one of the best? Well, it's a little more complicated than that, but they're certainly one of the most interesting, and we join their story at what is arguably the heaviest and most interesting point, 1982's album "Creatures of the Night." Colin Wright challenges the idea of universal advice, emphasizing that personal context, skills, experiences, and circumstances, plays a crucial role in what actually works. Instead of following a rigid formula, he suggests focusing on adaptable principles that align with individual strengths and realities. Read along with the original article(s) here: https://exilelifestyle.com/the-relativism-of-advice/ Quotes to ponder: "This advice is applicable to me, the author/blogger/columnist. If you are exactly like me in every way, this will probably work pretty well for you. Otherwise, results will vary." "Definitive advice is often faulty from the outset. Not because the people divvying it out are scam-artists, not because the people receiving the advice are no-talent dreamers, but because the conversation the two are having isn't the one they should be having." **CONTENT WARNING**One of the films in this week's episode includes literal pornography, graphic violence, and depictions that may be offensive to some viewers, including portrayals of self-harm and sexual assault. We will discuss these elements, but not show them. Consider this your official "proceed with caution" notice. This week, we're diving into the chaotic worlds of 1979's Caligula and 1982's Blade Runner, dissecting the wildly different cuts of each film. From the unsimulated debauchery shoehorned into Caligula to the existential Replicant debate sparked by Blade Runner's various editions, we're exploring how differing perspectives of authorship shaped (or warped) these iconic, and undeniably unconventional, cinematic experiences. Welcome to another episode of Refuse Ordinary: Season 3! This season we're joining in on one of the many classes taught to levels 1-4 of the full time School of Transformation. In this episode, we will be sitting in on a class called "Truth and Love Definitive In the Person of Jesus", taught by Pastor Maria McWhorter. Our experiences and feelings have fashioned how we understand truth. We don't usually question our thoughts and emotions, why we think or feel a certain way, and whether it's true. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. When our emotions war against God's truth, we have a choice in believing His truth including Jesus' definition of love. If you have any questions about this topic, or about the School of Transformation, email us at info@transformationschool.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SchoolOfTransformationOroville/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sotoroville/

Christ's death is the unique and definitive sacrifice. It is both the Paschal Sacrifice that accomplishes redemption and the sacrifice of the New Covenant that restores man's communion with God. Fr. Mike tell us that Jesus Christ is the one mediator, and yet invites us to participate in his sacrifice when he calls on us to take up our crosses and follow him. When we accept our sufferings out of love, we are united to Christ. Today's readings are Catechism paragraphs 613-623. This episode has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism by the Institute on the Catechism, under the Subcommittee on the Catechism, USCCB. Unless we terminate the erroneous notion of judicial supremacism, we will be left with tyranny, and Trump and red states will be powerless to change anything. In today's extra-long episode, I offer the definitive history, legal case, and philosophical argument against judicial supremacism and in favor of constitutional decompartmentalization. I explain the system our founders adopted and rejected, the true lesson of Marbury v. Madison, and the difference between judicial review and judicial supremacism. There is no such thing as a judicial veto on a law and policy, and the other branches have an even greater obligation and power to push back against bad rulings that affect broad political questions. I explain how Trump can "walk before running" and slowly inch away from judicial supremacism in cases where judges try to mandate affirmative executive actions on issues that are clearly out of their jurisdiction.
