This time it's personal... The subject of race comes crashing back into the QnoA podcast, and Donovan and Harry aren't interested in taking any prisoners. What follows is a two and a half hour discussion on what the changing of fictional characters' race says about the fans, specifically those who protest it. A lot of harsh words are directed towards specific people, but not without the intention to educate, inform and converse with. Comics make up much of the discussed content, but the guys also talk movies and video games, as well as creative intent. Closing out the episode is a couple of suggested topics from the show's first email! For greater context, check out the Spider-Man Crawlspace episodes #383 and #434, and the Battle Beyond Planet X episode #83 to get the background on where a lot of the discussion and frustration began. Write into the show at to send in any thoughts or suggestions for the podcast
Back in August 2006 we started the Spider-Man Crawlspace podcast. JR wasn't on that first episode, he joined on the third episode. So it's nine years in the making, but you can now hear what he thought of Spider-Man unmasking during Civil War. Here are the books he takes a look at. *Amazing Spider-Man#533 Sensational Spider-Man#27 Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man#9 Civil War #2 Front line #1-2
In this episode we're celebrating 15 years of the Spider-Man Crawlspace website and six years of the podcast. We took live callers on this episode. Some of the highlight questions include: *How do you use Spider-Man motto of "with great power and great responsibility" in your own life. *What issue of Spider-Man do you feel was the biggest rip off? *The panel shares how we discovered Spider-Man. *Does a costume change for Spidey have less of an impact than it did when the black costume appeared. *Was Doc Ock's plan to addict the world to cocaine the worst super villain plot of all time?

Like A Puppet On A String This week, Andrew and Steve are joined by veteran podcaster Joshua Lapin-Bertone, formerly of Amazing Spider-Man Classics and currently of Clone Saga Chronicles, The Spider-Man Crawlspace and Bertone Beatle Bonanza, amongst others. Josh is a veteran of the Silver Age, despite not having lived through it, and was also the voice for Namor in our amazing trailer, so we couldn't wait to get him onto the show. This time, we cover the first appearance of Philip and Alicia Masters in Fantastic Four #8, whilst the Wizard and his alarming choice of facial hair pop up to render a future retcon null and void in Strange Tales #102. Michael welcomes yet another guest host this week and the second one to come from the Spider-Man Crawlspace. Kevin Cushing joins Michael to talk about Green Lantern and they do. They also talk about a thousand other things, but that's pretty much they way things work on this show.

Michael once again teams up with Brad Douglas, webmaster of the Spider-Man Crawlspace (or as Michael at one point refers to it the "Crider-Man Crawlspace") and host of the Spider-Man Crawlspace Podcast. This time out the die-hard Superman fan and the die-hard Spider-Man fan discuss their second favorite character; the Incredible Hulk. In between some really messed up digressions the two manage to spend an hour and twenty minutes discussing the Hulk television series, the various animated series and about twenty years of Hulk comics including their thoughts on Peter David's run, Planet Hulk, World War Hulk and why John Byrne's second crack at the character sucked beyond belief. All of this and a special appearance by the hokey-pokey Hulk too. A quick warning as always; the language gets a little blue, so throw those headphones on if you are at work.

In this second part of the Mike/Douglas show Michael continues his coversation with Brad Douglas, webmaster of the Spider-Man Crawlspace and host/ringleader of that site's podcast. This week Brad talks a little bit more about his day job before listing his favorite Spider-Man writers and artists. Michael also laments how easier it is to be a Spider_man fan than a Superman fan, at least on a merchandising level. All this and a little bit on the Incredible Hulk television series as well.
