This is Draw The Line Radio Show with Jacki-e, presenting the best music from female producers and DJs. Helping me Draw the Line this week it’s Jessica Platz aka Djane JP who is from Mannheim in Germany. Her mixes are uplifting combinations of techno, tech house and hard minimal with the occasional diversion into dark techno. With her German-Colombian temperament her sets create a really special style. We went LIVE at Have a taste of “captured essence!” We popped open the cork and decided to spontaneously record a few conversations and interview a handful of our favorite “movers and shakers.” The atmosphere at CoRK Open Studios - Year 7 was lit! Among the hundreds of creatives and supporters who attended, we had conversations with founder and creator of Mister Peterson's Neighborhood/The Groove Suite podcast, Mr. Al Pete, artist, and arts educator Erin Kendrick, plus meet videographer and promoter Javaris “westmcfly” Weston, Founder & Director of Yellow House, Hope McMath, and Pastor Jay Harris, owner and creative director at Strght & Nrrw and his collaborator Amy Donofrio founder of the EVAC Movement, a crusade of hope co-led by young men. On this podcast you will hear from Jay Harris. Jay can routinely be found on a corner in downtown Jacksonville meeting with anyone, whether it's the mailman, a homeless person, or fellow business owners. Jay enjoys spending time with his wife, Alanna, and their 9 children... yes, 9. He is an entrepreneur, fashion designer, artist, and pastor. From 2011 - 2014 he owned a Clothing Boutique in the heart of downtown Jacksonville named after his streetwear brand, Strght & Nrrw. This boutique was more than just a clothing store and became a missional outpost for the lost and hurting. During this podcast Jay talks about his transition from retail store owner to lead pastor of The Ville Church located in the Springfield neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida. There, he is focused on his church family, pursuing racial reconciliation in his city and in the church, community development, as well as training and encouraging others to mentor and volunteer in their community and local schools. So sit back, listen, agree, disagree, and hopefully learn something along way.
Drew & Keiran are joined by Gabe Willis of STRGHT talking basketball, NBA, skateboards and running a small business.
