This week, Jennifer welcomes back Liz Kurantowicz, a political operative and media commentator based in Connecticut and known for her advocacy for parental choice in education, her frequent appearances on television and radio, and her active involvement in state and federal political discourse. As a Catholic school parent and outspoken conservative, Liz has played a prominent role in mobilizing opposition to state legislature bills that restrict parental education rights. Jennifer and Liz dive into the realities of modern American politics, from controversial Connecticut education legislation requiring parents to register their children with local boards of education if they opt out of public schooling to high-profile congressional scandals, including the recent resignations of Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzalez. The conversation highlights issues of pervasive sexual misconduct in government, lack of transparency with legislative settlements and NDAs, and the violence and escalation in political rhetoric seen nationwide. The episode also touches on the chilling effects these factors have on voter participation, the urgent need for greater protection of political and media institutions, and the impact of social media and constant campaign cycles on civic discourse. “These men are building careers on the backs of these women, and they are doing so knowing they have to remain silent.” ~ Jennifer This week on Political Contessa: Parental choice legislation and registration requirements for non-public school students The chilling effect of state laws on parental rights in education Congressional resignations tied to scandals and systemic misconduct Pervasiveness of harassment and sexual abuse in government Barriers preventing victims from coming forward and a lack of protection for whistleblowers Calls for transparency regarding congressional NDA settlements and Epstein files Escalation of violent rhetoric and attacks targeting elected officials and journalists The failure of current political leaders to lower the temperature on public discourse Connect with Liz Kurantowicz: Capital Report, Nexstar (Sundays at 10:30 on ABC Hartford-New Haven, also online via the WTNH app and YouTube) Twitter/X:@MrsKurantowicz Resources mentioned: Capital Report TV show (WTNH, Hartford-New Haven) State legislative transparency and audit initiatives (Massachusetts, Connecticut) Julie Grace’s piece on D.C. experiences Information on registration laws for alternative education in Connecticut Discussions regarding the release of Epstein files and congressional slush fund records Awaken Your Inner Political Contessa Thanks for tuning into this week’s episode of Political Contessa. Welcome to another episode of Death Don't Do Fiction, the AIPT Movies podcast! The podcast about the enduring legacy of our favorite movies! It's April, so that means it's time for our “No EscApril” series, where we celebrate the wonder of thrillers! Not quite horror, not quite action, that sweet spot in the middle where danger is afoot, and lives are still on the line! In this week's episode, Alex, Tim, and guest K-Tron discuss Brian De Palma's 1984 entry in the “pro-peeping tom propaganda” subgenre, Body Double! Excessive voyeurism! Open disdain for subtlety! Inept cops! A hotdog-shaped hotdog store! A bizarre and touchy acting class/therapy session! Troy McClure's weird Chemosphere house from The Simpsons! An insane Frankie Goes To Hollywood music video in the middle of the movie! Hide and seek-related trauma! A claustrophobic sardine who can't scream! A platinum blonde 80s vampire! Motion sickness-inducing bed drinking! A blatantly labeled door! Cultural insensitivity! A dizzying and confusing makeout session! A disturbing drill with a surprisingly short power cord! The Gone with the Wind of adult films! A random Nostromo hat from Alien! R-rated end credits! Rear projection and matte paintings! Great cinematography and camerawork, including several split diopter shots! An excellent musical score from Pino Donaggio! A fun cast that includes Dennis Franz, Barbara Crampton in her first role, Craig Wasson being convincingly pervy, and a fearless Melanie Griffith! All that and more in this unapologetically 80s thriller that explores the seedy underbelly of Hollywood, and may be the pinnacle of HitchSchlock! In addition, Tim recommends Sam Raimi's Send Help, K-Tron discusses the trippy 1961 film The Mask, while Alex gives his spoiler-free thoughts on Lee Cronin's The Mummy, the new Faces of Death, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and the Netflix shark thriller Thrash! You can find Death Don't Do Fiction on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. As always, if you enjoy the podcast, be sure to leave us a positive rating, subscribe to the show, and tell your friends! The Death Don't Do Fiction podcast brings you the latest in movie news, reviews, and more! Hosted by supposed “industry vets,” Alex Harris and Tim Gardiner, the show gives you a peek behind the scenes from two filmmakers with oddly nonexistent filmographies. You can find Alex on Twitter, Bluesky, or Letterboxd @actionharris. You can follow K-Tron on Letterboxd @puddingtaco. Tim can't be found on social media because he doesn't exist. If you have any questions or suggestions for the Death Don't Do Fiction crew, they can be reached at aiptmoviespod@gmail.com, or you can find them on Twitter or Instagram @aiptmoviespod. Jeffrey Epstein's so-called “Science Foundation” was nothing more than a sham operation cooked up to help him dodge the restrictions of his Florida probation. Set up conveniently next door to his lawyer Jack Goldberger's office, it provided him with the perfect excuse to “work” during the day while technically under supervision. In reality, the foundation didn't conduct any research, fund any scientists, or advance any cause; it existed solely to give Epstein freedom of movement and the illusion of legitimacy. The Florida probation system, led by a state attorney's office that looked the other way, let him manipulate the rules in broad daylight. His daily commutes, office visits, and supposed “philanthropy” were all part of the same long con — and the people paid to watch him either didn't care or were told not to.This entire arrangement exposed how deeply compromised the system was. Epstein used money, influence, and the veneer of intellect to turn punishment into privilege, and state officials played along. Congress should be demanding to know who approved the deal and why nobody enforced it, but instead, political insiders and power brokers keep skating by unscathed. The “Science Foundation” wasn't just a front; it was a symbol of how justice bends for the well-connected. What should have been rehabilitation became routine corruption — another reminder that in America, when you're rich enough, probation is just another word for business as usual.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Tom Sykes, The Daily Beast's unmissable Royals columnist, joins Executive Editor Hugh Dougherty to examine how the fallout from Jeffrey Epstein has reignited a crisis around Prince Andrew that now threatens to engulf the wider monarchy. As new scrutiny revisits Andrew's relationship with Virginia Giuffre and raises questions about what the Palace knew, Sykes argues that King Charles III is confronting a scandal no longer containable by tradition or silence—one already straining relations with heir Prince William and forcing a reckoning over accountability, reputation, and whether the royal family can still rely on deference in an era demanding transparency. If sales feels heavy, awkward, or mentally exhausting, it's probably not because you're bad at it.It's more likely because you've been trying to sell using advice that relies on pressure, performance, or rigid systems - the exact things that make ADHD brains freeze, overthink, or avoid the conversation altogether. In this episode, Skye sits down with Wes Schaeffer (The Sales Whisperer) to talk about how to sell in a way that actually feels calm, grounded, and sustainable — without hype, manipulation, or forcing yourself into a persona that doesn't fit. This isn't about “loving sales” or magically becoming confident. It's about:reducing anxiety around money conversationshaving something to lean on when your confidence dipsand building just enough structure so sales stops living rent-free in your headWes breaks down why money talk feels so uncomfortable, how scripts can reduce stress instead of making you sound robotic, and why avoiding systems usually creates more chaos — not less.If you've ever known you should follow up, talk about pricing, or ask for the sale… and still found yourself procrastinating, this conversation will feel uncomfortably accurate — in a good way.No hustle. No sleaze. No “just be confident” advice. In this episode, we talk about:Why sales feels uncomfortable for ADHD entrepreneurs and what is actually happening underneath that resistanceHow to talk about money and pricing without sounding pushy or rehearsedWhen scripts and systems help ADHD brains and when they make things worseA calmer approach to follow-ups that does not rely on pressure or guiltHow small sales systems reduce burnout, decision fatigue, and avoidance over timeConnect with Wes SchaefferLearn more about Wes and his programs: https://12weekstopeak.comFree habit tracker and practical sales resources available on the siteText or book time directly via the site P.S. Molly Mahoney drops serious knowledge about using AI to amplify your creative business instead of fearing it. She walks through how she built an interactive tool that generated 130 sales in three days, ran a Facebook auction that hit $30K in eight minutes, and why helping others succeed is the secret to growing your own business. If you've been wondering how to actually use AI in your video business without feeling like a sellout, this one's for you. Key Takeaways AI should amplify your creativity, not replace it—use these tools to handle the repetitive stuff so you have more time for actual creative work. Interactive tools create "activation offers" that give clients quick wins and naturally lead them to need your higher-level services. Agentic systems can automate your entire client journey by connecting different AI tools and apps together (tools like MindPal and Base44 make this accessible). Authenticity indicators (your mistakes and stumbles) build more trust than perfectly polished content ever will. About Molly Mahoney Molly Mahoney is a digital marketing strategist, keynote speaker, and former NYC performer who helps entrepreneurs blend AI-powered marketing with authentic human connection. With viral videos hitting over 39 million views and features in Forbes and Inc., she's known for turning complex tech into simple, profitable strategies. She launched her business The Prepared Performer in 2013… and has since helped thousands of people to show up more powerfully, turning their message into a revenue generating movement. In 2021, Molly launched the world's first AI-focused content membership (2 years before chatGPT hit the scene). She's the author of Choose Confidence, Finding My Awesome, and the new Ai playbook, Ai-ify™ Your Business. She believes your "weird" is your superpower – and that the more fun you have, the more money you make! In This Episode [00:00] Welcome to the show! But what I decided to do rather than being like, how am I gonna use this to grow my business... A disturbing new front in royal harassment: an AI chatbot tied to X is accused of generating sexualised images of the Princess of Wales from real photos, prompting “urgent contact” from UK regulator Ofcom. Meanwhile, the internet does what it does — a short clip of Prince William arriving at Kensington Palace with George and Charlotte ignites baseless “separate lives” speculation, plus a side quest into royal travel protocol and why heirs aren't supposed to fly together. Also: the Waleses get compared to the Beckhams, some people love it, some people hate it, and somehow this becomes a whole thing. And we close with the big question: are the royals secretly obsessed with UFOs?Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
SUMMARYMany speakers, coaches, and consultants say they hate sales. In reality, what they hate is manipulative, impersonal, high-pressure selling that feels out of alignment with who they are.In this episode of Present Influence, sales expert Katie Nelson dismantles the myth that selling high-ticket offers has to feel sleazy. We explore why sales is fundamentally human, not transactional, and why relationship, curiosity, and courage matter far more than funnels, scripts, or AI shortcuts. We cover how speakers and coaches can sell premium services ethically, why relying solely on referrals is risky, how fear and rejection really work in sales, and why the founder must stay involved in selling longer than they think. Katie also challenges the overuse of “sales mindset” rhetoric and explains why action, not affirmation, is what actually builds confidence and cash flow.If you sell your expertise, your voice, or your presence and want a sales process that feels honest, effective, and sustainable, this episode will change how you think about selling.Find Katie on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/thesalescatalyst/ or go to SalesUprising.comHere's the link for Katie's video series Feed The Fire: https://youtu.be/WfYrsNgSRoA?si=PaL5n0tRByqnJiOYTakeawaysSales is not a personality flaw; it's a human process.Embracing sales leads to quicker business success.Referrals should be seen as gifts, not strategies.Sales is about people before it's about systems.Mindset is important, but action is crucial in sales. You can't outsource your courage as a business owner.Sales is a service in both directions.Understanding your target audience is key to sales success.Fear and rejection are part of the sales journey; learn to overcome them.Building relationships is essential for effective sales. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, failed actress-turned-radio host Stephanie Miller a.k.a "Sister Sleaze" literally groveled at the feet of Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett planting a big wet smooch on her sneaker and then gleefully sharing the cringeworthy interaction on social media. The incident happened at an event celebrating Tuesday's passage of Proposition 50 in California which allows pols to redistrict the state and potentially eliminate five Republican congressional seats. Also audio from Jasmine Crockett saying Iranians are "nice people" and won't fly planes into buildings anymore, the liberal mindset of coddling Islamic terrorists and home-grown assassins and the legalization of THC based edibles. Also Kamala Harris thinks she's won the election and Democrats are reluctant to reopen the government. Today's episode exposes sleazy moves by GOP senators who slipped a retroactive provision into a funding bill to potentially collect payouts over post–January 6th phone-record searches, digs into newly released Epstein emails and reports of special treatment for Ghislaine Maxwell, and outlines three examples of how President Trump often acts first and thinks later — from a controversial 50-year mortgage idea to tariff fallout and cuts to Alzheimer's research. We break down the politics, the hypocrisy, and what to watch next in the House as advocates push to remove the provision and demand transparency on the Epstein files.

David Waldman, drinking his throat tea by the quart, doesn't hold back on today's KITM: Greg Dworkin prepares us today for his Wednesday post-vote analysis. Virginia is for lovers, not haters, yet Gops kinda love to hate. Antisemitic hate is loved by the Gop, not by those that the Gop hates. SNL understood the NYC mayoral debate as if they were locals. Ha ha! Oh, well. That's Our Trump!™ Donald K. Trump took a break from his achieving that perfect balance between Tsar Nicholas II and Tony Montana on his new fancy crapper, then flew down to Perv-a-Lago for a Great Gatsby/Cabaret/Marie Antoinette Night O' Sleaze. Then it was time for Donald to watch his conquering return to 60 Minutes in order to make sure that the editors took good care of him. 73 minutes cut down to 27 left a more highly polished turd, still filled with the usual Trump golden kernels of impeachable confessions and casual idiocy, always with the promise of more and worse to come. Generally, brown people, especially those sitting on oil, better watch out. Trump sees your 25th Amendment and reveals that his whole operation revolves around his cluelessness. Autopen is his alibi! Let them execute the rest for war crimes, Trump is just too plain stupid to hang. Anyhow, all those Venezuelans aren't being killed by missiles, they're being killed by loopholes.
Good news, pal, you may NOT need to throw away your whole business or build out a whole new product. In fact, if sales are low, I would say, you *probably* do NOT need to build anything new at the moment. The reason people aren't buying might be as SIMPLE as a shift in this area of your marketing. (P.S. I'm even walking you through some of the brain science behind why this particular shif will help you ultimately sell more AND serve your people better.

For years, I felt allergic to marketing. It seemed pushy, manipulative, and out of alignment with the values I hold dear. I wanted to share my work in the world, but I couldn't stomach doing it in a way that felt sleazy—or worse, harmful. So for a long time, I hid. I avoided marketing at all costs, and it kept me from truly growing my business. Fast forward to today, and I actually love marketing. I see it as a sacred way of serving, inspiring, and creating real transformation—even before someone hires me. And what changed everything for me was finding a way to market and sell that was ethical, heart-based, and deeply in integrity. In this episode, I'm sharing some of the most important principles I've learned along the way so that you, too, can market your business in ways that feel authentic and true to who you are. Here's what you'll hear inside: The critical difference between “activating the gap” in empowering versus shaming ways How to use urgency to motivate without triggering fear or manipulation The truth about marketing promises—and how to set them in a way that builds trust instead of disappointment Why ethical marketing isn't just possible, but actually more effective in attracting the right clients How aligning your sales approach with your values can unlock confidence and visibility If you've ever felt turned off by traditional marketing strategies—or found yourself holding back from promoting your work because you don't want to compromise your integrity—this episode will be a breath of fresh air. You don't have to choose between being effective and being ethical. You can do both. Thanks for your patience as we finished up our US Open wrap! One of our birthdays coincided with Rolex inviting a certain president to the tournament, and we conscientiously objected. Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz are your winners (for the first time together). The tournament was a barnburner on the women's side, a fantastic cap to a year which saw four different Slam winners and a few players rewriting their own stories. On the men's side, Alcaraz faced only 10 break points (a record) and pushed a dominant Sinner into rethinking his own game. As is our wont, we talk extensively about other things … including using Mary Carillo's commentary as an example of the necessary risk of expanding sports commentary into something more worldly and immediate. 01:46 Aryna Sabalenka wins with smarts and steadiness 08:56 Animisova-Osaka, now that was a moment 18:27 The Townsend-Krejcikova match was a stunner 21:31 Mary Carillo and the risk of telling the truth 35:47 Carlos figures out Jannik (7 of the last 8 times) 42:19 Thanks, Rolex!
