You have to be self-observant and notice how you're feeling and how you're doing it. See that you feel that you're getting more enthusiasm to do more service, instead of feeling diminished or in a situation where, although you're feeling out of balance, you don't want to admit that you are, which can be dangerous because It's much more appealing and also realistic to understand the situation one's in now. As Kṛṣṇa says in the bhāgavatam (11.20.26) "sve sve 'dhikāre yā niṣṭhā sa guṇaḥ parikīrtitaḥ," in this verse the word "guṇa" means a good quality, and that good quality, he says, is to be self-obserant and understand what your qualification is at the present time and act according to that. And if you do what you can with what you have right now, you feel that you are getting strength from that, and you're feeling encouraged, and that's a sign that you're in a normal condition and that you're well situated. If you feel on the other hand that you are out of balance, it could be that you're not doing enough sādhana. That's another thing, because there are ways in which, when I start to feel dissatisfied with life or with Kṛṣṇa Consciousness, and start to consider that, well, it's all a show because I'm engaging in such a way that I'm doing it for show. I'm not doing it actually because I have a clear idea that it's in my best interest or that I enjoy doing it. May be also that sādhana has gone off into niyamāgraha—that I'm not really paying attention. So you have to be aware of that also. That's important because oftentimes, or mostly, my feelings of uneasiness about my life and feeling out of balance have to do with not having enough contact with Kṛṣṇa. When we got home, Megg was there hanging out with Dan and Laura getting things ready for Mom to come home. She was tinking part of Miles' Christmas stocking because she messed up letter. Then Riley wanted to learn colorwork, so Megg was reading the chart and Riley was knitting. Win win! Megg joined our last Patreon Zoom. She was working on crafts for upcoming Frozen Jr which she's dir/choreo. with some help from Dan- and reworking another colorwork chart for a stocking. Riley joined for a bit too which was fun! We were very lucky this week to have a chat with Annabel Neasham, her and her partner Rob Archibald are training our Written Tycoon colt 'Zemoreya' so she came on the show to give us a little background about herself and where she came from, what lead her to become a successful trainer here in Australia and what her thoughts of Zemoreya were. It was great insight and we can't wait to work closely with her. Onto the punt show! 2 weeks to go so you could call this a prelim final, the penultimate round, however you want to put it....the pressure is on! We head to the Winterbottom Stakes for the Group 1 segment, barbs gets his bets in before his big trip to Perth, we were a bit concerned after his B1 speil, but all is well after he was back sounding normal for the group 1. Button is in the big smoke of Brisbane for the country cups final and the boys are chirping (prematurely) after taking the lead in the old boy's segment at long last! Gropes has an absolute shocker in Dart of the Week but eventually he hit something and we had a horse for the mighty Betr to give us a market on. As always, we start the second hour with a guest and today's guest is Craig Button! Button shared his thoughts on the Oilers play as of late, the lack of production from the top six, and then discussed the Blues, Bruins and Pacific division. In the middle of the hour, the boys gave their Coolbet 'Early Bird Special' right before we qualified another lucky listener for a chance to Fly Away To L.A. presented by The Seven Eighty! It was then time for ‘Weekly Confessions' from Spectrum Rent All! Dusty is no longer a gamer and YouTube Trev finally gave in and had a donair... We finished the hour with 'The Fan Zone' presented by FansFirst to discuss whether or not to be concerned on Nuge's play this season.
On Sunday Pastor Nate preached a message titled “Hit the REFRESH button!” our final week in our “BeCAUSE of Eternity” series. Proverbs 11:25 says “the generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.” Thanksgiving is the refresh button for our hearts! When we live with hearts full of gratitude to God and thankfulness for the people in our lives, we discover that the Lord has set aside moments of refreshing for us, regardless of our circumstances. If you couldn't join on Sunday, check out Pastor Nate's message.

I was stunned. Over 35 players have completed 10 or more projects! Leading the way is player eyenowhour who has completed 27 projects--including 5 shawls and 12 baby garments! Impressive! Life in Focus I shared some updates about Mom's new cancer treatments and recent hospital stays. On a Happy Note I'm finding it very hard to be happy after the US election, but I try hard to look for these happy notes. As Gretchen Rubin reminded us on a recent episode of the Happier Podcast it is not selfish or unimportant to look for ways to be happy even when and especially when life feels really hard. When we are happier, we can do more to assert our values in the world and do hard things, so I started this segment with that reminder. Knitting on Hattie's socks and Sue's Instagram live on the day after the election helped me through a very difficult day. Halloween! Leaning into connecting with my people- whether that's work, friends, family, knitting community. Its small but its powerful. During Mom's first infusion, we played UNO. Mom slaughtered us! Dad got up and jokingly said he was going to smother her with a pillow before she could beat us any further and she was laughing so hard she almost offed herself! That was a bit of levity we all needed that night. We watched G&Z while their parents went out for their anniversary and again on Veteran's Day. Date night with Dan between Mom's treatments. I had a delicious pumpkin beer- Night Shift Pumpkin Piescraper Pumpkin Pie Ale. I went to see & Juliet with Megg, Terri, Liz and Riley. Then I had a sleepover at my brothers where Riley, Millie and I inadvertently had a matching PJs night. What does it mean to be an "everyday influencer" in a world driven by content and social media? On today's episode of Tech Talks Daily, we're joined by Sean O'Brien, CTO and co-founder of Mavely. The company is transforming how creators, big and small, connect with brands and monetize their online presence. While many platforms cater to top-tier influencers, Mavely's unique approach is empowering the next wave of creators—everyday individuals who are driving engagement with authentic, relatable content. We explore how Mavely is helping more than 70,000 creators monetize their followings through partnerships with over 1,000 retailers, delivering a full spectrum of earning opportunities beyond the traditional brand campaigns. Sean shares how Mavely's creator-first philosophy offers tools and features designed to enhance the user experience and maximize revenue, with a strong emphasis on data analytics. He explains how a focus on personalized recommendations and tailored content strategies allows both creators and brands to thrive, optimizing each touchpoint from discovery to conversion. Sean also dives into the shifting dynamics of social commerce, especially as Gen Z shoppers demand more genuine interactions and multiple engagements before making a purchase. He discusses how Mavely's recent upgrades, including LinkedIn integration for B2B creators and the "Button" feature for enhanced Instagram engagement, are meeting these expectations. Additionally, we examine the platform's innovative approach to data-driven strategies, providing insights that help creators choose what to promote and when, while brands gain visibility on ROI like never before. As we navigate the future of influencer marketing, Sean highlights trends shaping the industry, including the rise of "faceless creators," the growing need for seamless, cross-platform integration, and the importance of robust attribution technologies. So, how is Mavely empowering real people to become powerful partners for brands, and what lies ahead for the creator economy? Tune in to find out, and don't forget to share your thoughts on whether you believe everyday influencers could be the key to the future of social commerce.
