The Rewatcher: Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Now that the First has officially set its sights on removing the Slayer line in totality and formally waged war with Oogles the Ubervamp, the gang goes into recon & research mode. The Hellmouth (and the Summers' Residence by extension) are LOUSY with potential slayers-- with the emphasis on LOUSY because the amount of naysaying going on behind Buffy's back has KENNEDY looking like the best in class! Giles and Anya go on a walkabout in a hell dimension to get some intel as Buffy plots a way to give the potentials a wake up call AND position herself to get Spike out of Ooogles' cavern and into a place of safety. Rewatch, Listen & Laugh as Mikie offends all of Britain, Ash fixates on a Lizzie Maguire character, and Alaina has a genuinely good reaction to a pivotal Spuffy moment! WATP Karl takes down Girls Rewatch, Epstein List backlash, Fyre sale, Sydney Sweeney in lingerie, Jessica Alba's new dong, the Gen Z stare, Emmy nominations, and Drew Crime: an American Idol murder & MLB pitcher turned murderer. Drew has the hiccups again. Scott Burnstein has the answer to who killed Jimmy Hoffa. The Big Dumper, Cal Raleigh, won the MLB 2025 Home Run Derby. He totally predicted it when he was 8-years-old. Diddy is doing the work in prison. He's in therapy to avoid a long sentence. Beyoncé is flying again. Some of her crap was stolen from her dancer's car. Dentist James Craig is a terrible husband and probably a bad dentist. “Blackface” ruined Holden Hughes. It was actually Greenface, so he sued. Britney Spears rants like a mad woman. We watch Britney off her meds. Jessica Alba has a new man. She's extremely rich, btw. Sydney Sweeney's boobs are launching a lingerie line. Jeff Bezos is funding it. Blake Lively is targeting YouTubers. Richard Dreyfuss is dying ASAP… or he didn't want to go to the Jaws convention. Wolfgang Van Halen is probably the dude that angered Sharon Osbourne. It's not Motley Crue according to Motley Crue. Karl from WATP drops by to rip StutJo a little more, destroy Lena Dunham on the Girls Rewatch Podcast, make fun of Gregg ‘Opie' Hughes and more. Only 40 tickets remain for the LIVE WATP show with us and Dave Landau. Andy Green is still touring NYC. Trudi calls out the ‘Gen Z Stare'. Rob Wolchek drops another stellar Hall of Shame. The Emmy nominations dropped. Jared Goff's wife popped out their first kid. Drew Crime: Former MLB pitcher Dan Serafini found guilty of murdering his in-laws. An American Idol professional was murdered. Republicans are blocking Jeffrey Epstein information from being released. Kevin Spacey wants the files out now. The Lufthansa CEO's wife hit and killed a woman. A 114-year-old has died… of a hit and run! Billy McFarland is the worst. He sold the Fyre brand for a measly $245K. Drew is obsessed with some turd film named Parthenope. Drew does not recommend it. Cue Dean getting possessed and finally letting Sam have it about everything, until Garth saves the day with a heroic punch.Highlights:Garth's ringtone collection (Kris Kross to MC Hammer)Dean dramatically snatching Bobby's hat off Garth's headThe phrase "eunuch in a whorehouse"Sam's excellent hair gameGarth being the only emotionally stable hunter in existence"How can you not love Garth?" - Pretty much sums up this episode perfectly.Sources:https://supernatural.fandom.com/wiki/Southern_Comforthttps://www.sinistercoffeeandcreamery.com/blog/specterSend us your review!Support the showTHANK YOU FOR LISTENING!Please rate and review Denim-Wrapped Nightmares wherever you get your podcasts! Meanwhile, the Astros limp into the break — what must they do to ensure a real second-half playoff push? QOTD: What's something you probably should've practiced before trying? Around The NFL delivers big headlines: Garrett Wilson gets paid — what does that mean for Nico Collins and the WR market? Teddy Bridgewater suspended? And are you sold on Reed Sheppard as the Rockets' backup PG? What's Popping closes the hour with stories from sports and entertainment. Reggie's Rewatch revisits Texans vs. Packers (Week 7), with takeaways and trends that still matter. In Lunch-Time Confessions, a hilariously bad Superman review has the crew cracking up. Plus, “Still in the League?” honors the NFL's oldest living player at 93 years old. And in Hour 4, ESPN's Top 10 LB Rankings drop — are the Texans getting disrespected, or is off-ball linebacker a hidden weakness? Finally, Figgy's Mixtape delivers the strange and hilarious: a crack in Seattle's Space Needle, phrases men hate hearing from women, and more.

Howdy, spacefarers — and thank you for tuning in to another episode of the Re-Watch Podcast! Today's show is extra special because I'm joined by my friend Joe, an avid comic book reader, collector, and all-around pop culture expert.I first noticed Joe's impressive Marvel collection at the office — featuring Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Doctor Doom. He's also a seasoned convention-goer with autographs from the legendary actors behind Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and R2-D2.There's plenty of crossover in our fandoms, and today, I introduced Joe to Andor — what many fans consider the best Star Wars series Disney has produced. While Andor Season 2 has just debuted, we kicked things off with the very first episode of Season 1.Like me, Joe ranks Rogue One as one of the finest Star Wars films ever made. I've long argued that while Solo was the Star Wars movie no one asked for, Andor is the show we didn't know we desperately needed. Season 1 shattered expectations — and we're all eager to see how Season 2 measures up.Tune in as Joe shares his Star Wars knowledge, comic book adventures, and convention stories — and I make the case for why Andor deserves his full attention.

This week, we crash through skylights, tumble off scaffolding, and land (mostly) on our feet as we celebrate Elise's birthday with The Fall Guy — a stunt-heavy, meta-rom-com-action-comedy that somehow makes all those genres work together… barely. Join us as we lovingly suplex this chaotic gem of a movie and ask the big questions: Is this a rom-com or a John Wick riff in a trucker hat? Why is Ryan Gosling always crying perfectly? And what exactly is Hannah Waddingham doing in this movie? As usual, we veer wildly off-script and into delightful disaster. Elise reveals her deep thirst for hot messes and broken men. Nick and Manny debate whether this is cinema or just a very expensive flex by David Leitch. Anthony keeps asking, “But is it fun?” and we all try to answer — while dodging flaming barrels and narrative whiplash. Somewhere between an earnest homage and a stitched-together meme of a movie, The Fall Guy gives us plenty to cheer and jeer. There's full-throated appreciation for the art of stunt work, gleeful roasting of a plot that may or may not exist, and many passionate impressions of men named Colt Seavers. We might not agree on the rewatchability, but we do agree: Ryan Gosling can throw himself down a flight of stairs like nobody's business. Whether you're in it for the love story, the explosions, or just to hear Elise talk about her ideal garbage man (in the romantic sense, we swear), this episode hits like a flaming stunt car leaping through a billboard — messy, over-the-top, and absolutely worth the ride.

An episode that is not about inflexibility—it's about emotional safety, sensory regulation, and being authentically ourselves in a world that often feels chaotic! In Episode 147 of The Autistic Culture Podcast, Dr. Angela Kingdon explores Pillar 8 of Autistic Culture: Predictably Comforting, with special guest Daria Brown, author of We Chose Play: Raising an Autistic Child to Thrive and Feel Understood.Daria Brown has a Master's degree in Personality and Social Psychology. She has worked in the field of research, evaluation, and education for over 30 years at universities, not-for-profits, and government.Together, they discuss why predictability, routine, and familiarity are not only comforting but essential in autistic lives. This episode is especially meaningful for autistic listeners, families, and advocates who want to gain a deeper understanding of why consistency matters so deeply in autistic culture. Here's what defines this core Autistic trait:* Autistic Brains Crave PredictabilityOur nervous systems seek regulation over novelty. Familiar patterns reduce overwhelm and foster inner peace.* Routine as Emotional SafetyAutistic routines—like watching the same show, eating familiar foods, or repeating daily rituals—aren't rigid. They're tools for stability, helping manage emotional and sensory overload.* Cultural Examples of Comforting Predictability* Thomas the Tank Engine's structured stories* Dino Nuggets' consistent texture and taste* Andy Warhol's daily green underwear and soup-can art* Repetition as a Strength, Not a SymptomFrom stimming to re-watching favorite shows, repetition brings grounding comfort. It supports emotional regulation and fosters creativity.
