Today we're joined by Akshita Bhagia, a senior research engineer at the Allen Institute for AI. Akshita joins us to discuss OLMo, a new open source language model with 7 billion and 1 billion variants, but with a key difference compared to similar models offered by Meta, Mistral, and others. Namely, the fact that AI2 has also published the dataset and key tools used to train the model. In our chat with Akshita, we dig into the OLMo models and the various projects falling under the OLMo umbrella, including Dolma, an open three-trillion-token corpus for language model pretraining, and Paloma, a benchmark and tooling for evaluating language model performance across a variety of domains. Welcome to DRR Podcast 092, for our second episode of the week we welcome Wetworks/ V.I.T.R.I.O.L. from NYC but now residing ion Phoenix, Arizona, USA Wetworks was discovered in the mid-2000s by Glenn Wilson, who released Wetworks' first vinyl on The Infamous Punish Label. Glenn has continued to be a mentor and friend throughout his professional career. Along with many techno luminaries such as Mark Broom, Staffan Ehrlin, and other heroes turned peers. Friends like these have guided Wetworks through carving a unique path in the techno realm. Each has lent continuous encouragement to release authentic and honest music—matching his outlook to be sonically impactful and able to be felt in the soul. As a result, Wetworks has released tracks on respected labels such as GND, Geushky, Compound, Mastertraxx, Player, Dolma, and many more. Wetworks tracks are percussive, warehouse, and dance floor ready and cultivated with music theory. 2019 marked the return of Wetworks to the harder side of techno, which allowed him to separate his known approach to funky and percussive techno. Instead, it allotted a newer approach to Faster Brutal Hard Techno, still keen on Music Theory and rhythmic practice, with a dash of esoteric overtone. Wetworks is now a part of the Chicago Jaxxx & Mastoid Kollektive family as their newly inducted A&R and Creative Director. Aliases: D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Henry Cullen, Strobe(UK), Secret Hero, Co-Ax + more.. Record Labels Owned: Hydraulix ( Acid Techno / Hard Techno / Dark Techno ) Apex ( Raw/Deep Techno ) Mutate To Survive ( Experimental / Minimal / Electronica) If you are into Techno Music, you may have already come across one of D.A.V.E. The Drummer's records. Hailing from London's illegal warehouse party scene that exploded in the 90's, DJ & producer D.A.V.E. The Drummer started the label Hydraulix in 1998 as an output for his own production ideas. The label intended to bridge the gap between the acid techno of his previous productions and a darker style of techno that D.A.V.E. was experimenting with in the studio. Hydraulix made some big waves in the Hard Techno scene throughout the 2000's and is still going strong with many of the new releases hitting the top spots in the Beatport Charts. Tracks from Hydraulix have found their way into the playlists of some of the worlds top DJs as well as keeping a huge following of underground Techno DJs across the globe. D.A.V.E's recent music reflects a shift toward a darker stripped back techno sound and the label is still at the forefront of the techno scene winning respect from many DJs and taking on board fresh young artists as well as releasing tracks by seasoned Hydraulix regulars. Still a hard working DJ and Producer, & currently running his weekly Sunday Session show during lockdown with wife Justine doing visuals D.A.V.E. is responsible for remixes and productions for many top techno labels including: Suara, Dolma, Cause, Finder, Techburst, Harthouse, Fine Audio, Noom, Reklusive, Respekt, Naked Lunch, Phobiq, Elektrax, Techburst, Cluster, Stay Up Forever, Maximum Minimum, Routemaster, Smitten, Prolekult, Nucleas, Vicious Circle and of course Hydraulix, Apex and Mutate To Survive.

With Catalonia becoming ever more secular, especially among younger generations, we hear from four people bucking that trend: Nagia, a Muslim; Gagandeep, a Sikh; Dolma, a Buddhist; and Gisela, a Catholic. Plus, never mind Easter eggs, Lluís Estrada Canal of Pastisseria Canal explains everything you need to know about mones de pasqua, Catalonia's traditional Easter cakes. Lorcan Doherty is joined by Cristina Tomàs White and Gerard Escaich Folch. This week's Catalan phrase is 'encara que es vesteixi de seda, la mona, mona es queda'. It means 'even dressed in silk, a monkey is still a monkey'.

1930'lu yıllarda yaşadığınızı düşünün. Ailenize ya da bir arkadaşınıza mektup yazacaksınız. Dolma kalemi aldınız elinize ve başladınız yazmaya. Derken... Hay aksi! Kalemden mürekkep sızıyor. Mektubunuz mahvoldu! Yeni bir kâğıt alıp başka bir dolma kalemle tekrar başladınız yazmaya. Aman!

The Family We Create – Families of All Kinds: this episode is the perfect example of family, the family that we create and showing that it really entails families of all kinds. And interestingly enough, it's also the song title (“Families of All Kinds”) of one of the songs on Jen Cleary's new album “All Together Now!” written and produced for children and families and celebrating environmental and social consciousness (which, by the way, our baby girl did the album cover art of!). Jen Cleary is a folk, rock, and blues singer-songwriter, and one of her amazing family members, her daughter, Dorje Dolma, the author of "Yak Girl: Growing Up in the Remote Dolpo Region of Nepal" is here! We discuss the double layered meanings of Jenn’s music, the stories that led to the songs, the meaning of family, and get immersed in the fantastic story of how Jenn and Dorje met on this tiny yet immense and perfectly synchronized blue dot and created a blossoming family that is now many arms outstretched around the world. Their beautiful family story brings love and hope! Hall of fame quote from the show: “ You just have to trust in yourself and trust in the others... when those right people come in your life. And even if it's a little bit uncertain, you kind of have to keep moving forward. So even if I get scared, I just believe that it's going to be okay.” – Dorje Dolma https://jenncleary.com/ http://www.dorjearts.com/ https://www.amazon.com/Yak-Girl-Growing-Remote-Region/dp/1591812887
Axel Çorlu: Bırakın soykırımı midye dolma Türk yemeği değildir dedim diye ölümle tehdit edildim by Ahval
Dorje Dolma is a visual artist, an inspirational speaker, and the author of Yak Girl: Growing Up in the Remote Dolpo Region of Nepal. She has been touring the world with her uplifting story and artwork and has given over hundred presentations for all ages in Europe, Nepal, Canada and the United States. She speaks about the centuries-old way of life in her isolated homeland, how it's being changed by the slow trickle of modernity now reaching it, and the most effective ways for first world citizens to help those in the third world. Her mission is to inspire others through writing, art and speaking to help spread kindness to others and the need for medical and educational resources in remote parts of the world, such as Dolpo. Dorje was born in Dolpo, Nepal, one of the most inaccessible places on earth, 4,000 meters high in the Himalayas. She was the oldest of eleven children, only six of whom survived the harsh conditions of their lives. She began herding the family's goats and sheep at age five and by seven she was defending them from attacks by wolves and snow leopards. At ten, Dorje's parents took her on a month-long trek to Kathmandu to find help for a serious health condition. There they encountered Westerners who arranged to bring Dorje to the United States and get her the surgery she needed to save her life. She eventually graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Fine Arts. She is the first female writer from Dolpo. If you are into Techno Music, you may have already come across one of D.A.V.E. Tracks from Hydraulix have found their way into the playlists of some of the worlds top DJs as well as keeping a huge following of underground Techno DJs across the globe.D.A.V.E's recent music reflects a shift toward a darker stripped back techno sound and the label is still at the forefront of the techno scene winning respect from many DJs and taking on board fresh young artists as well as releasing tracks by seasoned Hydraulix regulars. Still a hard working DJ and Producer, & currently running his weekly Sunday Session show during lockdown with wife Justine doing visuals D.A.V.E. is responsible for remixes and productions for many top techno labels including: Suara, Dolma, Finder, Techburst, Harthouse, Fine Audio, Noom, Reklusive, Respect, Naked Lunch, Phobiq, Elektrax, Techburst, Cluster, Stay Up Forever, Maximum Minimum, Routemaster, Smitten, Prolekult, Nucleas, Vcious Circle and of course Hydraulix, Apex and Mutate To Survive. The hosts talk about where the line is between bearing witness & reliving trauma. Then Rita tells the story of Ani Pachen Dolma, nicknamed the “Tibetan Warrior Nun.” Ani became the tribal leader of her clan after her father’s death, helping to fight the invading Chinese. She was imprisoned and tortured for many years, but miraculously didn’t give up. Support us through Patreon & Tee Public: https://linktr.ee/idkher_podcast

This is such a special episode for me because I got to sit down with a family member of mine who I never knew growing up. Her name is Rachel Dolma Balunsat, and I feel so blessed that the Alcoholic Entrepreneur Podcast has brought this conversation into the light. I've said it before and I'll say it again...we live many lives within our one life. Rachel's story is an example of gracefully navigating through each season of her life up to this point, and it starts as a child growing up in the rooms of AA.

Return : Poem written and narrated by Dr Priya Dolma Return : a delicate and sensitive poem about heartbreak, when a long-term relationship stops working, but ignites so many emotions from within. The perfect ode to imperfect ends, few miscalculations, some grief and a lot of nostalgia. This is just one of many poems from a new book, called Ivory Gleam. Priya's poetry has found home, among other places, in International Times, Urban Magazine, Artvilla, Headline Poetry, with work forthcoming in Tales of Reverie by Paragon Press. Dr Priya Dolma Tamang is a medical graduate from the north-east Indian state of Sikkim. With her tribal Nepali roots and deeply seated Buddhist beliefs, culture and mindfulness have both been active themes in her writing. Her debut book, Ivory Gleam, was published by Leadstart Publishers, Mumbai, in 2018. Daha bir layihə haqda və İbrahim Nəbioğlu ilə "Dolma və silikon" məqaləsi ətrafında müsahibə
This week we interviewed Dorje Dolma, author of the book Yak Girl. Dorje has an amazing story to tell about living as a young girl in the upper Dolpa region of Nepal - one of the most remote places in the world and then coming to America for a life saving surgery. Here's an excerpt: "I think life is both unexplainable and magical. How in the world does a girl from a 15,000-foot-high village with no schools–a girl who thought buses were giant cows–come to the U.S. and get into a university with 30,000 students so she can get her degree in Fine Arts? And how does she then go on to write a book about her life?"
In this episode, I had the privilege to speak to a poet of magnificent words Dr. Priya Dolma Tamang. Tsering Doma Sherpa is a Communications and Program Coordinator at Daayitwa in Nepal. Daayitwa (translates as ‘self-responsibility’ in English). The organization aims to enable a thriving Nepal where all citizens embrace their responsibilities to collectively transform societal challenges into innovative opportunities. Instead of chasing after financial advancement and pursuing a comfortable and stable life in the US (Tsering was educated in the US for more than 10 years), Tsering's wants to help others, especially people who are underprivileged and underserved. She worked for several organizations including Equal Access Nepal and the United Nations. In 2014, Tsering became a fellow at Daayitwa. In 2016, she began focusing on a program called WREAP, which stands for Women's Rural Acceleration Enterprise Project. This program didn't exist until recently. Tsering and her team discovered that out of the 60 applicants who applied to the regular REAP program, only seven were women. When one woman became one of the five finalists, she expressed this very statement in a video: "Now it's not just my turn, but 500 other women in Palpa, Nepal." With the support of grants and donations today at WREAP, many more female entrepreneurs can participate in leadership programs, technical training, networking, and facilitation of investment. Today's Guests on Around The Table Food Show: Ginny Zissis, coordinator of the New Orleans Greek Fest. Dave Emond, Development Director of Cafe Reconcile. The Big 4-OPA! The Greek Fest New Orleans Celebrates 40 Years! 40 years of Spanakopita, Souvlaki, Baklava, Dolma and Gyros on Bayou St. John. Oh, and we can’t forget the Greek music and dancing… OPA! That’s right, it’s been 40 years of celebrating Greek culture and heritage (and shouting OPA!) on Bayou St. John. More than a Church Fair… The Greek Fest Celebrates Faith and Hellenic Culture As a Catholic living in south Louisiana, I am very familiar with church fairs. With such a large Catholic population in Louisiana, it’s easy to find church fairs peppered all across the state, from New Orleans to Lake Charles… and even “up north” in Shreveport. In essence, the Greek Fest is the “church fair” of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. But, it’s also more than that. Over the last 40 years it has become an cultural and culinary icon in New Orleans. From the live Greek music provided by Greek band Alpha Omega! out of Atlanta, to the Hellenic Dancers who perform various traditional Greek dances in traditional garb, the Greek Fest beckons you to join in the fun and shout OPA! Of course, one of the biggest draws to the Greek Fest is the food. What most folks don’t know is that all the food is prepared by the parishioners. Over 150 lambs are slow-roasted on spits over the course of the weekend. Over 20 different traditional Greek pastries are available… all made by hand by a small army of volunteers. What’s on the Menu this Year at Greek Fest NOLA? There is lots on the menu every year at the Greek Fest. But here are some of our must-have favorites: the Gyro Sandwich, Roasted Lamb (pictured above), Fried Calamari, Feta Fries, Greek Salad, Traditional Greek Dinner (which includes tiropita, spanakopita, pastitsio, meatballs, and a Greek salad with dolma… which are stuffed grape leaves), Goatburgers. Ouzo and Greek wines from Anastasi Estates are available by the glass or by the bottle. Abita Beer is served on tap. For a cooler treat, you can try the delicious Pomegranate Iced Tea, Snowball, and Daiquiri Drinks. The pomegranate has long been a Greek symbol of abundance and good luck, and it is featured in three refreshing drinks this year. Cafe Reconcile: Feed Your Soul Cafe Reconcile's mission is simple: Reconcile New Orleans. Reconcile New Orleans "We are a community of concerned people committed to addressing the system of generational poverty, violence and neglect in the New Orleans area. Our innovative life skills and job training program assists young people (ages 16–22) from severely at-risk communities who desire to make a positive change in their lives. Reconcile’s students arrive facing a vast array of challenges, from extreme poverty and high school attrition to homelessness, violence, and participation in the juvenile justice system. Nonetheless, these young people possess a deep desire to break the cycle and become productive, contributing members of society. "Our nonprofit restaurant, located in the severely distressed Central City neighborhood of New Orleans, serves as the primary training ground for students seeking to acquire skills in the food service industry. Featuring soul-filled local dishes and some of the city’s lowest prices, Café Reconcile is a destination lunch spot for a wide cross-section of New Orleanians as well as visitors from all across the country." Cafe Reconcile's Mission Statement: Reconcile New Orleans transforms the lives of young adults and the community through the ministry of reconciliation. We do this by: encouraging personal growth, providing workforce development and training, promoting entrepreneurship, working with businesses, nonprofits and people of faith to support this transformation. Listen to show and go to CatholicFoodie.com to read more about Cafe Reconcile and the New Orleans Greek Fest.
