Toys For Games 'Cast - Collecting, playing with, and discussing toys-to-life
Yes, we did just do a show just a couple of days ago. No, we aren’t crazy to put out a turn-and-burn episode so quickly afterwards. Despite not having a bunch of news to fill our time on this episode, we decide to do you - the listening audience - one better and give you a very special episode. In Episode 97, we talk to the creators and developers of an exciting new entrant into the toys-to-life genre, called Toyji, which is aiming its innovative and unique blend of gaming and education towards a younger audience that hasn’t been reached out to properly … until now. We kick off the show by getting to know the Toyji team, diving into what makes this new toys-to-life game the first smart toy platform out there. We learn about the customizable characters, the innovative game pad, the game world itself, and why exactly the target demographic for Toyji - families with kids ages 3-8 - should be excited about their upcoming Kickstarter campaign. For all the information regarding Toyji, check out their website, and be sure to sign up for their mailing list! Getting to the news of the week(end), we discuss why the Lightseekers team has a tank, and a crazy idea for a Beasts of Balance expansion. We also chat about the Super Mario Maker 3DS port dropping amiibo support, and the Classic NES hysteria. We break down the final Skylanders Imaginator glam shots to be released and an impending Jingle Bell Chompy Mage release (among others!). Finally, the biggest news yet, is the release of Green Arrow - FOR FREE - to GameStop customers on Black Friday buying ANY LEGO Dimensions product. How cool is that?! From there, we read the #CommunityQuestion and awarded a listener a cool prize for having the Response of the Week. We skip the Inquire This! segment this week, sadly. And finally, we wrapped up the show with some fantastic emails, as always! All this, and more, only in Episode 97! Executive Producers: Jorge Torres! Our Sponsors: SHOW SPONSOR - Devin Laschinski (YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/Dlasch2) James Holian (@InfinityMuseum) Matt Sonnenberg (@SCLMatt) from SkylandersCharacterList.com and Facebook.com/SkylandersCharacterList Micheal O'Driscoll (@amiibo_Museum) Christopher Long (@clong83), from Long’s Toys. Rich, Matt & Jake return to the table ready for another VGS. In a news heavy episodes, the guys discuss the remaining video game releases for 2016, how a political view could mean trouble for Oculus Rift, some sweet game deals, Super Mario Maker 3DS only running in 2D, the final stop in the Curt Schilling/38 Studios journey, Digital Homicide committing virtual suicide, and much more. We also have some emails to discuss as well.
Infendo Radio is on now! This week we are rejoined by Mike from NintendoFever once again to discuss NX, Super Mario Maker 3DS features (or lack thereof), and play a musical Nintentunes game. Do you have any questions/comments for the show? Be sure to shoot an email to tips@infendo.com.
