Yes! Vaquero Guapo is back! You are in. Fringe 7. What happens when we get it wrong? Thanks for joining the Fringe this week. What happens when we get it wrong? A lot! It's why many of you have stayed away from church. A church becomes more about jumping through hoops or protecting the abuser vs. the abused. It can go sideways fast. That's why I firmly believe in the separation of church and state, and that's coming from a Jesus believer. For your favorite Fringer that you know has been pushed away or ran away from church, would you share this podcast with them? Break it down. Talk about the Good, Bad and Ugly. When and if you decide to go back to church, my rule of thumb is simple. One, the church has to be more about Jesus and loving others vs. loving themselves. Do they work with the entire Bible? Not just bits and pieces that fit their agenda of hate or oppression or justification. Are they more about loving others than money for themselves? There's a Christian church out there for you. When things lift, I encourage you to give it another go. If you do have a church that you love and gets above right? Let us know and we'll plug it and let that community know it is Fringe friendly. Hit us up at FriDudes.com and send us a message on the 'Contact Us' page.Ending on a song note, you know what I love about the Fringe? I don't feel the pressure to end on a perfect song. Often, we get to end on an edgy song. Now, this song isn't Vaquero endorsed. We'll see what he has to say about in Fringe 8. Confession, I really like Metallica. Shhhhhh. Don't tell anybody. What happens when we get it wrong? Master of Puppets comes to mind. Hey, I'm not just picking on certain churches here either. Think of North Korea or China or Russia. You don't talk like us. You don't believe like us. You are out. Listener. You are smart. You've been sticking with us because I'm certain you are not afraid to question. What is Truth? Does the Truth set you free? Who really wants Truth and who really just wants to control? You are most likely book smart. You may be street smart. Are you spiritually smart? Or are you just a puppet? This is Master of Puppets by Metallica, if you dig, give them some love and add it to your very eclectic/independent minded music mix...

What is TRUTH? "Does it light you up? Or does it put you into fear? It is an impossibility to know THE TRUTH. Meaning there are so many perspectives . This multidimensional universe is far more complex than the human is allowed to experience. There is only so much that you are supposed to, or are designed to access. Yes, you can have cosmic multidimensional experiences. But if you are looking for "the truth" you are going to run yourself into trouble. If you are looking for YOUR TRUTH, your truth is what gets you back in your own body in a way that gets you feeling more wellbeing, happy, and in more joyous service. Truth seekers are not actually seeking truth, they are seeking themselves." ~Lee Harris

What is Truth- Does it exist- Our culture denies the reality of objective, unchanging truth. Culture has replaced God as the source of truth, however culture's truth is evolving, changing. Being of one mind presupposes unchanging truth which can be known because the God who knows all things has revealed some things to us without error. He has done this with the Bible composed of 66 books. Without this there can not be one mindedness among His saints.

What is Truth? Does Truth exist? Does it matter?

‘I was born for this, I came into the world for this, to bear witness to the Truth.’ What is Truth? Does truth exist? If it does, does it matter? Perhaps an easy definition of truth is reality. And if we’re talking about reality, there’s only one reality, God is, God exists. And everything that God speaks exists. ‘Let there be light’ and there was light. ‘Let the waters separate into those above and those below’, and it happened. ‘Let the earth come forth’, ‘let trees and the seeds in them spring out of the earth’ and so it was. This is reality. ‘Let the waters bring forth living creatures and the air bring forth the birds’, and these things happened. These are the realities. ‘Let the ground be filled with creeping creatures of all kinds’ and the animals came forth. And then God said, ‘let us make man in our own image and likeness. And he fashioned man out of the soil of the earth and breathed into his nostrils and man became a living being’, another reality, perhaps the greatest reality – because man, male and female are made in the image and likeness of God who alone is reality. The Lord God put the man in the garden with all things subject to him, with one commandment - ‘The tree that stands in the middle of the garden, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat it, do not touch it, on the day you eat of it, you will surely die the death’. That also was real. But then the serpent came and asked the question. ‘Did God really say really say you could not eat of any of the trees?’ and this terrible dialogue began between the serpent and the woman, which lead to the woman believing the serpent, believing a fantasy, believing a lie, unreality is what she embraced… For Fr. Linus’ complete homily please listen to the Audio.
