W are asking our brothers and sisters to give us their blessing. We use Christ's vision to see our own "sinlessness" and see the "sinlessness" of our brothers. We ask all those we encounter for their blessing. We will receive it to the degree we give the blessing. We see the totality in the Mind of God which contains all minds. Not only is our mind joined in this Holy Mind, but our brothers' minds as well are part of this One Mind. We use the body as a "separation device" instead of a "communication device." The Body has no meaning essentially, but it can be used to communicate a blessing, which joins us in the Essence of our Self of Love. Can we transcend the fear and hate that starts in the mind and undo it. The blessing / prayer we can extend: "Give me your blessing, holy Son of God.I behold you with the eyes of ChristAnd see my perfect sinlessness in you."

In Philippians chapter 1 we saw Paul detailing his hardship and how he continued to persevere…until verse 26 where Paul speaks about his struggle and how he defined life: for me to LIVE is Christ (meaning every breath he takes was because of God's goodness)…and then he says TO DIE is gain (that if this fleshly existence ended, Jesus is still faithful and in control). In verse 26, Paul stops focusing on his own trials and starts to talk about the Philippians' trials. It's important to remember Paul's letters did not originally have chapter or verse breaks. Chapter 2 is not a new thought; it is a continuation. Paul starts with the word “so” Phil 2:1-2 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. We have been waiting a long time for this episode with our friend Thomas McConkie. As many of you know, Thomas is an incredibly skilled meditation teacher and guide on the path of spiritual awakening. Faith Matters produced his very popular online course Transformations of Faith and also published his incredible book At-One-Ment, which has deeply impacted so many readers. For the last several years, Thomas has been doing graduate work at Harvard Divinity School. All the while, we have been exploring with Thomas the  possibility of creating a podcast to help us all hit the pause button in our busy daily lives and give time to a rich meditation and prayer practice. As Thomas is coming to the end of his program at Harvard, the time seemed right to launch this series. And so we are excited to share with you today the first episode of this new podcast, named One Heart, One Mind. Thomas is a teacher and researcher who is fascinated by consciousness, growth and  transformation. He is especially interested in Christian contemplation and what it means to re-embody Christ's teachings in new and unique ways for these challenging times–ways that will lead to deeper connection to God and to those around us. In One Heart One Mind, we will join Thomas in searching Christianity and the world's Wisdom traditions for gems and insights into awakening, transformation, and the soul's journey Home.
