A Boston Bruins podcast by Boston Bruins fans. We talk Bruins, hockey, beer, and other great stuff. We're just BEARly on Topic.
We're back talking about the Bruins season wrap up, head coach candidates, and all sorts of other stuff.
This week we're talking about the Bruins trade deadline and evaluating the deals that Don Sweeney made
This week we're talking about the trade deadline. Usually, the Boston Bruins under Donny Sweeney's management have been buyers but this season is different and the former Sweenius is going to have to balance selling and attaining assets. Who will be on the move? Trent Frederic (edit: yes)? Brandon Carlo? Morgan Geekie? We talk about all that and more.
This week we're all about GOOD VIBES ONLY so we talk very very little about this Bruins team.
So this week, we really (didn't) want to talk about Bruins hockey. It was a rough week and we needed to blow off so steam at the team and also talk about what seems to be a myriad of topics: sitcoms and shows we like Mortal Kombat Jonathan Taylor Thomas vs JT Miller and many more!
This week we have a very long but enjoyable conversation. Spanning from the Bruins and how they are playing right now to the idea of a 3-point game to history of the game, we're mostly on topic with hockey this week. I apologise for the audio quality. It is not up to my usual standard.
This week we discuss the two games the Bruins played against the Lightning and the Senators. We continue our discussion of what the Bruins should do at and before the trade deadline based upon the comments that Bruins President Cam Neely made this week. And do you know what Zebulon, GA is most famous for?
This week we're entertaining the idea of shaking up the roster through trades. Who should stay? Who should go? Who should make these decisions? Is Don Sweeney worth keeping now? We answer these questions and more!
This week we're back from break and we're talking about the week's games. And we're still dealing with the ghost of Jim Montgomery
This week, we're talking about the Bruins winning ways, what's up with Pasta, and how Sacco needs to keep making Zacha-Pasta a thing
This week we're talking about how the Bruins have improved under HC Joe Sacco, what problems still remain, and how they've finally scored a third period goal at home. And of course, we go way off topic as well.
This week we discuss the immediate aftermath of the Montgomery firing, whether or not we think Swayman and Korpisalo should have a regular rotation until Swayman finds his way, car colors, and what we thought of House of the Seven Gables. No, seriously. It fits in a weird way
Well, this either aged well or not. This week we're basically having a bit of a b*tchsesh because this Boston Bruins team is terrible and just no fun to watch. and of course, we have some other fun nonsense going on.
This week, we're kind of fed up with the lack of scoring and even more specifically the lack of shots on goal. So we try to figure out where the problem lays: coaching, leadership, or the players?
This week we we talk about the tricks (Flyers, Canes) and the treats (2nd Flyers, Kraken). Do you know why that one goal was discounted? Mandi will explain. And we learn about the mythological origins of the Kraken together.
Sorry, we're a little behind. This week is we talk about the lackluster efforts against the Predators and Stars and the good win against the Maple Leafs. And other things.

The Bruins up and down play is making it difficult to know what kind of team they are
Ha ha ha! This is the forgotten episode that was edited and unuploaded. It's fun, I promise
We're back with a brand new episode for a brand new hockey season. We're talking about the Swayman ordeal and subsequent contract, how we feel about this team, and of course the amount of BEEF (Big Effin' Enormous Fückers) that we have on this team, especially on D.
This week we're all about the Bruins draft picks and free agency signings. Tim tells us all about his travels. And we talk about a Little Caesars date.
In this episode we discuss the various places that Linus Ullmark could be traded to along with the idea that he could remain for his final year. The Bruins need a 1C. Will they be able to find that through free agency or trade? We talk about centers and other forwards that could be available through both.
It's been a while and now we're back wrapping up the season that was.
Truthfully, we spend very little time talking about the Bruins-Leafs matchup because we all know all about it. But, we do talk time to talk about the Arizona-SLC situation (RIP Coyotes) and bid farewell to Jack Edwards who is retiring following this playoff series
This week we're just keeping up with the Bruins winning ways.
In this episode the ganag's all here and we're mostly wrapping up the trade deadline by talking about the Bruins acquisitions.
This week it's a solo show for VA, who hits on topics such as recent Bruins games, Jack Edwards, and updates on the trade deadline happenings around the league.
This week , we're talking a little about last week's games (ugh) and what we want to happen at the trade deadline (double ugh).
This week, we're talking about how the Bruins are playing after the All Start break. Their 7-game homestand was not as successful as they or we would have liked. Will their luck change this next week on the road?
This week it's just the New England faction holding down the fort talking about the Bruins win streak against good teams and the beat down of the Habs on Saturday night. It's always a glorious day to hate the Habs!
Have you wanted to hear the unique vocal stylings of Tim singing CCR? Then this is the episode for you! We're back and trying to muddle through what we think this team is and look forward tio what they should do at the deadline while noting how players are right now. We discuss the pile of bodies that are the injured and speculate about what is going on with Grzelcyk.
This week we start off very off topic and go from there. Matty Pots is of to the WJC. Geekie has finally activated. No one can stop Coyle or Pasta in the shootout. All fun stuff. But then we mull over what the Bruins could ask if other teams wanted one of Swaymark tandem. (For the record, we do not want the tandem split up nor do we believe it will happen.)
After a month's hiatus, we're back and boy do we have a lot to talk about.
This week, we're struggling through technical difficulties. Whether it's a malfunctioning computer, a toddler requiring assistance, or players who seem to be a little off, we're working through it.
The Bruins have wrapped their Californian swing and we learned some things about the team. One of the things we learned was that MattyPots could be staying for a long time.
On this new edition of Bearly ion Topic we answer many burning questions that everyone wants answered like: 1. Is Carlton Fisk still alive? 2. Can a 19 year-old legally drink alcohol in Canada? 3. How old is Erik Karlsson? In addition to all that we talk about the first two games, give our new center a new nickname, and stop letting Chicago's goaltending affect our lives.
It's the Boston Bruins centennial year and we're here for it. So we start off our ninth season of BoT talking about the roster and making our predictions for the season. Who predicted that Poitras, Beecher, and Lohrei would bestaples of the lineup by December? Who predicted that Connor McDavid would join the Bruins at the trade deadline? Who think that Poitras will be a Calder finalist? Did someone predict something even bigger? Listen and find out!
After a long hiatus, we're back with a long overdue episode about the retirements of both Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci. And of course, we get sidetracked as usual.
This week we're wrapping up our business from the season that was including going over our predictions from just prior to the start of the season. Who won? Who knows? Then we talk about a lot of stuff, namely free agency including the return of Milan Lucic. We gloss over the draft because there wasn't much there.
How long does it take me to put out an episode in which we grapple with our feelings (mostly disappointment) about the Boston Bruins first round exit? Apparently almost a month. This episode is about us trying to figure out what happened, how we feel about what happened, and not at all about what the future Bruins team will look like. That is for another episode.
This week the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers played 4 games of their first round series and we're here to talk about them. With Patrice Bergeron out with an undisclosed injury, it's up to (Alternate) Captain Brad to lead the team to victory (3 times, not bad) and help his team avoid the pitfalls of playing against the Swamp Kittens. Guess who doesn't have any PIM in this series? Anyway, we discuss the games and how we feel that the series will go from here.
We made it! It's playoff time! With the Bruins taking on the Panthers in the first round, we decided to take a look at the matchup and predict what we think will happen.
We love this team. We do. The Bruins broke the record for single season wins. Should they rest everyone after or go for the record of standings points? Pasta scores 60 goals and reached more career milestones. We talk about who we'd rather the Bruins face in the first round and how we think a first round between the Leafs and Bolts. Who will be Seventh Player? All this and more...
In this episode we talk about what we learned from the Bruins last real roadtrip of the season. We also talk about players who are having great seasons and who should win the Seventh Player. What about the NHL Awards? Yeah, we've got it. Injuries? wish we had better news. And Tim gives a very thoughtful opinion on James Reimer.
This week we're talking about the trade deadline: what the Bruins did and what other teams in the East did. Who were we surprised by? Who were we not? How are the new Bruins acquisitions turning out? All this and more!
Last week we recorded an episode. However, life got in the way of releasing it. The trouble of recording an episode around the trade deadline is that information can become outdated very quickly. So instead of releasing the whole thing, I decided that we'd just release the reaction to the trade we knew about and the best thing to happen in a long time: Linus Ullmark's goalie goal!
This week we review the Bruins 4 game win streak and talk about the Bruins trade deadline possibilities
This week we're only discussing two games, one before the break (Maple Leafs) and one after (Capitals). The team couldn't have played any differently in these two games. Then we start talking about the trade deadline and discover there's a lot to unpack.
It was bound to happen. Geoff tried to warn us months ago that we'd have to deal with it. But who thinks about skids when their team is just playing bonkers hockey? Yes, the Boston Bruins have experienced their first real losing streak of 3 games. There's no need to panic, they just need some rest. We talk about those games and look forward to the one game in the near future.
This week we are joined by special guest and friend of the pod Mandi who takes her due credit for the improvement of one player on the squad. We talk about all the games and some dirty goals from some filthy players. VA tries her hand at calling a fight while Tim tells us how we could deal with a stupidly high QO on a potential trade.
Hey, we're back. This time we're trying our best to sound smart. While we gloss over the three game California trip that was mostly past our bedtimes, we mostly talk about the game against the Kraken and the appointment viewing that was the Leafs-Bruins game on Saturday night. We talk about Zacha's new deal and what that means. And of course, we make our soft predictions for the next week. This team is bonkers and incredibly fun!
