On this episode of the Kid Contractor Podcast, Caleb reflects on the decision to continue his Together in the Trades events after a successful weekend in Arizona. Auman also explores a series of philosophical quotes from entrepreneur Naval Ravikant, focusing on themes like escaping competition through authenticity and the value of meaningful work. Throughout the episode, Caleb shares personal anecdotes about balancing labor with leadership and the importance of professional development in the green industry. The podcast concludes with a look toward future growth and upcoming training opportunities at the Hardscape Academy. Key Takeaways: Focus on being authentic in your business and service to escape the pressure of competing solely on price or standard offerings. Act on new ideas and inspiration immediately because that creative energy is perishable and fades quickly over time. Delegate routine tasks and busy work to others so you can focus on high-impact activities like building client relationships and scaling your company. Implement clear documentation and photo-sharing systems on every job site to eliminate miscommunication and resolve disputes with facts rather than guesses. Prioritize your personal growth and mindset to ensure you are becoming happier as you age, as that is the ultimate test of success. Connect with Auman Landscape

With the Steelers playing on Black Friday this year, the amount of leftover food will be a sight to see. Crowley continues to try and fix sports. ESPN sent out a list of potential trade targets for all teams. ESPN says that the Pirates need to add a couple of arms(duh), to become more of a contender. Crowley does not see the Marlins as a good team just a hot team. Crowley has some questions about what it will take for the Pirates to make the playoffs. Will the Pirates add another arm to the bullpen? Dorin says they will, whether it is the right arm or not. Crowley and Dorin are not fans of the Brandon Eisert part of the trade. Will Oneil Cruz and Spencer Horwitz continue their success when they return from the injured list? Can the Pirates go on a hot streak during the second half of the season? Crowley says they can as they have yet to have a true "hot streak" this season and it is due at some point. What better point of the season to get a hot stretch than the second half? Crowley accuses Dorin of flexing for the camera, however I don't think Crowley knows what muscles are and cannot differentiate stretching and flexing. An in depth dive into the trade targets on the top 100 list. Would you rather add Luis Arraez for the Pirates at second base and move on from Brandon Lowe or keep Lowe without an extension?

With markets back in rotation mode, OptionsPlay's Tony Zhang says he's watching how that rotation plays into a climb of tensions between the U.S. and Iran, along with CPI and PPI pointing to an inflation downtrend. He says hyperscalers need to show earnings growth to restore long-term investor confidence in tech. Tony highlights one of those hyperscalers: Amazon (AMZN), which he likes due to its recent outperformance. He sees a similar trend in Alibaba (BABA) but warns his bullishness here is more speculative. Episode 100 is here, and I am recording it on my iPhone from a makeshift desk in Bangkok, where I am living and running my whole business for the next four months. Three years ago I turned on a microphone with no plan and no idea if I would make it to episode 10. This one is not a highlight reel. It is 10 things that 100 episodes have taught me, and more than anything, it is a thank you.In this episode:It did not start as a podcast Episode one was never meant to air. Why you do not have to have it all figured out to begin, and how to start messy.Slower served everyone better Why I moved from weekly to two episodes a month, and how the pace that gets recommended to you is not always the right one.Value your time, not just your work The year of no, why boundaries protect your time, and why I choose the word value over worth.I learned to love the quiet How solitude went from something I avoided to the thing I would protect first.Shut up and listen What 100 guest conversations taught me about listening, choosing whose advice to take home, and why not all advice is good advice.Build it so it runs without you The Bangkok lesson. A business that cannot run without you is not freedom, it is a job you cannot quit. Build your systems now.AI is the taskmaster, I am still the brain How I actually use AI in my business, where I leaned in too hard early on, and why nothing hits the public eye without me.I am not here to yap Why the loudest voice in the room is not always the one worth your time.Free does not mean it costs nothing A personal ask about feedback, and why we should tell the baker the bread was good. You don't have to do any of this The one I most want you to hear. Take what serves you and leave the rest.If these 100 episodes have given you anything, here is the birthday gift that helps most: leave a review and set the podcast to download automatically.
