Today on the DFO Rundown, Jason Gregor was joined by Jeff Marek from The Sheet to recap everything we've seen over the last 72 hours in the NHL.There were some big contracts handed out as the free agency window opened and usually, this is the time of the year where big mistakes are made. The guys started today's podcast by talking about one team that they think really improved themselves this summer: the Montreal Canadiens. Are they good enough to be a team that wins playoff rounds next year? They discussed it.From there, they talked about the moves that the Anaheim Ducks made so far this summer. They brought in some veterans in Chris Krieder and Mikael Granlund and while they moved on from Trevor Zegras, it's easy to see a path to the Ducks improving. They then talked about the Mitch Marner saga and him officially becoming a member of the Vegas Golden Knights. Should Vegas be considered the favourites in the West? They also touched on the way the Maple Leafs handled the situation and the Florida Panthers finding a way to keep all their free agents around.Tyler then popped in for Buy or Sell where he asked about the Ken Holland's moves with the Kings, the bottom-five teams in the league and the remaining free agents on the board. They wrapped up the show by talking about James Reimer and some of the names still out on the market, the impact some of the new Head Coaches around the league could have and the state of the Dallas Stars after the hiring of Glen Gulutzan.1:10 - How much better are the Habs?8:30 - Are the Ducks good enough?15:40 - Marner & the Golden Knights23:00 - The Leafs rebound27:30 - Bennett & the Panthers33:10 - Buy or Sell50:00 - The new coaches52:00 - Stars hire GulutzanWant to hear more from Jason and the entire DFO team? The playoffs are wrapped up, though the Panthers are probably still partying hard, and it seems there's more hockey to talk than ever! First off, we talk Sergei Kostitsyn — the other half of the brotherly duo (we talked Andrei back in November) who played for both the Habs and the Predators, and became known as much for their off-ice exploits as for their performance at the rink! We also learn why it pays to have good linemates and play junior hockey for the Hunter brothers! Then we do a quick draft recap — not many surprises as round one went pretty much chalk. The trades were the thing that sent ripples as some big names are moving to new teams — Noah Dobson to MTL, John Gibson to DET, and JJ Peterka to UTAH, with Michael Kesselring shufflin' back to Buffalo. As teams jockey for financial position in advance of free agency opening on Tuesday, some old faces — Tavares, Bennett and Benn have already decided that the grass isn't greener — buckle up kids, it's about to get spicy! Finally, we dip into the mailbag to answer some great questions from the listeners out there — plus, will co-host Tom finally make amends with Lindy?

The youngest third of The Stastny Brothers Anton Stastny talks about collectively scoring over 1000 points for the Quebec Nordiques, playing on the same line with older brothers Marian and Peter, those crazy Battles of Quebec against the Habs, their dramatic defection from communist Czechoslovakia to Quebec City, scoring 28 points with Peter in just two games, taking care of Joe Sakic when he started with the Nordiques and then Joe returning the favour by taking care of Anton's nephew Paul years later as teammates on the Avalanche, and the brothers' idolization of fellow countrymen ‘Big Ned' Vaclav Nedomansky and Stan ‘Stosh' Mikita who blazed that trail to the NHL!
