In this Friday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan covers the U.S. government shutdown's impact on national security, Democrats' energy messaging strategy, Ford's massive electric truck losses, China's latest espionage scandal, and new medical research linking heart and brain health. U.S. Troops Told to Visit German Food Banks: A U.S. Army base in Bavaria posted a list of local soup kitchens for service members and families struggling during the shutdown — a move that shocked German media and sparked Pentagon embarrassment. Bryan warns foreign spy agencies could exploit unpaid American personnel for recruitment, saying, "That's how the CIA would target desperate officers abroad — and it's happening to us now." Democrats' Winning Playbook: Democrats' recent election victories were fueled by economic messaging, especially on rising energy costs. Bryan explains how candidates tied AI data centers and electric vehicles to higher utility bills — a strategy Republicans must counter before 2026. Ford's Electric F-150 Collapse: The automaker faces $13 billion in losses after poor demand for its Lightning pickup. Bryan notes Toyota's hybrid-first strategy is proving right, calling the EV rush "a cultish demand that ignored market reality." China's Espionage and Agricultural Games: Three Chinese nationals in Michigan were arrested for smuggling genetically modified worms, while Beijing signed $5 billion in new U.S. grain deals. Bryan warns that "China is both robbing our labs and buying our fields." Trump Weighs Action in Nigeria and Venezuela: The President is considering U.S. military intervention in Nigeria to protect Christians from Islamist attacks while reviewing regime-change options in Venezuela. Bryan asks listeners to consider: "How many American lives would we trade to save others abroad?" Dementia and Heart Disease Discoveries: British scientists found that small increases in heart enzyme levels may predict dementia risk years before symptoms. Meanwhile, South Korean researchers discovered gut bacteria linked to coronary artery disease, reinforcing the connection between diet, heart health, and brain function. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: U.S. Army Bavaria food banks shutdown, Pentagon security risk spy recruitment, Democrats energy utility bill messaging, Ford F-150 Lightning EV losses, Toyota hybrid success, Chinese bioresearch smuggling Michigan, Trump Nigeria Christians military intervention, Venezuela Maduro regime change debate, dementia heart enzyme biomarker, gut bacteria coronary artery disease

Sheena's three stage framework Activate, prove value safely • Define the problem, validate AI fit, run a small pilot. • Track accuracy thresholds and time saved. • Example, auto draft responses to repetitive compliance questionnaires from a vetted knowledge base. Amplify, spread what works • Connect adjacent teams, add light governance, share patterns. • Run cross team pilots and publish playbooks. • Example, connect support tickets, payments, compliance, partner success to detect issues proactively. Accelerate, institutionalize • Assign ownership, embed training, integrate tools, set ROI guardrails. • Roll out across channels and systems with quality gates. • Example, ad copy system owned by demand gen, content as QA, used across paid, email, social. Hot Takes from Sheena “Policy enables speed if you write it to unblock safe experiments.” “Stop memorizing tool steps, learn the concepts so they transfer.” “Solve the boring problem first, that is where AI pays for itself.” “If NRR belongs to someone, it belongs to everyone.” Resources & Links Sheena Miles on LinkedIn Women Defining AI, podcast and community n8n About FutureCraft Stay tuned for more insightful episodes from the FutureCraft podcast, where we continue to explore the evolving intersection of AI and GTM. Intro: [00:00:00] Welcome to Uptime Spotlight, shining Light on Wind Energy's brightest innovators. This is the Progress Powering Tomorrow. Allen Hall: Welcome to the Uptime Wind Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Alan Hall, and I'm with Joel Saxon. And we are in Ann Arbor, Michigan with Matthew Stead, chief Product Officer. And co-founder of eLog Ping and he is traveled all the way from Australia to be here in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We are at the Skys Specs customer Forum 2025. We've been spending the last couple of days with most of the operators in the United States, uh, learning about what issues they are having and how they're using Skys specs to reduce their overall operational costs. Boy, Matthew, it, it is been a really interesting couple of days hearing where customers are struggling and where they are trying to attack lost revenue. Matthew Stead: Yeah, I think it's [00:01:00] been amazing. I'm so pleased to be here. And, you know, it was great to get the invitation, uh, from Skyspace. I, I think, um, really the things that I've been hearing is the data and pulling data together, uh, to getting those insights as to what's going wrong and then, and then fixing it and getting the money back. Joel Saxum: Yeah. Yeah. The, the big thing here, we're talking about the one big beautiful build, and it's followed on the industry. Matthew Stead: Yeah. Joel Saxum: Right. So the, the theme of the event is prevent, perform, or prevent, prevent, predict, perform, I'm gonna get it wrong again. Allen Hall: There's three Ps, Joel Saxum: three very important ps. But what we're looking at is, is how, how can digitalization, how can the next generation of op intelligent asset management change the way we do things? Because you can't do things reactively like we were in the past anymore. Matthew Stead: Yeah, Joel Saxum: right. Even when budgets were tight before they're gonna get even tighter. We're gonna, and we're gonna have to make sure that these assets are running. And that's where like your smarter, smarter, smarter, smarter, right? Yeah. Your solutions come into play. The Skys specs team. The, the, the conversations in the sessions. The [00:02:00] conversations around the sessions, the conversations over a beer. Matthew Stead: Yeah. Yeah. Joel Saxum: They have all been about the same concepts, right? About how can we do this better, more efficiently. And one of the reasons I really like events. Like this is, like you said, Allen, you have all these operators. Yeah. You have all of these engine. It's a, it's a room full of 50 engineers that probably control man, 60 to 70% of the Allen Hall: Oh yeah. Matthew Stead: The US Joel Saxum: fleet. In the US fleet. Right. So you have so much knowledge, so much sharing, and it's an open forum. You have people p piping up, Hey, we use this strategy. Hey, we do this. I heard some really cool things this week. Matthew Stead: Yeah, I, I, at breakfast this morning, I was sitting to two guys, one from Canada, one from the US and they were talking about Repowering. One guy's got GE turbines. He didn't know that he could put a vestas in a cell on a G turbine. Joel Saxum: Yeah. Matthew Stead: And so these guys have exchanged details. Ban.

0:00 - First up, Mad Dog did what he does best...which is go on a nuclear rant about nothing important. After that, Landeskog wanted to fight a member of the Lightning late in last night's game, but they couldn't overcome a language barrier, so they didn't drop the gloves.14:31 - Deion switched who's calling plays on offense before the Arizona game, and didn't tell us. He said it's not his responsibility to tell us when he makes coaching/staff changes. Okay...? Next, Packers TE Tucker Kraft is injured. He's not dead! He's still very much alive. Can someone tell Romeo Doubs that?31:05 - Marc Spears said he spoke with multiple NBA head coaches and executives, and none of them have interest in Ja Morant. It's a combination of issues both on and off the field. Can you think of another player who fell like this? Someone with immense talent who's being shunned because of personality issues?

0:00 - Nothing's official yet...but the internet seems to think the Broncos are trading for Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle. Would he instantly made Denver a better team?13:35 - The more and more Brett digs into these Waddle to Denver rumors, it makes more and more sense. There's too much smoke. That's gotta mean there's some fire. After that, Deion had some great coachspeak psychobabble when asked about whether or not he can fix CU's issues. Does he know what the problems are and how to fix them?30:54 - The Lightning are a good hockey team! The Avs need to bring their A game tonight. Please please please don't let it go to OT!Ja Morant recently returned from yet another suspension, then said he's lost his joy while playing basketball. Man, what a swift decline. He went from the most electric player in the sport to...whatever he is now. And it all started that one fateful night at Shotgun Willie's.
0:00 - Some people have been comparing Bo Nix's late game theatrics to the Elway years. Thrilling comebacks against all odds! November 3, 1880. Congressman James Garfield wakes up on his quiet farm in Ohio to learn that he's been elected President of the United States. He never campaigned to be on the ticket. He never wanted the presidency. But the nation, weary of corruption and hungry for reform, has chosen him to lead. But four months after taking office, Garfield will be shot by a man who believes he's owed a government position. And the president's short, remarkable life will end in tragedy. This week, we're talking with writer and showrunner Mike Makowsky, creator of the new Netflix series Death by Lightning, about the extraordinary story of America's forgotten president. How did Garfield rise from poverty to the presidency? What might he have achieved if he'd lived? And what does his assassination reveal about political violence, then and now? Death by Lightning releases on Netflix on November 6th. It's an adaptation of Destiny of the Republic by Candace Millard, which we also consulted for this episode. -- Get in touch: historythisweekpodcast@history.com Follow on Instagram: @historythisweek Follow on Facebook: HISTORY This Week Podcast To stay updated: http://historythisweekpodcast.com To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
