In the final episode of the special Diversity, Equity & Inclusion series of Charge Up Charge On, we get to hear from Dr. David Kyle, an instructor in the Kinesiology department at UAH as well as the director of the UAH Ability Sports Network. Part 2 of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion series of Charge Up Charge on explores the topic of Equity. Hear from the former Equity intake officer, Brandie Roberts, the VP of Diversity Equity and Inclusion as well as the Title IX Coordinator for UAH, Laterrica Shelton, as well as Joshua Thompson, an ODEI Ambassador and the President of Alabama's NAACP Youth and College Division.

Welcome back to Charge Up Charge On. This summer we have seen a rise in social justice conversations and have witnessed many issues regarding diversity, inclusion and equity plastered in the headlines. Keeping with the social climate, this special edition series of Charge Up Charge On provides commentary on the topics of diversity, equity and inclusion by talking with various students, faculty and staff across UAH's campus to clarify what these topics mean, how they relate to the higher education setting, how it relates to UAH and resources Chargers have. In part 1, we get to hear from ODEI's Karessa Acosta-Lee & Devin Townsend, as well as an ODEI student ambassador, Amber Hinton.

This week we take a look at Phase 2 of Class of 2024 Orientation and what that includes with a conversation with OL Coordinators, Heather Hunt and Alex Olmeda-Rodriguez. We also spoke with OLLI Program Manager, Ale Pacheco about UAH's OLLI Program. That's not it though! Huntsville.IO co-founders Shelby Larson and Madison Travis joined in to talk about the newly launched Defense Marketing company and UAH's i2C.

This week, we get the opportunity to hear from all of the Greek Councils about the upcoming recruitment season and how COVID-19 might affect it. While much is still yet to be solidified, Ally Amoroso (NPC), Michaela Dent (NPHC) and Will McCormick (IFC), provide insight on how each council is moving forward with planning for the recruitment season in the Fall. As always, this episode includes UAH News and Admissions updates. This is the perfect episode for any current or incoming student who is interested in going Greek!

This week, we get to hear from Jean Brown, a marketing professor in the College of Business, about how the semester looked from the eyes of an instructor. We also hear from Associate Dean of the College of Business and Associate Professor for Economics and Computational Analysis, Dr. Wafa Orman about how COVID-19 is affecting the economy. Lastly, we caught up with Dr. Jennifer Sims and Dr. Christina Steidl from the Sociology department about how the pandemic is affecting dating and other sociological impacts.

In this episode, we get to hear from seniors, Greta Paris and Josh Strange, about topics such as research and how UAH has impacted them. We also get to hear from College of Engineering Advisor, Jacob Kerstiens about some updates in the College of Engineering. This episode is packed with campus updates and tons of UAH News as well.

This week, we get to hear from Associate Director of Events & Orientation Ashley Miller to talk about a mjor announcement regarding New Student Orienation for Summer 2020. We also talk with College of Nursing Advisor Laura Mann, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Outreach and Retention Coordinator Jenny Russell-Clifton, SGA President Elect Jess Hunter & SGA VP Elect Grant Whitt.

In Episode 2, we talk about how Campus Recreation and Student Life are continuing to stay active through the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders and provide us with information on what Chargers have to look forward to in the Fall. We also get to hear from Dr. Jerome Baudry about his research that is assisting in the fight against COVID-19. We also provide UAH News and important updates to the Admissions Process.
