Marc Vandermeer counts down the top 5 Texans plays of 2025 with John Harris before the NFL Combine. From Mills' TD scramble to Rankins' scoop and score and more. With the NFL Combine starting next week, Marc Vandermeer and John Harris put the 2025 season to rest once and for all by counting down Marc's Top 5 Plays and Moments of the year — complete with original radio calls, behind-the-scenes reactions, and details fans may have forgotten. The show opens with raw, honest "post-seasonitis" therapy as both hosts admit this was the hardest Texans season to get over, even harder than 2012. Marc reveals that Bills reporter Sal Capaccio shared the same gut feeling at the Senior Bowl: "We should have been in Houston playing you guys." The countdown begins with an honorable mention (Davis Mills' clutch third-and-16 completion to Nico Collins at Tennessee that saved the winning streak), then moves through the Azeez Al-Shaair "hot potato pick" off Travis Kelce at Kansas City (#5), C.J. Stroud's 75-yard bomb to Jayden Higgins to open the Chargers game in LA (#4), Calen Bullock's fourth-down interception to seal the Buffalo win on Thursday Night Football (#3), Sheldon Rankins' scoop-and-score strip sack against the Steelers in the playoff opener (#2), and the number one moment — Davis Mills' 14-yard scrambling touchdown against Jacksonville that completed the 19-point comeback and ignited the 10-game winning streak.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Grayson Brulte went on location to Miami to inspect Waymo's infrastructure buildout across the city, uncovering two depots that reveal the company's ambitious plans to scale to thousands of vehicles in South Florida. The first depot, located adjacent to Miami International Airport, has not yet broken ground but sits on a large parcel with significant room for expansion. A service road connects the site directly to the airport, without the need to use the highway, positioning Waymo for a seamless airport-to-destination corridor that could be operational within 12 to 18 months. The second depot, already operational in the Wynwood area near the Design District, is running what we estimate to be 20-plus vehicles with roughly 30-plus chargers situated next to a Florida Power & Light substation. The facility currently operates out of PODS with no covered garage, but vacant parcels on both sides and an adjacent warehouse present a clear path to scale. While we were there on the ground, FPL was on-site micro trenching, a potential signal that additional electrical capacity is being routed to the depot.Looking ahead, Waymo's ability to service a thousand vehicles between these two depots appears well within reach. The next frontier is the beaches, Surfside, North Beach, South Beach, where a third depot will likely be necessary to navigate Miami's notoriously heavy traffic. With Hard Rock Stadium hosting Dolphins games, F1, and the Super Bowl returning to Miami, the demand signal for robotaxis in this market is unmistakable.Episode Chapters0:00 Waymo's "Rat Pack" Ambitions in Miami1:00 The Airport Depot: Bypassing the Highway2:00 The Wynwood Depot: 35 Chargers & A Substation3:00 Miami Depots Compared to the Santa Monica Depot4:00 From PODS to Warehouses: The Expansion Plan5:00 The FPL Signal: Micro-Trenching 6:00 Expanding Depots to Surfside & South Beach7:00 The Super Bowl & Hard Rock Stadium Demand8:00 The Future Is Bright. Matt “Money” Smith and Lorenzo Neal break down the Chargers' offseason priorities, starting with the ongoing conversation about restructuring Justin Herbert's contract and how it could create valuable cap space without limiting roster flexibility. The guys dive into the economics of the NFL salary cap, explaining how teams like Kansas City and Philadelphia manipulate contracts to stay competitive. From there, the focus shifts to free agency — particularly the urgency of fixing the center position and stabilizing the interior offensive line. The hosts debate whether to pursue top-tier options like Tyler Linderbaum, retain Zion Johnson, or allocate resources elsewhere, while also discussing the futures of Khalil Mack, Tuli Tuipulotu, and other key defenders. With FanDuel listing the Chargers among the top AFC contenders, the message is clear: the Super Bowl window is open — but it hinges on smart financial decisions and solidifying the trenches. Matt “Money” Smith and Lorenzo Neal react to the Seahawks' Super Bowl win and use it as a blueprint for the Chargers' future. The biggest takeaway: games are still won in the trenches, and protecting the quarterback is everything. The guys detail the pounding Justin Herbert has taken over the past three seasons and argue the Chargers must prioritize rebuilding the interior offensive line and investing fully in their franchise QB. Their offseason message is clear — protect Herbert, build inside-out, and follow the physical, disciplined model that just won a Lombardi. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The guys discuss former Dolphins head coach Adam Gase landing an assistant job with the Chargers, where he'll join another former Dolphins coach, Mike McDaniel, in Los Angeles. That sparks a broader conversation about the biggest issues facing other leagues, including the NBA's overreliance on the three-point shot and the growing problem of star players not suiting up every night. They also point to MLB's financial imbalance, where big-market teams can outspend smaller clubs by a wide margin, creating a difficult path to competitiveness for teams with limited payrolls

The guys also give credit to the Marlins for fighting to stay competitive last season despite limited payroll flexibility. They pivot to the NFL, where Bad Bunny's halftime show broke records despite reported pushback from some owners, and talk about the Patriots taking heat for their Super Bowl loss while noting Drake Maye still had a strong season. The hour also includes news of Adam Gase joining Mike McDaniel with the Chargers and wraps with Hollywood's Headlines featuring Alix Earle/Tom Brady rumors, college sports eligibility chaos, and Jordon Hudson's headline-grabbing shirt at a UNC game.

The guys contrast that with the NFL's continued dominance, as the Super Bowl halftime show breaks viewership records and the league's ratings and revenue keep climbing no matter the controversy. They also touch on MLB's financial imbalance and how low-payroll teams like the Marlins face an uphill battle to compete. The hour includes news of Adam Gase joining Mike McDaniel with the Chargers and wraps with some lighthearted Valentine's Day talk as Joe and Hollywood debate how far you really have to go to get it right.
