Nurturing Baby Faith then Hatching Crazy Faith
This episode is very unscripted but I still hope God was able to speak through me.
Finding ways to be disciplined is so important in your walk with God. In this episode I share 5 different disciplines that are important and that I myself am working on.
Relationships are the primary means God established for learning about and preserving His commandments. However, these close relationships are often lacking in today's society. The best way to go about Mentorship is to SEEK it. If you want to be mentored, YOU should initiate the connection! Your leaders are a great place to start, but pray about it, whoever you have in mind or whoever the Holy Spirit is leading you to, YOU can begin that process by pulling that person aside and saying, 'Hey, I've seen that you love Jesus and live a life that honors Him. Can you show me how? And then honor their time!" Without guidance, people fall, but with many counselors there is deliverance -Proverbs 11:14
God is the same; yesterday, today, and forever. It can be easy to go about life forgetting God's resume but regardless of how we choose to see God in a moment, He is still God. The same God that brought you out of that situation will be there to bring you out of the next situation. He is God on the mountain top and in the valley. Be encouraged and don't lose sight of the Father's hand moving in your life.
This past weekend was intense. I found myself torn between priorities and failing to make time for God in the mix. Life can be busy, between spousal duties, parenting, working, and studying it can be hard to sit still let alone BE STILL. But the bible tells us to be still, and not only that but in our stillness then we will know that He is God. If you're struggling to be still then I have news for you, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
How do you go about finishing the task at hand? I have always struggled with completion. It is important for us to persevere through life. Start small and follow through.
Season 3 is here!! We are back after a long hiatus but God is doing amazing things. This episode is a catch-up on all the things that happened on my "maternity leave". I am officially a mom of two and a homeowner! WON'T HE DO IT *praise break* The website has also launched; hatchingfaith.com so that is also a great resource for all things Hatching Faith. I am glad to be back. Tune in every Thursday this season!
This year is finally coming to an end and with that being said it’s time to renew your mind and rejuvenate your heart to prepare for the new year. Without Faith it’s impossible to please God. These last 3 weeks we should all focus on renewing our faith and returning to our first love.
Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021. It may seem early to be discussing the new year but we are mere 9 weeks away or to make it sound sooner only 2 months away. Preparing for the new year shouldn’t start the day after Christmas. This episode gives tips on how to walk into the new year prepared for what God will be doing in your life.
We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.” Romans 6:6-7 NLT
The Bible tells us to cast our cares on God because He cares for us but sometimes we choose different avenues to deal with life’s issues. We all have something that we run to when life just starts becoming a little too much. We all have something we turn to when we want to escape our reality. Figuring out that thing -your vice- will help you get past it so that you can work on turning to God instead.
This year has been nothing short of unexpected but what has been expected is the mud slinging on both sides of the campaign trail. It’s election time! Whether you’re democrat, republican or you support the Green Party. When voting we should always seek out the wisdom of God. As Christians, we can’t vote with our feelings but we must be obedient when following the Holy Spirit.
Jesus showed us many examples of his love for children. As parents I think it’s very easy to push our children to excel in this earthly life but I think it’s time for us to look at our children the way God does. He died for them too and helping them discover who God called them to be rather than push them into what the world defines as success should be our priority. Never forget, your family is your first ministry.
COVID, Job loss, Propaganda, 2020 has had its up and downs. This transitional season of my life has reminded me that God has been working wonders on my behalf. I may not see it in the moment but He is always with me and has never failed me. God is not a dead beat dad. He provides for His children through and through.
God wants us to spend quality time with Him. Have you found that you’re missing His presence? Try making time for God and show Him what you’re willing to sacrifice to be with Him.
Sometimes we have a tendency to focus our prayers on ourselves and our own situations. I encourage you to expand your mind past your own situations and spend some time seeking God on behalf of others.
Sometimes we don’t have the Faith level we need to get through the day, week or month not to mention a year and thats okay. God is BIG! It’s okay to acknowledge where you are and move forward. Encourage yourself and believe in the God that made miracles happen in the Bible. He hasn’t forgotten you. He loves you and He’s here for you. It’s okay to not be okay but only for a little while.
Is your anxiety caused by pride? God opposes the proud and shows favor to the humble. Humility is understanding that God is bigger than your problems and that He’s the one in control. Humble yourself and let God lead.
Many of life’s struggles are more than what we see. There’s a war being waged against us as Christians and we must know how to fight and what to wear to battle. God gives us clear instructions on how to put on His armor.
We all get a little tired of being a good friend but the good news is that God is always ready to refill our empty cups.
Sometimes we don’t know what to do with our emotions. We can’t express them. We shouldn’t ignore them. We definitely don’t want to be feeling them but God has a way of helping us with all of that. Faith centered self care can put all things into perspective.
God has a purpose for us all but let us not get so consumed in what it is that we should be doing that we forget to live everyday on purpose.
God wants us to be obedient more that anything else. True Submission to God will lead to ultimate success.
Colossians 3:1-11 Sometimes we need a reminder of where our focus should be. Life comes and goes but heaven is eternal. Keep your focus on heaven.
