Who are you worried about? Most of us carry burdens for people we love, but what are we supposed to do with that worry? In Genesis 18:22-33, Abraham is deeply concerned about his nephew Lot. Instead of being consumed by anxiety, he brings his burden to God through intercessory prayer. In this message, Pastor Josh Miller shows us how to turn worry into prayer and why God is still looking for people who will stand in the gap for others. You'll discover: • Why intercession begins with intimacy with God • Why God is looking for intercessors • What it means to contend in prayer • How to pray with greater faith and persistence • Why your burdens may reveal what God is calling you to pray for The people you're most concerned about should become the people you pray for most passionately. Don't waste your worry. Let it drive you to God.

from Acts 1:1-14 Revival historian J. Edwin Orr observes, “no great spiritual awakening has begun anywhere in the world apart from united prayer—Christians persistently praying for revival.” Similarly, Matthew Henry suggested that when God wants to do something special in the world, he first gets his people to start praying. Have you ever been angry at God and didn't know if that was allowed? Have you sat in church smiling while internally asking why He felt so far away? Have you prayed the same prayer for years and still heard nothing — and quietly started to wonder if any of it was even working? This is Episode 4 of our mini-series — Things Christian Women Don't Say Out Loud — and we saved this one for last on purpose. Because this one is the deepest. And the most personal. In this episode, Tayler, Alora, and Mary go to the places most Christian podcasts won't. The doubt. The unanswered prayers. The seasons where God went completely silent and they didn't know what to do with that. The bitterness of watching someone else receive the miracle you prayed for. The anger they were afraid to admit even to themselves. This is the faith episode. And it is the most honest one yet.In this episode we talk about:Doubt as a doorway — not a dead endWhat to do when God feels completely silentPraying for your husband's safety every deployment and still living in fear every single dayThe prayers that felt unanswered and what that did to our faithBeing angry at God — and whether that's allowed (spoiler: it is)What faith actually looks like inside a military life full of uncertaintyHow to worship God through genuine bitternessComing out of the hardest season still standing — and still believingScripture anchor: Habakkuk 3:17-18 — "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines... yet I will rejoice in the Lord."Whether you are a lifelong woman of faith or you are somewhere in the middle of the hardest wrestling match of your spiritual life — you are safe here.Bring your questions. Bring your doubt. Bring the things you have never said out loud. Because we believe that is exactly where the real thriving begins.
Wherever He Went How often do you intentionally reach for Jesus during your day? In Episode 160 of 2 Minute Disciple, we reflect on Mark 6:53–56, a brief but powerful passage that reveals the hunger people had to be near Jesus. Wherever He went—villages, cities, and countryside—people ran to find Him. They carried the sick on mats. They spread the news. They gathered in marketplaces. And they begged for the chance to touch even the fringe of His robe. Their faith was simple but urgent. They believed that being near Jesus could change everything. What makes this passage especially meaningful for us today is that we have access to Jesus in a way those crowds never did. Through the Holy Spirit, Christ is not merely passing through our town—He dwells within His people. Yet many of us live as though He is distant. We wait for the perfect moment to pray. We assume spiritual connection requires ideal conditions. We postpone reaching for Him until later. But the people in Mark's Gospel didn't wait for convenience. They reached for Jesus wherever they were. This passage invites us to do the same. In this episode, you'll discover: • Why the crowds pursued Jesus with such urgency • What the fringe of Jesus' robe teaches us about faith • How familiarity can dull our awareness of Christ's presence • Why reaching for Jesus doesn't require perfect circumstances • A simple spiritual practice for connecting with Him throughout the day Scripture Mark 6:53–56 (NLT)

If you think you're bad at prayer, what if you've simply believed God is less welcoming than He really is? Jesus opened the door. The Father invites you in. The Holy Spirit is your prayer partner! "That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man... and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God." - Ephesians 3:16,19 NASB95 If you would like to partner in the work we are doing locally and globally, please visit https://myLOH.church/GIVE

From smartphones and dopamine-driven habits to packed schedules and mental exhaustion, we examine whether busyness has quietly become one of the greatest obstacles to prayer, reflection, and intimacy with God.Together, we discuss the challenge of silence, the example of Jesus withdrawing to pray, and why many believers struggle to spend even a few uninterrupted minutes with God. We also explore how technology can be a helpful tool without becoming a spiritual shortcut or distraction from genuine relationship with Christ.Clarity in chaos. How do we cultivate a healthy prayer life in a world full of phones, notifications, and constant distraction? In this masterclass, John Joseph shares practical ways to build rhythms of prayer, create intentional space with God, pray throughout the day, and resist the digital habits that compete for our attention. If we are not careful, technology will shape our minds, emotions, and priorities more than God's Word does. But through prayer, Scripture, and intentional habits, we can be formed more into the image of Christ.
Prayer is the breath of the soul targeting communion with the living God, it is the means we share our lives in heart to heart with Him! "for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household." - Ephesians 2:21-22 NASB1995 If you would like to partner in the work we are doing locally and globally, please visit https://myLOH.church/GIVE

Prayer can easily become routine, performative, or something we only turn to in emergencies. But Jesus taught prayer as a daily relationship with God—not a religious performance. In this sermon, you'll learn how prayer changes your heart, strengthens your faith, and keeps you spiritually grounded when life feels overwhelming. If you've struggled with consistency, distraction, doubt, or feeling distant from God, this message will help you build a stronger prayer life rooted in Scripture. In this sermon, Pastor Ryan Windauer of Impact Church teaches what Jesus meant when He said to pray in secret, seek God sincerely, and trust the Father daily. In this sermon, you'll learn: Why prayer is more than religious routine How to pray when you don't know what to say What Jesus taught about private prayer and authenticity Why daily dependence on God changes your mindset How unforgiveness and temptation affect your spiritual growth What it means to pray for God's will instead of your own Prayer is not about perfect words. It's about staying connected to God when life pulls you in every direction. The quiet moments no one sees are often where God does His deepest work. When your life is planted in prayer, your faith grows stronger even in difficult seasons.
Have you ever felt like you didn't know how to pray… or struggled to stay consistent in your relationship with God?In this Bestie Bible Study, Rosemary breaks down the simple but powerful prayer framework Jesus gave us and shares how it transformed her own conversations with God. From acknowledging God's holiness, to asking for provision, forgiveness, and protection, this episode is a reminder that prayer is not about performance — it's about intimacy. We're talking about: Why prayer should feel like a real conversation How to stop overcomplicating prayer The danger of knowing about God without intimacy with Him What “daily bread” really means How to pray honestly when you're tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed Why Jesus already modeled exactly how we should pray If you've ever felt distant from God, unsure what to say, or stuck in surface-level faith, this conversation will encourage you to draw near again.

Peace is something we all want, but it often feels just out of reach. In a world where peace is usually tied to circumstances, things going right, conflict staying away, life staying predictable, it doesn't take much for it to disappear. In this message from John 14, we're invited to consider a different kind of peace. Not a fragile peace built on control, but a lasting peace rooted in the presence of Jesus. Jesus tells his disciples, “My peace I give to you… not as the world gives.” This is a peace that holds steady even when life doesn't. It doesn't remove trouble, but it meets you in the middle of it. If you've been searching for peace in places that keep falling short, this message is an invitation to receive what Jesus is already offering, a peace that can't be produced, controlled, or taken away.

It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with your lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be grounded down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, making the world more human and more fraternal." (Pope John Paul II, World Youth Day, Rome, 2000) Scripture for Lectio: "Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer." In this episode, Jim Van Gelderen challenges the common mindset of “seeing is believing” by presenting a biblical reality: in the Christian life, believing is seeing. Drawing from Scripture and personal illustration, he explains how faith opens our eyes to the unseen spiritual realm—where our identity in Christ and fellowship with God are already real. This episode calls believers to stop waiting for visible proof and instead step into the reality God has already declared. Topics Discussed The contrast between “seeing is believing” and “believing is seeing” Living for the seen (temporal) vs. unseen (eternal) realm Thomas and the danger of requiring sight before faith Experiencing real fellowship with God in the unseen realm The meaning of being “in Christ” (Romans 6, Ephesians 1–2, 2 Corinthians 5) The biblical concept of “reckoning” as an act of faith Faith as spiritual eyesight How believing God's Word leads to real spiritual experience and victory Key Takeaways The unseen realm is not less real—it is more real and eternal. Faith is how we “see” spiritual truth and experience God's reality. Your identity in Christ is already true, whether you feel it or not. “Reckoning” is choosing to agree with God's Word regardless of emotions. Fellowship with God is a real, experiential relationship in the spiritual realm. Victory, joy, and transformation flow from believing what God has said.
