The sermon explores the true nature of faith by focusing on Hebrews chapter 11, specifically highlighting Enoch as the primary example of a life pleasing to God. It argues that the foundation of all biblical faith is not merely performing mighty deeds but maintaining a daily walk and fellowship with God. The speaker emphasizes that living by faith is a gradual, lifelong process of trusting God's timing and character rather than seeking immediate results or miraculous signs. By examining the patriarchs who walked with God, the message encourages believers to find confidence in their relationship with Christ instead of comparing themselves to others' achievements. Ultimately, the central theme asserts that faith is the essential means to please God and experience His salvation through humble dependence on Him.

Lesson 2 of 2: Without Faith it is Impossible to Please God [Hebrews 11:6]. Without faith for today we will also lack hope for the future. Without faith, hope is no more than wishful thinking...but when hope is grounded is a firm faith in God then there are NO limits to what we can see God do when we pray, when we believe AND when we walk out our faith in obedience to the Lord!
Today we explain a major kingdom shift following the seven days of praise and urge you to apply faith to prophetic words rather than relying on methods or patterns. We emphasize the need to fight the good fight, discern the Spirit, and be open to unique ways God moves. The episode encourages practical steps: start small in faith, avoid religious routines, expect mysterious seasons, and press into the new season of harvest and breakthrough with hope and worship.
The sermon emphasizes that faith is the essential and only means to please God and receive salvation, as human efforts are rendered worthless by sin. It argues that individuals cannot save themselves or earn God's favor through morality, but must rely entirely on the gift of faith provided through the preaching of the gospel. The message highlights the infinite value of the human soul, demonstrated by Christ's sacrificial death to pay the penalty for sin. By acting as ambassadors of reconciliation, believers proclaim the simple truth that trusting in Jesus Christ is sufficient for forgiveness and eternal life. The ultimate intent is to urge listeners to recognize their spiritual blindness and accept the free gift of salvation through faith alone.

Without Faith it is impossible to please God. Do you trust HIM? It's a question all of us must answer. Peter walked on water until doubt crept in. When we trust the Lord, walking on water is possible. Do you trust God?
Are we living a life defined by faith
In this sermon from John 3:9-15, Pastor Rockhill draws a sharp distinction between merely knowing about the truth and actually believing it. His central burden is that knowledge of Scripture, however vast, profits nothing apart from saving faith, and that such faith is impossible without the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. He illustrates this with the figure of Nicodemus, "the teacher of Israel," a learned and revered Pharisee who nonetheless could not grasp the necessity of the new birth. Pastor Rockhill shows how Jesus upends the Pharisaic framework, which presumed entrance into the kingdom of God through natural descent from Abraham and diligent law-keeping. Against this, Christ insists that no one can see or enter the kingdom unless born of the Spirit. Tracing the Old Testament witness of Ezekiel 36-37, Psalm 51, and Jeremiah 31, the sermon underscores that this transformation of a heart of stone into a heart of flesh is the sovereign gift of God, not the fruit of human works. The sermon presses on to the gospel itself, foreshadowed in the bronze serpent of Numbers 21. Just as the dying Israelites looked in faith and lived, so the Son of Man was lifted up on the cross that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Pastor Rockhill applies this pointedly to modern skeptics and so-called scholars who study Scripture yet reject it, warning that head knowledge without a regenerate heart leaves one perishing. He exhorts believers not to be content with knowing the truth, but by God's grace to believe it unto eternal life and to bear faithful witness to others.
Faith Without Blood, Blood Without Faith

Keith Rohrer | May 10 2026 Ask 20 people what they think God is looking for in them, and you'd probably hear at least 10 different answers. Things like faithful church attendance, not getting angry, staying married to your spouse, refusing to steal even small things, volunteering at church or places like The Factory Ministries. None of those things are bad—all good actually. But what He's really looking for is, “Do you have faith?” It's not just important, the Bible insists it's impossible to please God without it. During Jesus' ministry, He only saw “great faith” in two people. Neither was a disciple, neither was a Jew. On Sunday, we'll look at one of them and try to figure out what Jesus saw in her. And why was He originally so harsh with her?
Faith is not merely something we profess—it is something we live. It refuses the world, chooses Christ, and esteems eternal promises above present realities. It stands when circumstances oppose it, believes when evidence is absent, and obeys when the cost is high.If we were truly changed into what we “ought to be,” then faith must become more than a concept—it must become our way of life. For in the end, it is not those who heard, but those who believed, obeyed, and endured, who will receive the good report—and enter into the joy of their Lord.
Impossible to please God? You might reply, "But look at all my good works!" No! They do not please God. What is Faith? And how do you get it? Let's settle this by the Word of God.
On this episode of Day by Day, our journey through Romans, Dr. Clif emphasizes that having access to spiritual truth and scripture does not guarantee genuine faith, urging listeners to respond with trusting obedience rather than relying on mere exposure to God's word. Monday February 2, 2026IV Week After EpiphanyToday's readings contrast judgment, promise, and the call to true faith. In Genesis 19:1–29, we witness God's mercy in rescuing Lot even as Sodom faces destruction—a sobering reminder not to cling to what God is calling us to leave behind. Hebrews 11:1–12 defines faith as confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see, pointing to Abraham's trust in God's promises despite impossible odds. And in John 6:27–30, Jesus redirects the crowd from chasing temporary bread to pursuing the work that truly matters: believing in the One God has sent. This episode invites us to live by a faith that obeys without looking back, trusts God's promises beyond what we see, and seeks what is eternal over what is temporary.

The difference between inside and outside is more than just a word. It means standing outside of faith, beyond the will and direction of God for your lives. It's also the difference between being in His will and being outside of His will for our lives. Initially, we pictured someone outside a city wall or closed door, with the King inside ready to welcome. The good news is now that the door is open. You no longer have to stay outside; you can enter where God's presence, promises, and pleasure dwell through faith in Jesus. Where are you right now? Do you find yourself on the outside, or have you crossed the threshold through faith? Today, I want to encourage you to take that step. Enter in. The King is calling, and His arms are open wide. Step into His will, by faith, and find the abundant life that only He gives.

Today's Promise: Hebrews 11:6 The Christian life is a life of faith. The only way to please the Lord is to live by faith. Faith is trusting that God will do what He has said He would do. This verse gives us two truths on faith. First, faith begins with our belief that God exists. Second, you must believe that God is the rewarder of those who seek Him. Without faith, you stand alone, trusting in your strength and wisdom. When you live by faith, you walk in the favor and blessing of God, in fellowship with Him, and your life is pleasing to the Lord.

In anticipation of our upcoming series, we want to share with you our episode with Shulem Deen, originally released in June 2020. In this episode of the 18Forty Podcast, David discusses with special guest and former member of the Ultra-Orthodox community, Shulem Deen, the struggle and importance of balancing one's individual needs with those of the community.Though many of us are aware of the extreme disconnect that exists between the Ultra-Orthodox Jewish community and the secular world, the result of this unfortunate dynamic offers powerful insight. In particular, the intense and likely under-discussed experience of ex-Ultra-Orthodox community members (a group referred to by many as ‘Off The Derech' or OTD) raises important questions about the reality of this intercommunity conflict and life as a modern Jew. In what ways do the religious and secular worlds misunderstand each other? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Ultra-Orthodox and secular worlds in facilitating a positive life for their members? How can we as individuals combat the inescapable myopia of living within a social bubble? Tune in to join David and Shulem in seeking answers to these important questions.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/18forty-podcast--4344730/support.

The book of Amos makes some statements about the Chain of Causation, the Law of Causality. Can two walk together without agreeing where to go? Does a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey? Does a young lion growl in his den if he has caught nothing? Does a bird land in a snare where no bait has been set? Does a trap spring from the ground when it has nothing to catch? If a ram’s horn sounds in a city, do the people not tremble? If calamity comes to a city, has the LORD not caused it? Amos 3:3-6. Today Mr. Black will be joined by Kelsey Pritchard with the Women Speak Out PAC. Today they will be talking about the political contest for Wisconsin Supreme Court between Liberal pro abortionist, Susan Crawford and the conservative Pro Life candidate Brad Schimel. They will discuss the National importance of this local race. But in the bigger picture Mr. Black wants to listeners to understand the Butterfly effect; That any change, changes all things. That our choices create an environment that others who follow will be constrained by! Tune in for your HOUR OF POWER as Mr. Black and guest discuss, The Butterfly Effect- Sins of the Father. Inspiration, Education and Application!! If calamity comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it? Surely the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets. The lion has roared—who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken—who will not prophesy? - Amos 3:3-8 BSBWarrior; What a litany of statements. These are all CAUSE-and-EFFECT statements, natural laws- the WAY THINGS WORK: IF ‘A’ THEN ‘B’. If you put your hand into fire, you WILL GET BURNED. God has always forewarned us, He wants to make sure that people know that CHOICES have CONSEQUENCES and God wants none to perish. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Pet 3:9) God has a plan and He has YOUR PLAN. He promises us, HE HAS THIS, we just need to have FAITH. Faith has consequences, it allows us to be all that God has intended for us to be! “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”. (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10) Believing God’s WORD is called Faith! By Roy L Tower - The author of Hebrews writes, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him." Despite this plain statement, through the ages many have attempted to do so through mere religiosity. Cain is the Bible's first example of this.
