For the twelfth episode of my podcast I sat down with owner and stylist at Bescene Studios in Maryland, Linh Phan. Linh has made a huge name for himself in the hair styling and coloring industry and is arguably one of the biggest influencers in the game today! Mike has been building cars for many years and is known around the world for his award winning SEMA builds; most notably his 1992 Honda Prelude. Mike also MC’s and judges at car shows, freelances for print magazines, designs and builds cars for other people and was recently featured on Fast n Loud- a tv show where Richard Rawlings and Aaron Kaufman search for forgotten and derelict classic cars to restore. We talked about Hondas, the state of the car scene now vs back when he started out, car magazines, quality parts vs fake parts, SEMA, his relationship with Ryan Basseri aka Rywire, hard work, being on TV, car show tours, advice for the youth and much more! For the sixth episode of my podcast, I flew out to Southern California for the weekend of January 13th and during my stay I got the chance to sit down with LA based fashion photographer Marcus Hyde. I met Marcus a few years ago when he was living in Richmond, VA and was putting on East Coast Honda Meet. Four years ago Marcus decided to take a leap of faith and move out to a city he had never been to before; Los Angeles, California. Since the move his career in photography has sky rocketed. With shooting for artists like Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino, Snoop Dogg Towkio, and Pusha T and companies like Complex Magazine, Adidas and PLAYBOY, it was only right to talk to Marcus about how he has gotten to where he is today. We talk about him first getting into taking photos and his time in college, traveling the world, his new camera bag in collaboration with Private Label, Yeezys, cars, censorship, his photography workshops, the industry and much more! It has been very inspirational to see Marcus go from doing his own thing with cars to doing huge things with his art out in LA and all over the world.
