In this episode of The Science of Happiness, we follow illustrator Minnie Phan's journey of using this evidence-based practice to connect with herself, care for her mental health, and create from a place of resilience.How To Do This Practice:  Identify the issue: Choose one specific feeling, thought, or physical sensation that's bothering you, such as stress, sadness, or tension in your body. Rate the intensity: On a scale of 0 to 10 (with 10 being the most intense), rate how strongly you feel it right now. This will help you notice changes as you tap. Create your setup statement: Say a phrase that names your feeling and affirms self-acceptance, such as: "Even though I feel anxious, I fully and completely accept myself." Gently tap 5–7 times on each point: Side of hand, inner eyebrow above your nose, side of eye, under eye, under nose, chin, collarbone, under arm, and top of head. Repeat while tapping: As you tap each point, repeat a shortened reminder phrase (e.g., “I feel anxious” or “I accept myself”) while taking slow, steady breaths. Reassess and repeat if needed: Pause, take a breath, and rate your intensity again. Continue another round or two until you notice a shift toward more calm or ease. Thương hiệu thời trang cao cấp Phan Huy gần đây mang đến Paris một buổi trình diễn thời trang đầy sáng tạo và độc đáo, bên lề Tuần lễ thời trang Haute Couture Paris Thu Đông (07-10/07/2025) với những hương sắc của đồng quê, những hương vị dân gian, của nông thôn Việt Nam, nhưng không hề thiếu đi tính chất haute couture, tính cao cấp, về mặt kỹ thuật thủ công tinh xảo đến từng chi tiết. Các bộ trang phục của Phan Huy được giới mộ điệu thời trang ở Paris biết đến trong những năm vừa qua, nhưng đây là lần đầu tiên nhà thiết kế người Việt đến Paris để giới thiệu về bộ sưu tập với tựa đề « Trưa hè oi ả », được trình diễn tại Palais de Tokyo vào ngày 07/07 vừa qua. Những chất liệu sáng tạo đến từ bản sắc Á Đông, nhưng không bị gò bó bởi những hình ảnh truyền thống, mà hòa quyện, lan tỏa tính truyền thống, trong thế giới thời trang mang tính hiện đại, của tương lai. Nhân sự kiện này, RFI đã có dịp trao đổi với nhà thiết kế 26 tuổi về thời trang và hành trình đưa tên tuổi của anh đến các sự kiện quốc tế. RFI : Xin cảm ơn nhà thiết kế Phan Huy đã dành thời gian chia sẻ với RFI. Trước khi nói về bộ sưu tập mới nhất và về thương hiệu của mình, Huy có thể giới thiệu về cách mà mình đã đến với thời trang và sáng lập ra thương hiệu của riêng mình ? Phan Huy : Cũng giống như bao nhiêu bạn sinh viên hoặc những người bắt đầu vào ngành thời trang, tôi đã học Đại học kiến trúc thành phố Hồ Chí Minh chuyên ngành thiết kế thời trang và trong quá trình học thì cũng tích góp những kinh nghiệm về thực tế cũng như về học tập, và sau đó đã bắt đầu thực hiện bộ sưu tập tốt nghiệp của mình. Điều rất là may mắn cho tôi là bộ sưu tập tốt nghiệp được rất nhiều người chú ý và có thể dùng từ là hơi bùng nổ mạng xã hội ở Việt Nam và đó là một tiền đề rất tốt và tôi rất trân trọng, vì ngay từ khi bắt đầu, đã có rất là nhiều khách hàng đến với Huy và từ đó tôi sáng lập ra công ty thiết kế thời trang Phan Huy.  RFI : Sau gần 3 năm thành lập, triết lý sáng tạo thời trang của Phan Huy là gì ? Phan Huy : Khi tôi thực hiện các thiết kế của mình thì tôi luôn nghĩ đến một cái chữ, đó là Purism -  chủ nghĩa thuần khiết. Thuần khiết ở đây là thuần khiết trong ý tưởng, cũng như trong chất liệu, hay là thuần khiết về tất cả mọi mặt mà tôi muốn hướng đến.  Tôi cũng muốn những thiết kế của mình mang một cái cảm xúc rất là thuần khiết, với những hình ảnh thiết kế ra có thể khiến cho mọi người nhìn thấy và yêu thích nó, từ ý tưởng đến mặt thẩm mỹ trong mỗi thiết kế của mình.  Tôi luôn tin là thời trang cũng là một môn nghệ thuật và điều quan trọng nhất của một bộ môn nghệ thuật chính là truyền tải được một cái cảm xúc đến cho khán giả cũng như đến cho người mặc. Nói thật là tôi cũng đã rất nhiều lần cảm thấy xúc động khi nhìn thấy những thiết kế vì vẻ đẹp của nó. Cho nên tôi cũng muốn tạo ra những cái thiết kế như vậy để khi khách hàng của mình hoặc những khán giả của mình xem, họ nhìn thấy và họ cảm thấy có những cảm xúc rất là lớn trong lòng.  RFI : Sau 5 bộ sưu tập trước, hầu hết đều lấy cảm hứng về thiên nhiên, với những chất liệu quen thuộc đối với Việt Nam, thì về bộ sưu tập mới nhất của Phan Huy, khán giả tại Palais de Tokyo có thể thấy qua 36 bộ trang phục là những hình ảnh quen thuộc, từ những chiếc nón lá che mưa, từ những chiếc quạt lá dứa hay là từ lưới đánh cá hay những tờ lá chuối khô, tất cả những chất liệu đó đến từ nông thôn Việt Nam, từ những cái màu sắc của đồng quê Việt Nam. Bạn có thể chia sẻ thêm về những lựa chọn của mình ?   Phan Huy : Những bộ sưu tập khác của tôi đa số đều đều lấy cảm hứng từ Việt Nam, thì lần này tôi sẽ lấy những cảm hứng khiến nó hiện đại hơn. Bộ sưu tập tốt nghiệp của tôi, diễn tả một cảnh đồng quê và quay trở lại tuổi thơ. Khi chế tác bộ sưu tập đó, tôi nhận được những phản hồi rất là xúc động. Có những anh chị ở  nước ngoài nhắn là đã xa quê Việt Nam rất lâu, và khi nhìn bộ sưu tập của Huy, người ta thấy được tuổi thơ của họ và cảm thấy rất là nhớ Việt Nam, nhớ cảnh đồng quê và điều đó thôi thúc bản thân làm một bộ sưu tập tiếp theo có thể mang một cái ý tưởng tương tự như bộ sưu tập tốt nghiệp, ngoài cảnh hoàng hôn trên cảnh đồng. Đó là một hình ảnh Huy rất là yêu, là những buổi trưa hè, lúc nhỏ, mình ngủ dậy mình được ông bà mình đánh thức dậy và mình nằm trên võng đong đưa và mình cảm nhận mọi thứ xung quanh rất là chân thật, rất là dễ thương.  Từ hình ảnh nón lá, từ những vật dụng rất nhỏ trong gian bếp, trong sân vườn hay là trên cảnh đồng, Huy nghĩ đa số người Việt Nam đều có thể cảm nhận được một cách sâu sắc, vì đó là tuổi thơ của hầu hết của những người Việt Nam. Đó là ý tưởng để tôi làm ra bộ sưu tập và tôi cảm thấy rất hạnh phúc khi biết điều này có thể mang lại rất nhiều cảm xúc cho rất nhiều người tha hương, hoặc cho những người ngay trên chính Việt Nam nhưng muốn nhìn lại tuổi thơ.  RFI : Trong quá trình sáng tạo đấy, có chất liệu nào mà mình cảm thấy khó xử lý trong thiết kế nhưng mà vẫn quyết tâm khai thác không ?  Phan Huy : Trong bộ sưu tập lần này, tôi đã chọn những nước đi mạo hiểm hơn. Bên cạnh yếu tố về xử lý chất liệu là thế mạnh của thương hiệu, tôi muốn phát triển thêm về kỹ thuật may đo. Trên một trang phục, thường chúng ta sẽ cần rất là nhiều những đường ben, đường gập để tạo ra được một form dáng ôm sát vào cơ thể của người phụ nữ.  Nhưng tôi đã chọn cách là sẽ triệt hết tất cả những đường ben đó, và điều này yêu cầu một cái kỹ thuật cao hơn, vì mình phải dựng một cái form dáng rất là chắc chắn như là điêu khắc trong cơ thể người phụ nữ, sau đó đặt một tấm vải lụa hoặc những chất liệu rất mềm lên trên và người thợ phải vuốt thủ công rất là nhẹ nhàng và tạo hình nó để không có một đường ben hay là một đường cắt nào trên đó.  Đọc thêmSteven Đoàn : Nhà tạo mẫu đưa thời trang Việt đến thảm đỏ LHP Cannes RFI :  Phan Huy có thể chia sẻ với quý thính giả một kỹ thuật hay công nghệ nào mà Phan Huy sử dụng để tái hiện những chất liệu đấy ?   Phan Huy : Trong bộ sưu tập lần này, tôi cũng đã tạo nên một số chất liệu mới bằng cách thủ công. Ví dụ, có một thiết kế mà tôi đã dùng những cái hạt cườm để đan vào nhau giống như kỹ thuật đan lát của truyền thống của Việt Nam nhưng sử dụng nó một cách sáng tạo hơn, thời trang hơn, đó là mình dùng những hạt cườm và đan nó thành một chất liệu mới. Tôi đã dành gần 3 tháng để tạo ra được thiết kế đó.  RFI :  Khi lựa chọn là thiết kế không chỉ cho thị trường Việt Nam mà hướng đến cả thị trường quốc tế, thì trong các bộ trang phục của mình, Phan Huy có phải điều chỉnh bất cứ điều gì về hình dáng chất liệu hay cách kể chuyện về thời trang, ngôn ngữ kể chuyện thời trang của mình có gì phải thay đổi không ?  Phan Huy : Đối với thương hiệu Phan Huy, hiện tại khách hàng của Phan Huy đến từ rất nhiều nơi trên thế giới. Ví dụ như là Qatar, Dubai, Các Tiểu vương quốc Ả Rập Thống nhất hoặc các thị trường như Mỹ, New York, hay là châu Âu và cả châu Á như là Hồng Kông hoặc Singapore. Trong quá trình hành nghề và tiếp xúc với rất nhiều khách hàng đến từ mọi nơi, tất nhiên mỗi nước có những đặc trưng khác nhau mà mình cần phải linh động điều chỉnh cho phù hợp. Ví dụ như những nước đến từ Trung Đông thì họ sẽ cần sự kín đáo hơn.  Trong quá trình thực hiện, Huy sẽ cần thêm những vải lót, những chất liệu lót hoặc cách đính của mình nó sẽ phải che phủ như thế nào để họ có thể thoải mái khi mặc. Ví dụ như khách hàng ở New York, Mỹ hoặc Châu Âu thì thường họ rất thích những thiết kế có tính sáng tạo cao và họ chưa bao giờ được thấy, chưa bao giờ được thử ở các thiết kế, nhà thiết kế khác.  RFI : Vậy thì đối với thị trường ở Pháp và Paris nói riêng, đâu là những điểm mà Phan Huy chú ý đến ?  Phan Huy : Thật sự thị trường châu Âu là một thị trường khó tính, vì đây chính là một cái nôi của thời trang. Có rất nhiều nhà thiết kế đến từ khắp nơi, đến đây để trình diễn bộ sưu tập của họ. Cho nên tất nhiên, sự hoàn thiện về trang phục cũng như thiết kế phải luôn luôn song hành và sáng tạo, phải luôn luôn đảm bảo chất lượng tốt nhất. Do đó, khi thiết kế và trình diễn ở Paris, tôi luôn lo lắng cũng như là tập trung cố gắng. Ngoài ra, mình cần phải có tính sáng tạo và signature (tính riêng biệt) trong thiết kế, rất là đặc trưng để mọi người có thể nhận diện được thương hiệu giữa rất nhiều các thương hiệu đến đây để trình diễn.  Thứ hai là về mặt kỹ thuật và việc hoàn thiện các trang phục, tôi cũng luôn cố gắng để cho mọi thứ được đẹp nhất, chỉnh chu nhất và cũng luôn cố gắng học hỏi từ những nhà thiết kế có những cái đường cắt may rất là đẹp, hoặc là những cách tạo phong cách rất đẹp đến từ Pháp hay là đến từ mọi nơi trên thế giới.  RFI : Qua bộ sưu tập vừa rồi và qua cách tiếp cận thời trang của Phan Huy, bạn có đã từng đặt ra câu hỏi là làm sao mình có thể cân bằng giữa việc giữ gìn bản sắc văn hóa và để tạo ra những cái thiết kế mang tính quốc tế, nhưng vẫn phù hợp với xu hướng toàn cầu hay không ? Phan Huy : Khi mọi người nhìn vào trang phục của tôi thì có thể cảm nhận được tính truyền thống, nhưng nó không cũ mà có sự sáng tạo. Có một nhận định của một vị khách mà tôi cảm thấy rất là hay: “Khi nhìn vào các thiết kế của Huy thì cảm giác như là cái sự hòa hợp giữa hai phong cách và tính truyền thống của Việt Nam. Nó giống như là một người con gái đến từ tương lai và quay trở về quá khứ, quay trở về thời gian và có những tinh hoa của bản sắc Việt Nam để mang đến với tương lai và dùng những kỹ thuật của tương lai để tạo ra những trang phục”.  RFI : Trên chặng đường thời trang của Phan Huy, đâu là thách thức, là khó khăn lớn nhất mà bạn đã, đang và có thể là sẽ gặp phải ?  Phan Huy : Thực ra chặng đường đến với thời trang của tôi khá yên bình. Để nói về những khó khăn mà tôi đã gặp phải thì tôi nghĩ đây là những khó khăn chung mà nhà thiết kế nào cũng có thể sẽ phải đương đầu. Ví dụ như là yếu tố kinh doanh, tiếp cận khách hàng, có những khoảng thời gian, tôi cũng sẽ rất là loay hoay về việc kinh doanh của mình.  Mình phải cân bằng được làm sao để có nguồn thu cho thương hiệu thì mới có thể sáng tạo những bộ sưu tập tiếp theo. Hoặc là những khó khăn về lực lượng sản xuất của mình. Những người thợ lành nghề ở Việt Nam thì thật sự không phải là quá nhiều. Và cũng khó mà tìm được người làm việc hợp với bản thân tôi và công ty.  Nhưng tôi luôn tận hưởng cái khoảnh khắc của mình, tại vì mình cảm thấy còn quá trẻ. Mình cứ trải nghiệm thôi. Và mình đừng sợ sệt quá nhiều. Mình có thể sợ lúc mình 35 tuổi hoặc 40 tuổi hoặc là sau đó, tại vì đó là độ tuổi mà tôi nghĩ mình sẽ cần mọi thứ bình ổn hơn một chút. Nhưng tôi luôn trong một cái tâm thế là từ năm 20 tuổi đến năm 35 tuổi đó là lúc mà mình có thể sai rất là nhiều lần.  RFI :  Phan Huy là một nhà thiết kế rất là trẻ tuổi và nếu như mà bạn có thể gửi một lời nhắn đến các nhà thiết kế trẻ Việt Nam đang nuôi giấc mơ để đưa thiết kế Việt thiết kế của họ ra thế giới thì bạn sẽ truyền tải thông điệp gì ?  Phan Huy : Khi mà tôi bắt đầu với thời trang, mọi thứ rất là non nớt và rất là ngây thơ. Tôi cứ làm những gì mà mình cảm thấy thấy thích và cảm thấy yêu thôi. Tôi cũng sinh ra ở một vùng quê, không được tiếp xúc với thời trang, mọi thứ rất là đơn giản. Từng bước của tôi giống như là một cơ duyên mà ông Trời đã sắp đặt.  Có một điều mà tôi nghĩ khi muốn nhắn nhủ với tất cả các bạn đang trong hành trình của mình đó là chúng ta hãy cứ cố gắng hết sức và làm những gì mà chúng ta cảm thấy tốt nhất và yêu thích nó. Nếu đưa ra một cái lời khuyên lý trí hơn thì tôi nghĩ là khi mà chúng ta đang còn học thì chúng ta hãy nghĩ đến việc cân bằng giữa lý trí và cảm xúc.  Tại vì trong các thiết kế của tôi hay trong cái cách tôi làm nghề hoặc là giới thiệu một bộ sưu tập, tôi luôn coi trọng tính cân bằng. Đó là cân bằng giữa cái việc học thuật và cái tính thẩm mỹ mà đại chúng sẽ yêu thích. Ví dụ như trong ca hát cũng vậy, người ca sĩ phải cân bằng được kỹ thuật và cảm xúc. Khi đó mình sẽ đưa ra một tác phẩm tốt nhất. Tiếp theo là sự cân bằng trong tính thương mại cũng như cân bằng trong tính sáng tạo. Khi chúng ta luôn nghĩ đến việc làm cho mọi thứ hài hòa thì sẽ rất dễ tiếp cận cho giới chuyên môn cũng như cho khách hàng.
