Beyond the Gun – Creative Partnerships There's a distinct difference between being cast as an actor in a theatre production and working as a creative collaborator and developing your own work. This session examines how actors can step into producing and move into the developmental life of a project—contributing ideas, shaping the script, and influencing the work as it develops. Actors such as Ngoc Phan, Nicholas Brown, Julia Robertson, Amy Ingram, and Cameron Hurry have expanded their work into producing, writing and directing. This conversation explores how actors can evolve their practice, build a reputation for meaningful creative input, and become initiators and collaborators whose contributions extend beyond performance into the heart of the work itself. Amy is a multi-award-winning actor and theatre-maker based in Brisbane, later this year she will appear in the return season of Pride And Prejudice at QTC and the World Premiere of Suzie Miller's Strong Is The New Pretty touring Nationally. Ngọc is an award-winning actor, director and playwright. Her diverse theatre work includes Vietgone, Boy Swallows Universe and Good Grief (Queensland Theatre), Laurinda (MT), Love Stories (Brisbane Festival/QPAC), Horizon (Playlab Theatre), Medea (Shock Therapy Productions), We're All Gonna Die, Away, A Streetcar Named Desire and Stunt Double (The Farm). Julia Robertson is a multidisciplinary theatre maker, director and actor living and working on Gadigal land. She is the Artistic Director of the award-winning devising group Little Eggs Collective, a recipient of the Ensemble Theatre's Sandra Bates Award for Directing, and a Young Artists Program finalist with Opera Australia. Julia was recently nominated for Best Direction of a Musical at the Sydney Theatre Awards for The Producers (Hayes Theatre Co. / Riverside Parramatta). In 2026, Julia will direct the premiere production of STELLA, The Musical in Melbourne, as well as The Addams Family for Hayes Theatre Co. She will also work as Movement Director on 84 Charing Cross Road for the Ensemble Theatre, and as Assistant Director on Suzie Miller's new work Strong Is the New Pretty for Sydney Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre and Brisbane Festival. Nicholas Brown is a NIDA graduate who has forged an impressive international career across film, television and theatre as an actor, writer, singer, songwriter and leading man with major roles in Bollywood films, Australian drama and as a much-loved ABC Play School presenter. He plays a lead role in upcoming Alex Proyas science fiction musical film R.U.R. As a playwright, Nicholas won the prestigious Nick Enright Prize for Playwriting in the 2024 NSW Premier's Literary Awards for his play Sex Magick which was performed in the 2023 Griffin Theatre season. It was also nominated for a 2025 AWGIE and a 2024 Sydney Theatre Award. Cameron Hurry is a Brisbane based actor and writer. He completed his actor training at the University of Southern Queensland. Cameron's theatre credits include: Pride and Prejudice (Queensland Theatre Company), Unconditional (Playlab Theatre), Three Little Words (Ad Astra), Twelfth Night (4MBS Brisbane Shakespeare Festival), Dance Nation (THAT Production Company), Grand Horizons (PIP Theatre), Frankenstein (Fractal Theatre), Macbeth (JUTE Theatre), Picnic at Hanging Rock (Brisbane Arts Theatre), and Aladdin and the Mysterious Magical Lamp, Jane Eyre, Little Women, Shadowlands (Harvest Rain Theatre Company). His film and television credits include: Spit, Boy Swallows Universe, The Bureau of Magical Things, Young Rock, and Wanted. Cameron has received the Matilda Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role – Independent Production (Grand Horizons) and has a proud member of MEAA for 20 years.

Fr. Allan Phan grew up in a family with Buddhist roots, but they sent him to Catholic school in Nebraska, where he began to flourish, and develop spiritual connections with all kinds of elements of the Catholic life, including and especially with St. Francis of Assisi. Despite some objections from loved ones, he made the journey home to the Catholic Faith, and discerned a vocation to the priesthood, learning even more lessons about the life of faith through his experience of cancer and COVID-19. He is a priest of the diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska.

VOV1 - Trong nhiều năm, tình trạng “xài chùa” tác phẩm âm nhạc, điện ảnh trên không gian số từng diễn ra phổ biến. Thế nhưng, câu chuyện bản quyền giờ đây không còn chỉ là lời kêu cứu đơn lẻ của nghệ sỹ mà đã bước vào giai đoạn siết chặt quản lý, xử lý hình sự và hoàn thiện hành lang pháp lý:      Hơn hai thập kỷ hoạt động nghệ thuật, nhạc sỹ Nguyễn Văn Chung cho biết ông nhiều lần rơi vào tình trạng bị xâm phạm quyền tác giả dưới nhiều hình thức khác nhau. Theo nam nhạc sỹ, từ thời kỳ nhạc chuông, nhạc chờ bùng nổ, không ít cá nhân đã mạo danh tác giả để ký hợp đồng khai thác ca khúc nhằm thu lợi bất chính.   Không chỉ vậy, một số đơn vị, ekip còn sử dụng nhiều chiêu thức, ngang nhiên đánh cắp chất xám của các nghệ sỹ và hưởng lợi bất chính trên nền tảng số, nhạc sỹ Nguyễn Văn Chung cho biết: “Thậm chí những hãng đĩa cũng dùng những bản ghi mà các nhạc sỹ, ca sỹ ủy quyền khi họ phân phối phát hành để bán lại cho các đơn vị kinh doanh trái phép, thu lợi bất chính. Tôi còn phải đối mặt với tình trạng bị lén đăng ký trước content ID và bị đánh ngược lại kênh youtobe, kênh nhạc số của mình từ những đơn vị kinh doanh, việc này đã xảy ra với rất nhiều nhạc sỹ, ca sỹ. Chúng tôi cũng liên tục đối mặt với trường hợp, các đơn vị sử dụng sản phẩm âm nhạc để kinh doanh, sản xuất các chương trình ca nhạc mà không hỏi ý kiến nhạc sỹ, không trả tác quyền tương xứng. Điều này đã hình thành thói quen xài chùa, thói quen ăn cắp, dẫn đến thiệt hại to lớn đến các nhạc sỹ.”      Không riêng lĩnh vực âm nhạc, điện ảnh cũng là ngành chịu tổn thất nặng nề vì nạn vi phạm bản quyền trên môi trường số. Đạo diễn Nguyễn Hoàng Điệp cho biết việc phim bị khai thác trái phép trên các website không chính thống hay các nền tảng trực tuyến đã tồn tại nhiều năm và dần trở thành “nếp tiêu dùng quen thuộc”: “Bộ phim đầu tay của tôi đang bị leak trên các trang, rồi bộ phim ngắn thứ 2 của tôi cũng đang ở trên vô số các trang youtobe khác. Bộ phim đầu tiên tôi sản xuất cho đạo diễn Phan Đăng Di cũng đang bị leak từ rất lâu rồi, đương nhiên là khai thác và thu lợi trái phép trên các tác phẩm này. Vừa qua đã có những phản ứng rất mạnh mẽ của cơ quan chính quyền Nhà nước, các cơ quan quản lý và ngay lập tức được sự hưởng ứng của những người làm phim, không phải chỉ trong nước đâu mà quốc tế nữa.” Nhạc sỹ Nguyễn Văn Chung nhiều lần lên tiếng về việc xâm phạm quyền tác giả

Thư viện được bố trí tại Nhà Thiếu nhi của thành phố Thái Nguyên (cũ), do Trung tâm Dịch vụ tổng hợp phường quản lý; Trung tâm chăm sóc sức khỏe cộng đồng được đặt tại Trạm Y tế phường Hoàng Văn Thụ (cũ), do Trạm Y tế phường phụ trách chuyên môn.Thư viện và Trung tâm sinh hoạt cộng đồng xã Phủ Thông thu hút sự quan tâm của người dân

NAB 36 There was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived seven years with her husband after her marriage, 37 and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple, but worshiped night and day with fasting and prayer. 38 And coming forward at that very time, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem. Reflection on Scripture: The prophetess, Anna, dedicated her life to God. This scripture outlines her frequency in the temple as well as prayer and fasting. She was where God's presence was represented to be. As a result she was able to see the redemption of God and was able to share it. Catholics and Orthodox Christians hold Anna in reverence as a Saint. It is such an interesting micro story that is shared here. The woman is called a prophetess and it references her father as though we are supposed to know who he is. Or perhaps symbolically because his name means "Face of God" One fact that is hard to deny is that if we spend our time where godly things happen, we are more likely to encounter godly things. If we want to encounter God more in our life we should ponder on going to the places where His presence is represented for example church and making our home a sanctuary to the Lord. I sometimes reflect on the nature of this dedication. Obviously us as fallen and sinful humans don't get to decide where God goes based on what we dedicate to Him. God can choose to go anywhere God wants to go. With that said, when we dedicate places to God and set it apart, such as the Temple, we put ourselves in the kind of mind where we look for and see God more. Perhaps it is because he chooses to bless us with His presence to encourage us to do more of the things that He wants.  So the invitation stands for us to dedicate our homes as sanctuaries to God and treat them as such, not making habits of sins that would challenge that dedication. Also spending time with Godly music, and also spending time in community with others in church attendance and worship. Also making prayer and fasting a part of our process of building a relationship with the Lord.  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials.
