A fun post on IG had me thinking about what "Playing days" means and why it matters... or does it?

The Hobby is great- but every once in a while, you have to do some housekeeping. And when that's done- get back to building a PC that means something to you.

A couple of conversations about a card had me going from trying to buy a second copy- to actually selling mine. And let's talk about the soccer market for a second- what catalyst is there for the cards after the World Cup? Finally- lets talk auctions for a minute and the prep that goes in.

The two questions I get the most are really tied to the same thing- Is the guy I have a card of- going to be as collected in the future. Maybe he was a great player that is no longer talked about the same way- or a current player who may not live up to the hype...but it all comes down to the same question- Will people want this in the future?

In our hobby- we sometimes pick our card, our team or our player and make a bet. Today, I tell you about the bet I made on Fanatics and Mike Mahan and how it paid off.

The Knicks won the Championship- so Brunson's cards are up from when we spoke about them last week right? And with NBA over- what now?

Great DMs- and great conversations reminds me why this is the best hobby in the world...cup...

Ok- made you look.Maybe they won't lose.but maybe they will- It depends on who is writing the script

I won't tell you what you should do.But i will tell you what I am doing!

The best hobby in the world comes with risk. Pricing changes on a dime with active players- especially the ones playing for the highest stakes.

Are you a money maker? A Hater?A Nay-sayer? we have room for you all- but being honest about who you are in the hobby will help you in the long run.

Look at the prices for Wemby yesterday- and now look at them for today. Is this a crash- or an opportunity? And its not just about Wemby.

A fun back and forth I saw recently on IG stories...Active players vs goats. Should everyone just be selling all their young players and just buy Michael Jordan? What fun is that?

OK. You asked. Let's talk about what and when.Wembys prices are flying- but you want to know who and what is next.Look at the past- to see what the future might hold

Wemby- He is gonna win.Card Shows- Why do you all smell like weed?Pokemon is everywhereMay Set a new record!

Lets discuss some positives from a movie we have all seen before.

It is Human Nature to want to assume that a big 1/1 sale impacts the value of your card... but does it?

It is Human Nature to want to assume that a big 1/1 sale impacts the value of your card... but does it?

So many lessons- so little time! Its another show and I learned a lot.Let me share it with you!

Big sales might surprise you- but let me tell you why they did what they did.

I had a fun conversation today and it made me even more confident in the hobby

I shared my W with you and I couldn't be happier

Its just one win for Wemby.Lets talk about what that means

Barry Bonds cheatedWemby is the next goatThat's all...

Its the question I get the most.. well two questions.. Can this run continue and what am I buying? Lets touch on both today!

So a card similar to yours sold at auction recently... does that mean that your card also went up in value?and how do you feel about removing a bad auto grade from a slab before selling it?

If you think Lebron is the goat- think again? And no- it's not Jordan either? But who will be the next goat?

If you think Lebron is the goat- think again? And no- it's not Jordan either? But who will be the next goat?

Lebron and Ohtani were both doing their things last night- but as brilliant as they both were- their goat performances were simply not enough- as both lost.- How does that impact how you judge their performances? Does it?

Lets talk about the new releases this weekLets talk about Topps making Hoops! And lets talk about Fake Cards!

The Yankees Win! A tribute to consistency and doing it your own way.

New Volume record in April. Prices are up. But I am here to tell you that there are still bargains to be had out there.

The Question I get asked the most- Is this a bubble? Is this just like 2020 and we are going to crash? Might as well tell everyone my answer in a full episode. Enjoy!

Fanatics announced a big sale- Alt announced a big sale. There are big private deals- and fanatics keeps the hobby running strong. But the big news- Lebron about to make history!!

Lessons from a Card show- Lessons learned about the health of the hobby... and lessons learned about negotiating.

Its the NFL Draft- and di you notice that the cards were front and center?Lets talk about the risk to active playerslets talk NBA playoffslets talk big private sales!

Researching a card and deciding to buy it is a fun process- but be careful. The hobby is filled with Cliques, Naysayers and Echo Chambers that can cloud an objective decision with subjective bias. Enjoy!

Is the market hot? Yes! Can it go down? Sure. Can it also keep going up? Why not?

Auctions end- and I missed out on some. cards- but won some others!I have a question though- can you have too much of a good thing? Can you have too many cards of a single player?

Let's compare vaults- pricing, turn around times, customer service and talk about my experience with them. Stay for the story at the end!

Fanatics Premier Auction system is broken. No One knows when it will end- and they keep all lots open for what reason? Makes no sense.Oh yeah- and even if you can stay awake- good luck trying to win anyway.

My son and I tried out NFL Chrome and got exactly what we deserved. Nothing.

Every time I post a card - some "collector" comments or even DMs me about why the guy I posted is not good. Then dig a little deeper and find out why. The reason? Collectors are Miserable People!

I was shut out bad on the Goldin auctions - but back at it on Sunday!Also- Ohtani is doing Ohtani things!

Read the hobby fine print my friends... always read the fine print.I am old. I have been doing Hobby things for 5 decades and I still make mistakes... usually because I don't know the rules before playing the game. Educate yourself- before you buy.

The Topps Conference is over- and everyone is focusing on the shiny stuff- but lets dive deeper into how some of the announcements might impact how you collect.

Arizona takes center stage as Topps brings everyone in to talk about the hobby in 2026. Lets discuss day 1.

When the hyped rookie card sells for more than the best cards of the all time greats- do we have to start asking some questions about sustainability? Lets take a look at some other Big Rookie sales from the past and see how those turned out.
