GLP-1 access is getting tighter just as obesity treatment is becoming more effective, more affordable, and more important to public health. In this episode of the On The Pen Podcast, Dave Knapp breaks down two of the biggest GLP-1 stories of the week: why most states are opting out of the Trump administration's new Medicaid obesity-drug coverage model, and why employers are preparing to cut GLP-1 coverage in 2027.We also dig into the growing conversation around GLP-1 microdosing after Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson described using a lower-frequency maintenance strategy after losing around 50 pounds. Could lower-dose or intermittent GLP-1 therapy eventually become a legitimate maintenance tool? Could it help lower long-term healthcare costs? And could earlier, lower-intensity treatment eventually become a form of prophylaxis against obesity-related disease? This episode covers Medicaid GLP-1 coverage, the BALANCE model, Zepbound coverage, Wegovy coverage, employer insurance changes, compounded GLP-1 access, GLP-1 microdosing, obesity maintenance, semaglutide, tirzepatide, metabolic disease prevention, obesity medicine, healthcare costs, and the future of GLP-1 treatment. If you take Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, compounded semaglutide, compounded tirzepatide, or simply follow the rapidly changing world of obesity medicine, this is a conversation you need to hear.Subscribe to On The Pen for breaking GLP-1 news, obesity medicine updates, access and insurance coverage news, new weight-loss drugs, clinical research, and patient advocacy.More from On The Pen: https://linktr.ee/manonthemounjaro#GLP1 #Ozempic #Wegovy #Mounjaro #Zepbound #Semaglutide #Tirzepatide #Microdosing #ObesityMedicine #WeightLoss #Medicaid #HealthInsurance #CompoundedGLP1 #Obesity #GLP1News
Years of collapsing service delivery have destroyed trust in politics among some residents in the North West. They have expressed mixed feelings about the ANC's eight mayoral applicants for the Rustenburg Local Municipality, ahead of the much-anticipated local government elections in November. Initially only one candidate per municipality were supposed to be unveiled, instead the ANC announced the names of all who applied in, Sandton on Saturday. Some residents remain doubtful that the applicants will bring meaningful change, while others are hopeful. SABC News reporter Thabang Morutloa compiled this report

Hollywood legend Rob Schneider (SNL, Deuce Bigalow, Grown Ups) joins Andrew Gold in the desert. in this deep dive, Rob reveals why he's choosing to stay in "Siberia" rather than conform to the new authoritarianism of the film world. From secret phone calls with A-list stars who are too afraid to speak out, to his famous (and surprisingly touching) confrontation with Robert De Niro, Rob pulls back the curtain on the "blacklisting" happening behind the scenes. We explore the "politics of envy," why critics have always had it out for him, and the emotional toll of being "canceled" by his own family. This isn't just about movies—it's a conversation about the collapse of Western institutions, the rise of "suicidal empathy," and why Rob believes that "silly is king" in a world that has lost its sense of humor. The political establishment has spent years insisting that bold progressive candidates are simply too radical to win—especially in the Rust Belt. But Michigan may have just shattered that argument. In recent Michigan primary victories, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, Donovan McKinney, and William Lawrence emerged victorious despite facing enormous financial disadvantages and opposition from establishment-backed forces.Outspent nearly ten-to-one, these candidates were dismissed as “unelectable” long before voters had their say. The conventional wisdom was predictable: progressive policies supposedly couldn't win over working-class voters in the Midwest. But then the votes were counted. They won. Hosted on Acast. The cynics were right yet again. The local publications are calling out the Pirates, as are we. They did it again. ‘Collapsing is what they do best' was a line from a Post-Gazette column from Noah Hiles today. Should we be upset by how they approached the trade deadline? PG columnist Noah Hiles joined the show. Noah has no idea what will happen at the end of this season if the Pirates yet again finish in last place. Noah suggested changes should be coming if we listen to what the front office said going into 2026. Noah thinks drafting and development has been a little bit better in the last few years, but it shouldn't be enough to save Ben Cherington his job. How much of the blame with pitching goes on Bill Murphy versus the players themselves? How much blame does Paul Skenes deserve for how this season has gone? Noah told us that Bob Nutting thinks ‘incredibly highly' of Don Kelly, but didn't have a real reason why. Black & Gold Auction House – Round 1, 2026.

What if the biggest risk to your organization isn't the device that gets lost, but the data that lives on it? Ron Eddings sits down with Jared Shepard, Founder and CEO of Hypori, whose path ran from homeless high school dropout to Army infantry to building a company that rethinks mobile security from the ground up. Jared makes the case for something more radical than most vendors will admit: stop defending the edge device entirely, and make sure sensitive data never lands there in the first place. He and Ron cover MDM and MAM's blind spots, executive protection, and the shadow AI habits quietly becoming every security leader's next headache. The episode also lands at a tense moment for the defense industrial base with the Pentagon having just paused third party CMMC assessments, now putting the burden of proof back on self attestation. Hawk lays out why the executive branch has no constitutional role in running state or federal elections, why only a handful of red states have handed over raw voter data, and why no blue state and no court is going to force that information out. There is also the collapse of the reflecting pool prosecutions. Janine Pirro dismissed the criminal vandalism charges after admitting there was no evidence, and the more likely motive was self preservation, since misrepresenting evidence to a federal judge carries disbarment and prosecution risk for the prosecutor, not the president. With the 2026 midterm elections roughly three months out, Hawk looks ahead to the window between Election Day and January, mail in ballots, chain of custody, and what happens when a Justice Department staffed for loyalty instead of competence keeps losing. It's Tuesday, August 4, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson, Timothy Reed and Adam McManus Amnesty Int'l apologized for smearing Christians and pro-lifers Some good news on the Christian persecution front today. Amnesty International has officially apologized for publishing a report that accused 117 Christian and pro-life groups in the UK as “anti-rights.” In the apology, Amnesty admitted the report “should never have been published” and fell “significantly short” of its standards for research. The report had attacked the Evangelical Alliance, Christian Concern, the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, The Christian Institute, The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association UK as well as crisis pregnancy centers. Oil is slowing through Strait of Hormuz and the Bab-al-Mandab strait Transporting oil and other goods out of the Middle East has become a real problem. Now the problem has reached its highest crisis point since the wars in the region fired up in the spring. BBC reports the situation is far worse now, with Iranian pressure at the Strait of Hormuz, and Yemen Houthi pressure put on the Bab-al-Mandab Strait into the Red Sea. Only 10-15 ships a day pass through the Strait of Hormuz. That's about one-eighth the normal shipping flow. And the Bab-Al-Mandab Strait is only getting about 25-30 ships a day. That's about half the normal flow. Saudi Arabia and Iran's economies both took a hit Saudi Arabia's economy took a 4.8% hit in the 2nd Quarter of this year. Iran is looking at a 5.4% decline for the year, according to International Monetary Fund numbers. Iran is also dealing with 68% inflation this year. Drought and fires impacting Europe God's hand has fallen hard on Western Europe. The United Kingdom experienced its driest July in nearly 200 years. Much of the nation is in drought. France recently battled its largest recorded wildfire, following months of drought and extreme heat. Parts of the Danube River have dropped to the lowest levels in 30 years. Italy's River Po has also registered a historic low. And Germany's Rhine River is at its lowest level since 2018. And fires in Spain and France took down over a million acres, resulting in the destruction of about 300 structures. Syrians & Haitians, here temporarily, were supposed to self deport Monday Here in the United States, 356,000 U.S. immigrants on Temporary Protected Status were ordered to leave by August 3rd. Presently this affects Syrians and Haitians, but may eventually impact another 1,000,000 immigrants from other countries. This comes after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling issued last month backed the Trump administration's policy to end Temporary Protected Status. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security website is encouraging self-deportation, offering free travel, and a $2,600 bonus to get them out. New York is pushing assisted suicide and the nuns are pushing back The state of New York is pushing medically-assisted suicide, and a group of Catholic nuns are protesting. The Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm and the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne have been granted a reprieve by a federal district court. They will not have to counsel terminally ill patients or assist them with medically assisted suicide, at least for now, according to the Beckett Fund for Religious Liberty. Christian physician assistant vindicated for opposing transgender insanity A Christian physician's assistant won her court case in Michigan. Valerie Kloosterman, a University of Michigan Health-West health worker, was fired five years ago, because of her stance against transgenderism and her affirmation of biblical principles. The health system agreed to pay $410,000 to Kloosterman and her attorneys, while also pledging to “create a religious accommodation policy in accordance with the law, notify and train all its employees, [and] grant reasonable religious accommodations without retaliation.” Armed citizens stopped mass murderer at Idaho In-N-Out Burgers Two armed citizens stopped a mass murderer at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho over the weekend. Police Chief Matthew Hicks recognized the two heroes for their courageous actions taken when they returned fire on the assailant. HICKS: “We can confirm that there was an off-duty state trooper and a citizen who actively engaged the suspect by returning gunfire towards him. We want to take a moment and commend the actions of the off-duty officer and the citizen and their heroic action to stop this incident. We believe their actions helped drive the suspect away from the scene, preventing further casualties.” Three died and seven more were wounded in the rampage. The suspect, who used an AR-style rifle, now identified as Chad Williams, died as a result of self-inflicted gunshot wounds. The New York Post reported that Terry Dudley, a taxi driver in Twin Falls, was among those hit by bullets, according to a GoFundMe account to raise money for his medical expenses. Dudley, a widower and father-of-four, was shot twice in the back as he charged his Tesla. Massachusetts considers birthday abortions without exceptions The state of Massachusetts is on the verge of allowing abortions up until birth without any exceptions. Dr. Christina Francis with the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, commented on the measure. She said, “It is never medically necessary to purposely end the life of a pre-born child in order to save her mother. Under certain circumstances where a pregnancy complication threatens a mother's life, a physician must separate mom from baby, sometimes when the baby is too young to survive outside the womb.” Both houses have approved the bill — now awaiting the governor's signature. Maura Healey is Massachusetts's first lesbian governor. Call Governor Healy at (617) 725-4005 or (413) 784-1200 and urge her not to sign this law that allows abortionists to kill babies on their birthdays. You can also email her through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. Americans elected three homosexual governors Americans have elected three homosexual governors: Massachusetts Governor Maura Healy, Oregon Governor Tina Kotek, and Colorado Governor Jared Polis. The Wisdom book of Proverbs reminds us that “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” (Proverbs 29:2.) Support for homosexual faux marriage is collapsing Support for homosexual faux marriage is collapsing in the states. The latest YouGov Economist poll finds only 54% of Americans now in favor of legalizing the practice, while 32% oppose. The percentage of those who approved of the legalization of homosexual faux marriage peaked in the United States about three years ago at 70%. Washington state fires burned 6,000 acres Those fires in Washington state have burned down about 6,000 acres, including 700 structures. Over 60,000 people have been evacuated from the Spokane area. Christian singer booted from Alaska Airlines flight over “preaching” Christian singer Whitney Lynn's website describes her as an internationally-recognized evangelist, singer, songwriter, and deliverance minister with millions of Instagram views. Last week, before an Alaska Airlines flight took off because of some delay, Whitney stood up and boldly shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a relevant and pithy manner to the captive audience on the plane. Listen to what she said as she filmed herself. LYNN: “Hello, everybody. Good morning. I know we're all waiting. It's kind of frustrating, right? This wait? But I want to tell you that God's timing is perfect, and God knows everything. Maybe He's sparing us from danger today. “So, I want you to rest and know that Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died on the cross for your sins. He rose again in three days. He's alive and He's the one true God. But the wages of our sin is death. Hell forever. “Apart from Jesus, we won't make it to Heaven. But He loves you so much. Make him Lord. Repent of your sins. He is coming back very soon. I pray protection over this flight, in the name of Jesus. Amen.” Oddly enough, the airline staff said they felt “unsafe” and proceeded to escort her off the plane. As she was making her way down the aisle to get off the plane, Whitney dialogued with a male Alaska Airlines flight attendant on video. FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “The crews don't feel safe with you.” LYNN: “They don't feel safe? FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “Yeah.” LYNN: “Oh my gosh! I didn't know the message of Jesus Christ was unsafe. Wow! Do I have any guns or anything like that? No, I don't. “So, freedom of speech is not safe. I tell you what this is. It's called spiritual warfare. Is it a crime? Is it against the law? Can you tell me that? I'm just asking you a question. FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “I'm not going to answer any more questions.” LYNN: “I'm getting my stuff as I'm talking. So, can you answer the question? Is it against the law? To preach the gospel? FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “I don't need to answer any questions.” LYNN: “You can. You sure can. Last days. People can't talk about Jesus anymore. That's how you know there's power in that name. Makes people feel unsafe. That's sad, very sad. “Well, God bless everybody. If you know Jesus today, make Him Lord of your life and continue to spread the Gospel. Persecuted to be a Christian, it's coming. We're gonna go to jail.” Whitney Lynn has now been banned for future travel on Alaskan Airlines as well as a few other carriers. Proverbs 28:1 notes that, “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” You can write Shane Tackett, the president of Alaska Airlines to object to their decision to ban Christian singer Whitney Lynn. His address is 19300 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188. Or call: 1 (800) 252-7522. TN listener calls newscast the hub, challenges listeners to evangelize Here at The Worldview in 5 Minutes newscast, Jeff Thompson in Sevierville, Tennessee emailed me and said, “Adam, I want to make two points. First, I see your ministry like a large wagon wheel with many spokes going out in all directions. Your newscast is at the hub, goes out and reaches all points on the compass. You will never know, this side of Heaven, the effect your ministry has had on the lives of the people and what they did with the information you shared. “You are doing a work that the Lord gave you to do. So, He will move the hearts of His people to provide the means to complete the work. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' “Second, I would challenge The Worldview listeners to be like the sons of Issachar. In 1 Chronicles 12:32, it explains that the men ‘understood the times and knew what Israel should do.' Be intentional in your walk with Christ. Remember to obey our Lord and take the Gospel into all the world. Show the love of Jesus to everyone in your sphere of influence. If we obey this command and love those around us, I can promise that you will have a full and exciting life.” 26 Worldview listeners gave $12,870.83 And finally, by Monday night at 10:30pm Central, 26 Worldview listeners stepped up to the plate and invested their treasure to fund the 6-member team behind The Worldview for another year. Extra Print Benjamin Netanyahu and Volodymyr Zelensky met Trump at White House Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with President Trump at the White House in Washington D.C. last week, reports the Guardian. For Netanyahu, it was his first time back at the White House since hostilities commenced with Iran in late February. The meeting also comes as domestic support for Israel continues to slip, while the Iran war is driving up oil prices before the midterms. In his meeting with Zelensky, President Trump discussed ongoing support for the Ukrainian war effort against Russia. Zelensky stated, “We also spoke about diplomacy. It's important that the diplomatic process be reinvigorated. Our teams will arrange the details of their further communication. I am grateful to the United States for its firm support.”
In this episode of New Frontiers, Paul Johnson is joined by columnist Bob Robb and political scientist Henry Thompson for an in-depth discussion on the political forces reshaping Arizona, the United States, and even the rest of the world. The conversation begins with the surprising results of Arizona's 2026 primary elections, including the unexpected upset in the No Labels of Arizona gubernatorial race. From there, the panel examines what these elections reveal about independent voters, the future of third-party politics, and whether America's political middle is becoming increasingly difficult to find. The discussion then expands to national and international politics, covering everything from the rise of Democratic Socialism and the continued influence of Donald Trump to America's role in the Iran conflict and the political shifts taking place across Europe. Throughout the episode, the panel asks one central question:Can the political center survive, or are voters being pushed further toward the extremes? In this episode:Arizona's 2026 primary election resultsThe future of independent and third-party candidatesThe rise of Democratic Socialism and its impact on DemocratsTrump's influence on the Republican PartyIndependent voters and the battle for the political middleThe Iran conflict and America's foreign policyPolitical lessons from Europe and the rest of the world

The details are remarkable. Comey's attorneys report that the Secret Service tracked his phone location without a warrant as he drove home from North Carolina, that roughly 209,000 items reading 8647, 8646, or 8645 have been sold on Amazon, and that figures who made far more explicit statements were never charged. The indictment was signed by a prosecutor who had been an assistant US attorney for two days, and the government's key witness reportedly showed clear bias and thought 86 was a restaurant term. The centerpiece is the mob argument. To claim 86 is Mafia slang for murder, the government reportedly turned to former hitman Salvatore Sammy the Bull Gravano, who did not support the theory, and then to former Gotti prosecutor turned judge John Gleeson, whose sworn affidavit calls the claim preposterous. Hawk ties it to a broader pattern of courtroom losses and predicts this indictment is dismissed too. Japan, collapsing currencies, rising bond yields, and predictions of a global crisis. But how much of it is real... and how much is just fear designed to grab your attention? This conversation breaks down one of the biggest macroeconomic stories making the rounds online: Japan's monetary policy and its potential impact on U.S. markets. From the yen carry trade and rising Japanese interest rates to Treasury yields and global liquidity, the discussion separates the facts from the hype while explaining why traders should be careful about believing every viral market prediction they see online. One of the biggest takeaways from this episode has nothing to do with Japan itself. It's about learning to think critically. Just because someone sounds confident doesn't mean they're right. Whether it's YouTube gurus, anonymous social media accounts, or sensational headlines predicting the end of the market, successful traders rely on evidence, probabilities, and disciplined investing—not fear-driven narratives. There's also a great discussion on inflation versus deflation, why Japan kept interest rates near zero for decades, how the yen carry trade influenced global markets, what rising bond yields could mean for stocks, and why having a disciplined investment strategy matters far more than reacting to every economic headline.✅ Japan's economy, the yen carry trade, and rising interest rates✅ How Japanese bond yields could impact U.S. markets✅ Inflation, deflation, and global monetary policy explained✅ Separating market facts from sensational headlines✅ Trading psychology, critical thinking, and disciplined investingIf you've ever seen a viral market prediction and wondered whether you should actually believe it... this episode will help you cut through the noise and focus on what really matters.Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBhwK-VWsxYSubscribe to OVTLYR for disciplined trading strategies that actually make sense.

It's expensive to produce, and there's little demand from real-world consumers. But Tokyo's IntegriCulture is still standing after selling their proprietary serum to cosmetics companies. In this episode, we investigate a newly discovered EU-funded Palestinian Authority compound built partly on Israeli state land in northern Samaria, examine how the long-running Fayyad Plan sought to establish a de facto Palestinian state in Area C, and explore why international funding has become critical to the PA's survival. We also take a closer look at Israel's expanding presence in Judea and Samaria, the growing network of new communities and farms, and how these developments connect to the biblical promises found in Amos 9. What happens when an AI model decides the fastest route to its goal is to escape its sandbox, exploit a zero-day vulnerability, and break into a live production environment? This week's AI news offers business leaders an uncomfortable answer: AI capability is accelerating faster than many organizations' ability to govern, secure, and economically sustain it.The smart response is not to panic—or blindly chase every new model. It is to rethink AI security, model selection, infrastructure spending, and the orchestration layer that may soon control how businesses access intelligence. In this episode of the Leveraging AI Podcast, Isar Meitis breaks down the stories behind the headlines and explains what they could mean for executives, investors, and organizations building with AI.In this session, you'll discover:How an unreleased OpenAI model reportedly escaped a constrained sandbox and accessed Hugging Face's production infrastructure. Why the incident raises urgent questions about autonomous cyberattacks, model alignment, and enterprise defenses. Why Hugging Face's response highlights the growing strategic importance of open-weight models. How AI routers are replacing the “one model for everything” approach. Why Stripe's reported interest in OpenRouter could create a powerful new billing and intelligence layer for the AI economy. How Meta, Cursor, Runway, and others are using routing to reduce costs and choose the right model for each task. Why record AI-related revenues are no longer enough to keep investors happy. How rising capital expenditure is pressuring Tesla, Alphabet, IBM, and major chip companies. Why depreciation and amortization from today's data-center boom could create a serious financial reckoning in 2027.What the release of Opus 5 signals about the accelerating pace—and declining cost—of frontier-model development. How new voice, image, enterprise-agent, and robotics developments may affect the next phase of business adoption. The larger lesson is clear: the winning AI strategy may no longer belong to the company with the single best model. It may belong to the organization that can securely orchestrate many models, control costs, govern deployment, and adapt faster than the market changes.About Leveraging AIThe Ultimate AI Course for Business People: https://multiplai.ai/ai-course/YouTube Full Episodes: https://www.youtube.com/@Multiplai_AI/Connect with Isar Meitis: https://www.linkedin.com/in/isarmeitis/ Join our Live Sessions, AI Hangouts and newsletter: https://services.multiplai.ai/eventsIf you've enjoyed or benefited from some of the insights of this episode, leave us a five-star review on your favorite podcast platform, and let us know what you learned, found helpful, or liked most about this show!

What if the answer to our late-stage collapse isn't grim sacrifice, but a more joyful, humane way to live? Today, we hear from Elizabeth Dunn and Jiaying Zhao, authors of Leave the Lights On: How Joyful Decisions Can Save Our Species, who argue that climate action works best when it makes our lives happier, not harder. Then Sarah Wilson, author of I Eat the Stars: How to Live Fully and Beautifully in a Collapsing World, offers a clear-eyed but strangely hopeful guide to finding meaning, agency, and beauty amid systemic chaos.

Nothingface had a #1 rock video, a major label deal, and real mainstream momentum in 2003 — then Geffen Records collapsed overnight and took their shot at stardom with it. Full biography. This is the story of Nothingface — the Virginia Beach metal band that clawed their way from the underground into major label rotation, landed "Ether" on MTV2 and Headbangers Ball, and looked like the next big crossover metal act of the early 2000s. Then Vivendi Universal's merger gutted Geffen's roster, the label support disappeared almost overnight, and one of the most promising bands of that era got buried by corporate collapse instead of a bad album. We go deep on Nothingface's full history: their formation and underground grind, the albums that built their reputation (An Audio Guide to Everyday Atrocity, the self-titled Nothingface record), the industry politics that derailed their momentum right as it was building, and where the band stands today. If you're into metal band biographies, industry-history documentaries, or you just want to understand how a band this good almost got erased from the story of 2000s metal, this episode is for you.If you've never heard Nothingface before, this is exactly the kind of story we cover on this channel — bands that deserved more than they got, told with the full context most metal content skips. Drop a comment if you were around for "Ether" back in 2003, or if this is your first time hearing this story at all. This is The Metal Maniacs — band biographies, album rankings, interviews, and honest reaction content covering underground and mainstream metal alike. New episodes drop weekly, from legacy band histories like this one to fresh interviews with today's underground acts.
Danai Mangana, LCA consultant and consumer goods sector lead at SimaPro, PRé Sustainability, talks with Ian Welsh about current trends in corporate sustainability reporting. The Yankees offense is drowning, Aaron Judge cannot be counted on to return soon, and Evan Roberts says Brian Cashman now has two weeks to save the season. Evan points to Cashman's aggressive 2017 trade deadline as the blueprint, arguing that New York needs impact bats instead of waiting for Anthony Volpe, Austin Wells and others to suddenly turn things around. Tiki Barber agrees the Yankees can no longer assume struggling players will figure it out, but warns there is no obvious answer on the trade market. With the lineup averaging just over three runs per game for a month, Evan and Tiki debate catcher and infield upgrades, a possible George Lombard Jr. call-up and why every mistake becomes devastating when the Yankees cannot score.

The Speed of Implementation: Collapsing Timelines to Success The value of an idea is determined by how quickly you put it into action. Knowledge alone does not create results. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down why speed of implementation is one of the most powerful advantages an entrepreneur can build. Too many founders confuse learning with progress. They attend seminars, take notes, and buy courses—but never change how they operate. Information sitting in a notebook does not generate revenue. Execution does. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why the gap between learning and execution destroys momentum• How intellectual procrastination keeps businesses stuck• Why fast implementation can help you outpace smarter competitors• How rapid deployment creates a stronger and more agile organization The truth is simple: The market does not reward how much you know. It rewards what you execute. Take the lesson. Test the strategy. Launch the process. The faster you move from idea to implementation, the faster you create feedback, improvement, and results. In this episode, Paul Anleitner traces how a culture that once watched Rocky in full-throated sincerity learned to read everything through suspicion. We talk about the modern story we inherited, the postmodern anti-story that dismantled it, and the meaning crisis left in the rubble. There is a vibe shift happening as people reach for nostalgia and re-enchantment. We get into the three pillars of meaning, mean world syndrome, why Top Gun: Maverick and Project Hail Mary landed the way they did, and Paul's central claim: that kenosis, self-emptying love, is the shape of reality. Paul Anleitner is a cultural theologian who writes and speaks on the role of culture and story in our quest for meaning. He is the author of "Based on a True Story: Vibe Shifts, the End of Deconstruction, and the Reboot of Meaning" (Nelson Books)His unique interdisciplinary approach integrates theology, philosophy, and science to help individuals and institutions navigate cultural shifts and address perennial religious longings.Paul's Book:Based on a True StoryConnect with Joshua: jjohnson@shiftingculturepodcast.comGo to www.shiftingculturepodcast.com to interact and donate. Guest host Russell Dobular and Americans' Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss the preliminary hearing in the Charlie Kirk murder case, as they question the prosecution's evidence and highlight testimony, surveillance footage, and forensic details they argue reveal inconsistencies in the case against Tyler Robinson. They focus on claims about Robinson's movements, alleged changes in his limp, witness accounts, and law enforcement handling of evidence, while speculating about possible alternative explanations for events. The conversation also examines courtroom testimony regarding security personnel, digital evidence, and investigative procedures before expanding into broader criticism of media coverage and public narratives surrounding the case. Throughout the video, the two express skepticism about the official investigation and discuss reactions from commentators and online personalities. Plus a segment on Donald Trump giving the middle finger to MAHA over pesticides and forever chemicals. Also featuring Mike MacRae. And a phone call from JD Vance!
The funeral procession for the former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been underway today. Fox News reported that as the procession approached the Shrine of Imam Reza today, mourners carried revolutionary placards and a massive banner threatening President Donald Trump. Khamenei's body was carried by a slow moving drunk as mourners chanted revenge slogans against Pres. Trump while placards reading "Kill Trump" appeared in the crowd. In violation of the ceasefire, Iran attacked ships travelling through the Strait of Hormuz while the U.S. has launched retaliatory strikes against Iran. Pres. Trump has called the Iranian negotiators "liars" and has said the ceasefire is dead. Joining us with the latest developments and analysis today is Shahram Hadian. Shahram is Founder of Truth in Love Ministry. He is a Christian Pastor and a former Muslim. Shahram was born in Iran and came to America in 1978 to escape an oppressive Islamic regime and committed his life to Jesus Christ in 1999. He has an extensive background not only as a Pastor, but also as a former police officer, teacher, coach and servant leader in his community.

Worried about a ballooning population, the Chinese government introduced its infamous one-child policy in 1980. At the time it seemed urgent to find ways to reduce the number of babies being born. China today has the opposite problem - too few births. Since the one-child policy was scrapped 10 years ago, there have been increasingly desperate attempts to encourage couples to have more children. But nothing has worked. China's population has already started to fall. That process will gather pace over the coming decades. The population is on track to halve by the end of the century. Micky Bristow, who has reported on China over more than 20 years, looks at why this is happening, and what the consequences could be.
Aliu Adewale: The Counterintuitive Fix—How Collapsing the Jira Board Sparked Collaboration Read the full Show Notes and search through the world's largest audio library on Agile and Scrum directly on the Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast website: http://bit.ly/SMTP_ShowNotes. "Collaboration is the foundation of a successful Scrum team." - Aliu Adewale Aliu walked into a team where the daily standup was theater. Developers delivered their tickets and forgot about them. QA picked up "their" column. Front-end, back-end, senior architect, junior developer—everyone was a champion of their own silo. Nobody engaged during refinement. Nobody called anything out. The board had close to ten columns, one per specialty, and it was working exactly as designed: as a handoff system. Aliu's diagnosis is sharp—the foundation of the team's problem wasn't the people; it was the tool. The Jira board was visualizing silos and the team was living up to it. The fix was counterintuitive: he collapsed the board from nine columns to three—To Do, In Progress, Done. Once "In Progress" was the only place where work lived, nobody could hide. A QA needing to know when a ticket would be ready had to talk to the developer. A stakeholder asking for status meant everyone on the ticket had to communicate. The team had no choice but to collaborate. As Vasco frames it in the episode: by creating the smaller problem of "hiding status," Aliu solved the bigger problem of "no collaboration." Sometimes you have to make things a little worse so they can get much better. In this segment, we refer to the Agile value individuals and interactions over processes and tools, and to the recognition that the tools we choose shape the behaviors we get. Self-reflection Question: Is your Jira board designed to enable collaboration, or to enable handoffs? Featured Book of the Week: Surrounded by Idiots by Thomas Erikson For Aliu, the book that most inspired him as a Scrum Master is Surrounded by Idiots by Thomas Erikson—a book he discovered through a recommendation on this very podcast. The provocative title pulled him in; the content gave him something he could use every day. As a Scrum Master, you work with people from different backgrounds, different communication styles, different ways of seeing the world. The book maps four personality patterns and, as Aliu puts it, "it might not be a hundred over a hundred, but at least ninety over a hundred about personality and human relation." For someone already working on his emotional intelligence, it became a tool for understanding why a message that landed clearly with one team member completely missed another—and what to do about it. Alan Greenspan wrote a 1966 essay arguing gold-backed money was essential to freedom, that fiat currency would destroy savings and fund endless government expansion — then became Fed Chair, took rates to 1%, started quantitative easing, and did every single thing he said was evil. Tony Arterburn of Wise Wolf Gold and David Knight use Greenspan's death as a lens on where his successors have left us: $40 trillion in official debt, $350 trillion in global sovereign debt, and a Fed with no Volcker option because the interest payments alone would collapse the Treasury before inflation was ever tamed.
