The Minnesota Twins are not for sale after all. The Pohlad family announced Wednesday they will keep their majority ownership of the team. The Pohlads have been searching for months for a buyer after revealing their plans to sell last October. The family has owned the team since 1984. Twins Executive Chair Joe Pohlad spoke for the family in a written statement issued Wednesday morning. Common folks need not apply, since MAGA, Inc. (Trump's political fundraising sack) charges a million bucks or more just to buy access to his golden throne.Once there, everything is for sale. One cryptocurrency huckster, for example, delivered his million to get into a candlelight dinner at Mar-a-Lago, where he pitched a business deal to Trump himself. Then, for an extra $200,000, the crypto-guy was allowed to “sponsor” the annual Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn. Yes – they've even financialized and corporatized an apolitical, publicly-funded event for children!Not only is Trump being bought by Big Money, but he's also available for short-term lease. For example, rich businesswoman Elizabeth Fago leased him in April for some heavy lifting on a household chore. Her son Paul had been found guilty last year of tax crimes and was headed to prison. But a million dollar check to MAGA Inc. put her in direct touch with Mister Fix-It. Sure enough, once her check was cashed, the fortunate son was granted “a full and unconditional” presidential pardon – no jail time, no payment of restitution to his victims.When the New York Times asked about such corrupt selling of official favors, MAGA Inc. declared that Trump treats every American the same. Have you read the whole Bible? That was the question my guest Tara-Leigh Cobble struggled to answer while talking to a pastor friend. As she thought back through her life growing up in a Christian home, being involved in church and now working in full-time ministry, she couldn't say for sure that she'd really read ALL of the Bible.  So she started a chronological reading plan to read it all, even the genealogies. But as she read, Tara had to wrestle with stories she'd never heard from the pulpit.   “I was questioning the Bible because I was reading the Bible and I was questioning not is this true, but is he good? Yeah. Do I like him? My mentor said the places where you have difficulty with God lean in because the good stuff is on the other side of this. The good stuff is on the other side of this struggle.” After completing her own journey of reading the full Bible and seeing scripture and God in a new way, Tara-Leigh created The Bible Recap podcast and book to help others encounter God through his Word.
