KOC is joined by Tom Haberstroh on this INSANE edition of The Kevin O'Connor Show. The guys both think it's well within the realm of possibilities that COOPER FLAGG could pull an Eli Manning, and demand his way to the Boston Celtics. Kevin has sources that told him Flagg met with the Celtics at the Draft Combine in Chicago! Plus KOC absolutely destroys "Playoff Jimmy" Butler, and explains why Golden State is in trouble for years to come. And of course, the guys preview Sunday's Game 7 between the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder, plus Tom and Kevin on why the Boston Celtics are still VERY MUCH ALIVE vs the New York Knicks.(0:53) Nuggets force Game 7 vs. Thunder(14:26) Wolves advance to Western Conference Finals(20:05) Is ‘Playoff Jimmy' a myth?(28:34) What's next for the Warriors?(36:46) Celtics vs. Knicks Game 6 preview(42:15) Boston interviews Cooper Flagg at NBA Draft Combine
Jalen Brunson is putting on an all-time playoff performance — and KG & Paul Pierce are putting respect on his name. The guys break down how the Knicks star is dominating 4th quarters and where he ranks among the playoff greats. Then, it’s chaos in the lottery: the Mavs win the No. 1 pick — do they grab Cooper Flagg or potentially flip it for someone like Giannis? Plus: Celtics in crisis, Pacers on the rise, and why who has the best shot to win it all.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Welcome back wrongdoers. Cam and Antonio are back with another "Life's A Bench" podcast episode. Here we scratch the sports itch. Tap in as we talk NBA playoffs, draft & NFL schedule release.
Elly (Reds) has-115 extra base hits and stolen bases in his first 300 games (best since 1900); Can Judge win the Triple Crown?; Cards have won 9 in a row; Mavs get #1 pick (Flagg) with 1.8% chance; Knicks, TWolves, Hurricanes and Oilers go up 3-1; Derek Carr made $195MM in the NFL.
So you're saying there's a chance… What's crazier, the Pope being a White Sox fan or the Mavs winning the #1 pick in the NBA draft? Toss up! Unless Nico trades for Giannis, Cooper Flagg will become a Dallas Maverick. The lottery has spoken and the rigged system has rewarded the embattled GM with a generational talent. Deserving? Hell no. A worthy consolation prize for making the worst trade in NBA history? Sure. Meanwhile in the NBA Playoffs, the Thunder are in trouble, as they now head back to Oklahoma City for a Game 7 with the 2023 champion Denver Nuggets. And after a Jayson Tatum achilles exit, the Knicks too must win a Game 6 in the Garden to ensure they move on in the Eastern Conference. In the NHL, the Oilers and Canes move onto the Conference Finals. While the Leafs look to battle back against the defending champ Panthers. The Stars and Jets move onto a Game 6 in Dallas, as the Stars aim to punch their ticket to the next round. Will Derek Carr be the Steelers starting QB in week 1? Should the Rockies be relegated to the minors?? Can the top golfers rebound from a bad start to the PGA Championship??? And will the Bills go 17-0???? Download and subscribe, rate and review. Tom Haberstroh and Dan Devine have unearthed the data that shows Indiana is NOT to be messed with. The Big Number guys explain how the Pacers laid waste to the #1-seed Cleveland Cavaliers, and likely won't be stopped anytime soon. Plus the guys ask the question, would Nico Harrison ever, shockingly, consider trading the #1 overall pick? What caliber of superstar would need to be offered to the Mavs' GM for him to come off of Cooper Flagg?!? The guys think Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks may convince Nico to do the unthinkable (again)! Subscribe to the The Big Number on your favorite podcast app:

In this episode, we welcome back our old friend Rohan Bhatt to discuss the Mavericks winning the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery and the #1 overall pick, the first time they have ever done so. With this, they will have the right to select Cooper Flagg out of Duke University, widely regarded as one of the best prospects in recent history. We talk about the wild series of events that have transpired for the Mavericks, starting with the trade of Luka Dončić to the Lakers and culminating with the lifeline of all lifelines in the #1 overall pick in a good draft. This development has opened up a world of possibilities for the Mavericks that didn't exist for them 36 hours ago. We go over Flagg's scouting report and break down what makes him such a special prospect. Vinay talk about where he can improve as a player, and what position he best fits at. We also discuss how the Mavs should proceed building their roster around Flagg, and what they should do with veterans Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, P.J. Washington, and Daniel Gafford. Mavs governor Patrick Dumont should still fire Nico Harrison and hire a General Manager who is committed to developing and building around Flagg, not treating him as an accessory around Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. Overall, it was a momentous day for the Mavericks franchise, which has given them new life and a future that didn't exist earlier in the week. It's on them to not squander it this time. The Dallas Mavericks landed the no. 1 pick in the draft, which means that they'll likely take the consensus no. 1 prospect, Cooper Flagg, after they traded Luka Doncic to the Lakers midway through the 2024-25 season. Logan, Howard, and Raja discuss how the lottery miraculously ended up going in Dallas's favor and what Flagg can be at the next level. Should this year's lottery be a warning to teams who are obviously tanking? Jayson Tatum left Game 4 of the Celtics vs. Knicks Eastern Conference semifinals game with an apparent leg injury that could sideline him for a long time. Andrew and Adam are back with more port mortems of teams that raced to the bottom of the standings (well, most of these teams did) in order to improve their odds for winning this year's draft lottery and getting Cooper Flagg.
