We're all witnessing some truly devastating and distressing actions against our immigrant neighbors. We may be watching this from afar, or we may be seeing it up close and personal. There are almost two reactions that happen at the same time. One is we are tempted to recoil in horror and push it away. And the other is to step forward and help. What is awesome about Nonprofit leaders is that generally we're wired to step in and help. It's what we do. But it would be easy to look at this particular situation and feel fairly powerless. That's the conversation I want to have – about the fact that in spite of the horrific events that have been occurring in Minnesota, there are some powerful lessons that are coming out of the work being done there. By community members and by community organizations that are banding together and creating a powerful force of resistance against lawless action and in support for the immigrant community. It's that combination of both resistance against what is wrong, and simultaneously stepping up to support those who are being targeted and harmed, that is the critical recipe for how we all can be thinking about how to respond. In this episode, we share:Three questions to guide you in supporting clients who are members of immigrant communities How to help staff and volunteers who are members of immigrant communitiesThe two-prong strategy that is working in MinnesotaThe powerful role that 34,000 Minnesotans have signed up to play in protecting immigrants and pushing back on lawless actions by the federal governmentTwo downloadable tools that you can start using today to support and protect your immigrant neighbors Links to downloadable resources from the Immigrant Defense Network/COPAL in MN:The Handbook for Constitutional Observers "Red Cards" on basic rightsHelp spread the word! If you found value in this episode, I'd be grateful if you would leave a review on iTunes or wherever you listen. Your reviews help other nonprofit leaders find the podcast. Thanks!!

In this episode of The Huddle Breakdown, we dissect the "debacle" of a football match against Hearts, asking if Martin O'Neill's new "Chaos Ball" tactics are destroying the team's identity. Alan reveals shocking data showing the lowest pass completion rate in 11 years and argues that the current style is turning Callum McGregor into a "terrier chasing a plastic bag." James and Alan also engage in a deep forensic debate over the Auston Trusty red card—using geometry and "The ZR Dog" to argue why the laws of the game are broken—before defending Arne Engels and previewing the Europa League clash with Utrecht.Want to support the channel? - https://huddlebreakdown.comLike this video and want more content like it? The Week That Was — Christmas Heat, Red Cards & Ridiculous BetsThis week's pod kicks off with a classic catch-up before we dive head-first into the big questions of life… like why old blokes insist on mowing the lawn in 40-degree heat. Australia retains the Ashes, Boxing Day punting plans are declared, and Mbappé decides he's chasing Ronaldo's Real Madrid scrapbook. We debate where Erling Haaland's ceiling actually is (the moon?), relive Tottenham's red-card fever dream against Liverpool, and admire Pike delivering an absolute peach on Apulia. There's Ascot horses to follow, full accountability for all the tips we butchered, plus European football best bets, A-League locks, and an EPL Matchday 18 preview that will either make you money or ruin your Christmas. We roll into “a new bet every day until New Year's Day,” celebrate Ka Ying Rising & Half Yours having a better year than half the population, and then somehow end up discussing Lily Phillips, Bonnie Blue or Brandi Love… as you do.There's Hugo Ekitike memes, England inventing sports they can't win, Chase Demoor trying to punch Tate, Anthony Joshua breaks Jake Paul's jaw, and our sporting highlights of the entire year — all before signing off for 2025.It's unhinged, it's festive, it's deeply unserious… and it's exactly what you need in your ears this week.
George Sessions and Tom Barclay reflect on another loss at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but was this a 'good' defeat for Thomas Frank against Liverpool? Should Eveton have had a red card in the early stages of the game against Forest this weekend? Check out FFTV Merch! Click Here: https://forestfantv.com/ The 3-0 loss to Everton was bad enough, but now Nottingham Forest are taking action against the Premier League's refereeing body! Join Wolfie for a deep dive into the shocking incident involving Everton defender James Tarkowski and Forest's Dan Ndoye just 11 minutes into the game. Forest hierarchy is furious and claims Tarkowski's off-the-ball shoulder barge on Ndoye should have resulted in a straight red card for violent conduct, arguing it completely changed the outcome of the Dyche Derby while the score was still 1-0. Despite the incident being reviewed by VAR, the decision stood: no red card. Forest have since lodged a formal complaint to the PGMOL, demanding an explanation for the officiating failure. Wolfie breaks down the footage and gives his unfiltered thoughts on why VAR failed to intervene and send the Everton man off. He also discusses Sean Dyche's surprisingly open post-match comments regarding the incident, which highlighted the manager's deep frustration with the refereeing standards. This isn't the first time Forest have had major issues with officiating, and the club is clearly ready to fight for fair decisions! We want to hear from you: Do you believe Tarkowski should have been sent off for violent conduct in the 11th minute? Did the VAR decision cost Forest any chance of getting back into the game? Arsenal leave Stamford Bridge with just one Premier League point after a chaotic afternoon defined by early bookings, a makeshift back line, and a referee who lost control long before Caicedo finally saw red. #939 | Ed and Dharnish pick through United's grim defeat to Everton - a game so flat it barely needs a post-mortem, yet somehow delivered enough misery to fill one. They break down Rúben Amorim's setup, from the malfunctioning wing-backs to a midfield that never got a grip, and a front line that looked like it had forgotten what chance creation even is. The pair analyse United's inability to punish Everton after the red card, a recurring theme under Amorim: lots of possession, fewer ideas. There's a look at the goal conceded, the structural issues behind it, and why United are still so bad at breaking down a low block. This week on Two Cents Gets Distracted, the All Blacks served up a bowl of crap to their fans as England handed us a brutal loss, crushing our hopes, rattling the fanbase, and putting Razor and his coaching staff squarely under the blowtorch. And yes, we rant about it. At length. With feeling. Meanwhile, the Boks battled past a fired-up Italian outfit despite copping a red card that may go down as one of the worst decisions of the entire rugby year. Ireland absolutely pumped the Aussies, Wales finally remembered what a win feels like, and Argentina pulled off an outrageous comeback because of course they did — they're Argentina. All that plus a whole lot of BS chat, whinging, therapy, and emotional processing about the state of the All Blacks. Buckle in. It's a spicy one. Cristiano Ronaldo BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Cristiano Ronaldo once again dominated headlines over the past few days both on and off the pitch. The most talked-about event was his shocking red card during an international fixture against Ireland, which marked the very first time the Portuguese superstar has ever been sent off in over 220 appearances for his national team. The moment was met with relentless boos and jeers from the Irish crowd in Dublin, and video of the incident quickly went viral as fans speculated whether the suspension might impact his availability for Portugal's World Cup 2026 opener, a subject of fierce debate on social media and among pundits according to Economic Times. Almost immediately, Ronaldo responded publicly for the first time via his official channels, posting a message of defiance and unity for his Portugal teammates, urging them to remain focused and positive no matter the circumstances. His message was widely shared, reading, "Go team! All together today and forever! For Portugal and for our flag!" according to Goal. He later returned to social media with a more cryptic message after Al Nassr's final Pro League game, sharing a moody image of himself in his club colors and writing, "This is over. The story still being. Thanks to all," fueling speculation about his club future as reported by AOL and generating major headlines about a possible departure from Saudi Arabia.Media houses like Marca and Reuters fueled the rumor mill by reporting that a major Brazilian club had reached out to Ronaldo's agents about a move for next year's FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, though sources from Wydad Casablanca clarified that their approach was just idle talk. During this tense period, Ronaldo made a notable public appearance, maintaining his signature composure and optimism ahead of the 2026 World Cup, even as reporters pressed him about his controversial red card, future plans, and the rumors swirling on every platform from X to Instagram. Performance-wise, Ronaldo closed the Saudi Pro League season as its top scorer yet again, recording his 25th goal and helping Al Nassr clinch third place and qualify for the upcoming AFC Champions League, per Transfermarkt via AOL. With his contract up at season's end, the world is watching to see whether this chapter ends quietly or with a bombshell transfer now teased by his social media ambiguity and the international headlines that follow his every move.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI
