The Master Feed for Felpham FM
In the last chapter of the book, the Caretakers consider the consequences of the attack on the communities and Nan’s own encounter with the White Boy. It’s all change for the twins though, as they prepare to return to Botcher Street and have to say their goodbyes… for now. Yet Nan is keeping a secret hidden from everyone.
The most concerted attack on Wannish Limply and Dab Island in years is all just a challenge by the White Boy to force Nan to meet him. When she finally enters a canvas from the White Boy’s past, Nan learns some of the horrendous truth about the origins of the unique canvas, the terrifying threat he might unleash upon the communities and she learns that he might just be vulnerable too.
Nan now finds that some people in Wannish and Dab welcome her, whilst others fear her. Not keen on either being shunned or the adulation, Nan is introduced to the boys’ secret pastime of Chuting and loves it… only to find the White Boy is far from finished with her!
During her recovery, Nan is surprised to find her mother now on Dab Island and keen to take the children back to the Drew family home in Botcher Street. Nan is comforted by making friends with all the people she estranged but the memories of what she had to endure still haunt her.
Nan and Tristan are still hardly speaking to each other but pretend all is well when in the presence of their recovering father. Alone and in pain, Nan hardly feels in control of herself but events are about to get far, far worse!
The twins fall out in their attitude towards a particular Caretaker and find their friendship groups fractured. However, on a school field trip inside a ‘living world’, Nan is singled out by a familiar enemy and troubled by whom she can truly rely on in a desperate situation.
With her father close to death, Nan distracts herself from the trauma by researching as much as she can about the communities, the White Boy and the Sisters… uncovering a disturbing truth in the process.
Confused, traumatised and angry about what has happened to her family, Nan listens to an explanation of Wannish and Dab’s secrets. Yet her newfound hatred for someone is also beginning to disturb and overwhelm Nan.
Sneaking their way onto Dab Island at night, the Elliot twins discover something extraordinary kept hidden in the communities. However, the secret comes at a cost and soon they are forced into a fight for more than just their own lives.
The Elliot twins make an instant impression at school in both good and bad ways. Not only are they introduced to whole new groups of people but Nan learns she has surprising new talents.
As the Elliot family prepare to leave Wannish Limply, Nan shows Tristan a secret she has learned and the twins decide to secretly defy their father. Granted permission to attend school for an afternoon, the twins are introduced to a friend of Toby’s who will have a huge impact on their lives.
Nan and Tristan witness some of the events of the funeral of Templeton Likely but are denied access to the island lying just offshore. They return to The Painted Pilchard to be greeted by new friendly faces and another one of their father’s life-altering decisions. But Nan is not at ease with either the decision or herself.
As Wannish Limply prepares for the funeral of one of its prominent members, the Elliot twins set about exploring the town and doing some research on the place and its strange features… but Tristan soon finds himself locked in what seems to be a bizarre trap or security measure.
Arriving in Wannish Limply on a stormy night, the Elliot twins hardly get any impression of the town whatsoever. As soon as they arrive at their new home, The Painted Pilchard Inn, they are greeted with warmth, hot food and strong drink… but not everyone seems happy at their arrival!
Transported to Wannish Limply on a tugboat by the unreliable Captain Mace, the Elliot twins manage to pry out a few secrets from the old sailor about the fate of the last person to hold their father’s new job. But their Uncle Adrian is about to lay down a challenge to their expectations about their new home.
Russell Elliot arrives to take the twins away to Wannish Limply on a tugboat with their Uncle Adrian. However, Adrian Elliot confounds them all, as well as the Drew sisters, with secrets and strange detours, before leading them away.
Whilst Grandpa Drew completes his ‘Cavalry Charge’ in his dogcart, the Elliot children spend an evening with their mother and learn more about the extraordinary Drew family, as well as their parents… but this does not lead to sweet dreams for Nan.
Finding themselves in their mother’s sprawling family home, the twins, Nan and Tristan, go exploring in their Uncle Norbert’s rooms, where more than hypnotic paintings await them!
Russell Elliot informs his children they are moving to Wannish Limply, a town that cannot be located on any map. However, late night invaders of the Elliot’s house might mean the family may not survive to make it that far!
When Nan Elliot arrives home, she is frightened by a bizarre confrontation with some ancient Spanish soldiers. Yet Nan and her twin brother, Tristan, have to face further upset that will have deep implications for themselves and their family.
A child intruder. A hidden body. An attempt on someone’s life that backfires spectacularly… the ‘Hidden Horizons’ journey begins.
