Unlock the full potential of astrology in New Moon Alignment at https://www.quietmindastrology.com/newmoonAstrocartography is the study of how your birth chart shifts when you move to a new location. While your core birth planets remain the same, your rising sign and house placements change, altering how those energies manifest in your daily life. In this episode, I explain why there is no "perfect" place for everyone—only the right place for your current intention. We discuss the mechanics of relocation charts, why vertical movement differs from horizontal movement, and how to use astrology as a support for your intuition rather than a replacement for it. Whether you are seeking spiritual growth, career success, or a hospitable place for a family, understanding your local chart helps you navigate potential obstacles and harness unique opportunities.QUOTES“When you move, you get a different birth chart. It changes where all the planets are, all the signs, all the houses are now different in your chart.” “Astrology is best as a support to your intuition, not a replacement for your intuition.” “Life is like a Google search. It all starts with: how can I help you today? Google is useless until you put in the query. What do you want to cultivate?” “Your main birth chart is always primary—it's 80 to 90% of the equation. Astrocartography is like 10 to 20%.” TIMESTAMPS00:00 How Moving Changes Your Birth Chart 01:14 The First Step: Using a Location-Based Chart Calculator 01:38 The Mechanics of Rising Signs and Horizons 03:08 Interpreting Your New Ascendant Themes 04:58 Why House Placements Are the Biggest Shift 05:31 Identifying Your Intention: Wealth, Health, or Family? 07:45 The Impact of Stelliums in Relocation 09:30 Trusting Your Soul's Calling Over a "Rough" Chart 10:31 Vertical vs. Horizontal Movement on the Globe 11:03 The Role of Transits, Dashas, and Timing 13:57 Planetary Placements: Rahu, Ketu, and Ego Death 14:34 Favorable Placements for Luck and Hard Work 15:40 Power Placements for Career and Success 17:32 Why Two People Have Opposite Experiences in One Place KEYWORDSVedic astrology, astrocartography, relocation chart, Jyotish, rising sign, house placements, spiritual growth, career success, Rahu, Ketu, Jupiter transits.FREE RESOURCES⭐️ Free Birth Chart: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/freebirthchart⭐️ Free Horoscopes: https://www.quietmindastrology.com/freehoroscopes⭐️ Podcast (Spotify, Apple, etc): https://creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/astrology⭐️ Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/quietmindastrology⭐️ YouTube: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/youtubeWORK WITH ME⭐️ Book a Reading: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/reading⭐️ Decode Your Chart: https://www.quietmindastrology.com/101⭐️ Mentorship: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/mentorshipQUIETMIND YOGA⭐️ Yoga Teacher Training Podcast: https://www.anchor.fm/yogateachertrainingNEXT STEP⭐️ Unlock the full potential of astrology in New Moon Alignment at https://www.quietmindastrology.com/newmoon

In this episode of PoC, we do a deep dive into the emerging common ground where esoterica and leading-edge science meet. What if this is less about a vast cosmos simply populated with spacefarers, and more about a layered realityscape rife with meaning and diverse forms of consciousness?
Sometimes words get a whole lot less specific over time, and sometimes people get really mad about that!

Today's topic is a big one: the BIOSECURE Act, signed into law on December 18, 2025, as part of the FY 2026 National Defense Authorization Act. The law restricts federal agencies, contractors, and grant recipients from procuring or using biotechnology equipment or services from what the statute calls “biotechnology companies of concern.” This is more than a procurement rule—it has broad implications for biopharma, device companies, CDMOs, CROs, genomics companies, and even research institutions relying on federal funds. Implementation timelines, designations, and compliance obligations are already starting to take shape.Questions and Comments: wkirton@bakerlaw.com and ahiggins@bakerlaw.com
Kia ora e te whānau. In our sport, we often hear stories of when people found trail running. Seldom do we hear of moments where trail running found us. Jack Harris was, as he tells it, going through a bit of a hard time, and one day decided to go for a hike along the Routeburn Track. By happy circumstance, that hike coincided with the running of the annual Routeburn trail run. It would be neater, if not less fulfilling, to fall back on some trope like “the rest is history”. And whilst it's true that history is happening to us every day, what follows in Jack's case is an 8-year journey from mid-pack to podium. Jack started 2025 with a 6th place at Tarawera 50km and ended the year as the Athletics New Zealand Long Course Trail Champion. There are heaps of other good twists along the way, including stitches, a flying doctor cameo, and an early appearance of one Ali Pottinger. Matt had the most brilliant time speaking with Jack about process, progress, and the surprising benefits of sometimes keeping your world small .

A few days away in Miami gave me a view I couldn't stop thinking about... the horizon, where what's known meets what isn't yet. In this episode, I reflect on horizons as invitations: places that call us forward while stirring up feelings of excitement and fear.

What does it take to bike across frozen landscapes most people are snuggled around their fireplaces sipping hot chocolate? In this episode of the podcast, we follow the extraordinary story of one adventurer who set out to ride a bicycle across all five frozen waters of the Great Lakes—a challenge that pushes the limits of endurance, weather, timing, and courage. As winter tightens its grip on the Midwest and Canada, our guest Eric shares how a bold idea turned into a multi-lake expedition spanning Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Superior. From carefully tracking ice conditions and brutal wind chills to navigating shifting pressure cracks and whiteout storms, the journey was anything but predictable. Each lake presented its own personality: some deceptively calm, others wild, vast, and unforgiving. In this episode, we dive into: How the rider prepared for extreme cold cycling and survival on open ice The science behind when (and if) the lakes freeze solid enough to cross Close calls, mechanical failures, and the mental battle of riding across miles of frozen horizon The unique beauty of winter on the lakes that few people ever witness It's a story about determination, risk, and the deep connection people in the Great Lakes region have with these massive bodies of water—especially in winter. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast, a cycling fan, or simply fascinated by unusual adventures, this episode brings you along for a ride across one of North America's most ambitious cold-weather challenges. This will come as a surprise to no one, but exercise is really good for us. But why it works and how it works are far less understood. Horizons moderator William Brangham explores that with Stanford University's Euan Ashley. He's a professor of genomics and cardiovascular medicine and is part of a team trying to understand, at the very molecular level, how exercise changes our bodies, and why. Inform & Connect: An American Foundation for the Blind Podcast
This past year, producer and host of AFB Possibilities Tony Stephens traveled to west Virginia to capture the stories of six individuals who are blind or have low vision. Traveling by train from the East Coast, he experienced first hand the states beauty and ruggedness as they crawled through the Appalachian Mountains before settling on the banks of the Ohio River. What he discovered was a strong spirit of independence standing on the shoulders of communities that strive to take care of one-another. The same values that made these mountain towns thrive in the early days of our nation's founding remain just as strong today in the stories of these six individuals: Heather, Lee, Earl, Asher, John and Aaron. The stories were featured in the 2025 documentary short film Unseen Horizons, which is available to watch on YouTube. A production of the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB), the documentary film was made possible through the generous support of the Teubert Foundation. Produced and edited by Tony Stephens at the Pickle Factory in Baltimore, Maryland with digital media support from Kelly Gasque and Breanna Kerr. Theme music for this episode is "As Far As the Eye Can See" by Tristan Barton licensed through ArtList.IO. Visit the podcast page on our website and consider making a gift today to support our work creating a world of endless possibilities for people who are blind or have low vision. We have a new name and we have new guest! On todays show host Ari welcomes Jeremy Brown, the founder of Life by Design, discussing his transition from traditional personal training to a holistic wellness and movement brand. Brown advocates for a "movement weirdo" philosophy, which encourages playful, intuitive physical activity over the rigid structure of typical gym routines. He explains that incorporating functional modalities like animal flows, floor rolling, and hand-eye coordination drills can improve athleticism and coordination for people of all ages. They discuss how neurodivergent individuals often thrive in these flexible environments where they can explore various options rather than following a strict script. Ultimately, Brown aims to foster a movement culture in Milwaukee and beyond that balances intense strength training with mindful, dynamic play.Follow Jeremey on Instagram @lyfebydzyneSupport the showSubscribe to Running Scared Media wherever you get your podcasts for more episodes! Holly Jackson, of Flossing in the Moonlight, returns this week. The show is sponsored by Avlea Folk Embroidery at avleafolkembroidery.com. Holly volunteered to record this show because she wanted to talk about the role of psychogeography in her art, the City and Guilds Master Practitioner Program, and her experience so far participating in the No Rules Textile Society collective. All three of these things are influencing her art in different ways. Maybe one or some of them can help you expand your needlework horizons.—Gary Listen to the podcast: Watch the video. Recorded live in Milan at the European Organisation Design Forum, this conversation with Stelio Verzera goes far beyond org charts. Stelio traces his path from aerospace engineering and early internet consulting into 30 years of sociotechnical systems work, and explains why organizations should be treated as living, evolving systems not machines. You'll hear why he uses serious games and Lego Serious Play to surface what people feel and “don't know they know” about performance, trust, leadership and strategy and why working with your hands can create breakthroughs that stick for years. Stelio shares the moments that define teams, including when senior leaders unexpectedly find language for what matters and the room changes. He also offers a leader-ready model for change using the metaphor of a river: tools and processes are visible on the surface, but capabilities, culture and people sit deeper and move slower. Ignore the deeper layers and you create change fatigue because the “inertia of the river” will swallow your initiatives. Finally, Stelio looks forward. He argues org design is shifting from mechanistic thinking to organic, adaptive organizing and now toward an ecosystemic view where organizational “boundaries” are mental constructs and leaders' responsibility extends across partners, families and communities. With AI automating more knowledge work, Stelio believes the future of org design will center even more on relationships, context, and how humans collaborate in a messy world to create value that benefits the whole ecosystem.
