The "mini-season" at the start of S3 heads towards the end with a fondly-remembered classic of an episode, one that introduced many of us not only to the Hindu festival, but to a classic Adam Sandler song into the bargain.

Seb is left floored by the last few minutes of this episode, as one of the greatest ever Jim and Pam scenes pops up out of nowhere. As for the rest of it, it's an entertaining romp, with some great Stamford material (for once!) but a couple of scenes that history has unfortunately made it more difficult to look back on...

It's maybe the weakest episode of Season 3, although Pam gets some sterling work to do and Steve Carell turns it up to 11. Stamford, meanwhile, feels like it could be cut out of the show altogether. Seb is slightly underwhelmed, but still finds plenty to enjoy, in the latest episode!

An episode that has thoroughly forgettable B- and C-plots still manages to be one of the absolute highlights of the show so far, thanks to an utterly phenomenal lead story and some of Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson's best ever work.

Season three moves quickly to put Michael, Jim and Dwight back in the same room - with extremely enjoyable results. Elsewhere, Pam goes on her first date since breaking up with Roy... but it's not with Toby, sadly for him. Is this where the third season really gets started?
