This week, I am honoured to release the conversation I had with a dude whose podcast has changed my life. Jed(church and other drugs) hails all the way from Louisiana for another long distanced Mr. Stutts. Like myself, Jed grew up in a Christian home, and tells the story of the well intentioned church causing more harm than good. We talk about how the podcast got started, shoot the breeze about our experience in recovery, his story of drugs and rehab to rehab, porn being a catalyst for addiction, how recovery makes you take your faith in God more serious than ever, and friggin' so much more. If you're in recovery, searching for faith, or love hearing different perspectives on life, I highly recommend you check out his podcast. @church.and.other.drugs.podcast churchandotherdrugs@gmail.com @mrstuttspod mrstuttspod@gmail.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/marc-sautter4/support
This week episode, I was stoked to welcome on the host of the Clean and Filthy Podcast, Matthew M. Part interview, part shooting the shiiiii. this was a fun one. The Clean and Filthy Podcast has been committed to working people through the 12 steps and 12 traditions. We talk about his thought process behind that, what it's like starting a podcast, how it feels to use our experiences to help others, pride, humility, and finally, we get into his story of recovery. As much as this was an interview, it was honestly more of a conversation than anything, I loved having this dude on, and I hope you can get something from it. Welcome back to the Mr. Stutts Podcast! Today on the show, I am pleased to bring to you Brock Bevell, from Chase The Vase. Brock's story may seem different to some of us, but way too familiar to much of North America. Brock was an undercover cop in the world of narcotics. After an injury in the line of duty, he was introduced to the world of opiods as a user, by the sneakiest drug dealers out there, his doctors. Brock tells the story of coming up as a police officer, what fighting drugs meant to him, and the fateful day that changed it all. He breaks down his fight with addiction and the incredible road back to sobriety and a full, purpose driven life. Chase the Vase is a program designed to help you through the first 30 days of sobriety and beyond! Check him out and all the great work he's doing. @brockbevell chasingthevase@gmail.com @mrstuttspod mrstuttspod@gmail.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/marc-sautter4/support

This week I have a conversation with myself, and a one-way conversation with all of you about the last two weeks in my recovery life/sober brain. Staying sane while staying sober can have its ups and downs. Our world does not stop, slow down, or treat us better just because we're sober. Adjusting to life, and learning about who we are is vital in recovery. This week I dive into some issues that have risen up in my sobriety journey. Everytime I'm in a meeting, I grab my notepad, pen, and write down notes from all the wisdom that is shared in these rooms. I go over some things I've been learning and some wisdom I've held onto from the rooms. I talk about routines, guarding the mind, sobriety brothers, taking care of yourself and a bunch more. Talking to myself has kind of become therapeutic for me, and I hope it helps you too! @mrstuttspod mrstuttspod@gmail.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/marc-sautter4/support
This week, I got the chance to meet and chat real life with Andrew Demske. Andrew and I hit it off quickly, this was a fun one. We talk not only his story, but sobriety in general. We talk his path to addiction, from a young age that eventually led to him literally dying. This one is full of juice, so I'm not giving away anymore. Grab a coffee, get comfy, and lets get started. @mrstuttspod mrstuttspod@gmail.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/marc-sautter4/support
This episode, I briefly share my thoughts on Late hip-hop great, DMX. His passing has had my brain spinning the last few days and I wanted to share my heart. Next, I share with you my experience and thoughts on the Victim Mentality. The victim mentality can be inevitable in addiction. You may be a victim, but you have the power to take responsibility, and reshape your life. You don't have to have victim mentality. This episode is guestless, just you and me! As I was making my notes I thought it would be helpful to pull studies from different articles. In this episode I talk to a new friend, all around good guy, Recovery Mike. Recovery Mike is a recovery coach, father and husband. We go on his crazy journey of early childhood trauma, creating a victim mindset at a young age, how he started drinking and escaping from reality, how he got sober, the tragedy in his life after getting sober and on and on and on we go. This conversation was so deep, and his story is so profound, AS ALWAYS, I hope you get as much out of this conversation as I did. After his story we talk shoot the ish for a bit, and before the pod for that matter. We hit it off instantly, and I will definitely have this dude back. Hit me up on Instagram or through email if you want to reach out, give feedback, or for any reason at all. Take a screen shot, share the convo! In this episode, my friend, Johnny and I sit down and talk about my story. The first 4 episodes you have heard from friends and brothers in recovery. Today, you get to hear from me. In a later episode, I'm sure to get more in the nitty gritty of my journey of first getting sober, but today we're talking about my upbringing, teenager years, what turned me away from faith and pushed me headfirst into addiction. Johnny and I played music and partied in the same circles for many years without even knowing each other, and now, have been brought together as brothers in Christ and recovery. We get into his story a little bit as the conversation goes on, but for the most part...IT'S ALL ABOUT MR. This epoidose, I share a conversation I had with my good friend CJ last year, about this journey to rehab and recovery. CJ and I toured and partied like crazy together in 2011-2013, and share a very similar story of addiction and recovery. We catch up for a few minutes, share some stories, and then he brings us through his journey, and how he ended up in rehab. From partying his life to the ground to detoxing on a plane and the beginning of the pandemic, this is a great conversation that I hope you enjoy, and maybe relate to. @cjthehero @prsnaofficial --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/marc-sautter4/support
In this intro epsidode, I briefly intro myself and what the podcast is about... Recovery, faith, life and whatever else I want. There are many great recovery podcasts out there, but there is still a stigma against addiction. As a Christian, I have noticed There is a lack of conversation about addiction in the Church specifically, and I want to bridge that gap. If you are not a Christian, you still will enjoy and benefit from the content on this podcast. Unless its garbage, and then you won't. Social Media accounts for this podcast are still in the works, but until then you can find me on Instagram: @marcisaboutthatbass --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/marc-sautter4/support
