Send us Fan MailTo celebrate their milestone 300th episode, Bobby and Jim return to recap their recent separate vacations to two very different places named Naples. Bobby shares wild, chaotic stories from his trip to Italy—including navigating bullet trains, dealing with aggressive tour guides, visiting a gay nudist beach in Palermo, and surviving a sudden police raid at an underwear club in Rome. Meanwhile, Jim contrasts that with his ultra-conservative, deeply relaxing family trip to Naples, Florida, where a restaurant waiter hilariously mistakes him and his husband for brothers. The duo wraps up the milestone episode by ranting about international airport baggage customs, discussing their partners' intense road rage habits, and exposing the "fake facades" of dating app profile pictures.Support the showAs always you can write us at nowellpodcast@gmail.com or call us at (614) 721-5336 and tell us your Not Wells of the week InstagramTwitterBobby's Only FansHelp us continue to grow and create amazing content, like a live tour or just help fund some new headphones when needed. This three part-interview takes us through the amazing career and true-crime adventures of Texas native Zeke Flatten, who grew up knowing he wanted a career in law enforcement, got himself hired as a bail bondsman at 18, and became an undercover cop at 20. Initially placed undercover in a high school to investigate gun sales and other crimes, he ended up buying a bomb from a student who was later convicted of murder. In 2000, while working undercover, he discovered an ecstasy ring that led to the arrest of Mafia leader Sammy (the Bull) Gravano in Phoenix. In 2017, Zeke, then retired from law enforcement, gained attention as a national whistleblower after exposing a major public corruption scandal involving high-ranking law enforcement officials in Northern California. He was unlawfully detained by local officers posing as U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents, leading him to uncover a complex web of corruption and money laundering involving local law enforcement engaged in a criminal enterprise. His revelations prompted FBI and IRS investigations resulting in multiple federal indictments and convictions, department policy changes and highlighted systemic corruption within local law enforcement in California's Emerald Triangle. In the summer of 2018, while attending a high school reunion in San Antonio, Zeke learned about the murder of a teenage friend named Gary Osborne. Gary had been shot to death on the night of April 8, 2009 by two men who kicked in his front door. No suspect had ever been arrested until Zeke launched an investigation that led him to a convicted burglar named Trey Fisher, who was also part of a pedophile ring responsible for one of the most famous child murders in Texas history.Heroes Behind HeadlinesExecutive Producer Ralph PezzulloProduced & Engineered by Mike DawsonMusic provided by ExtremeMusic.com

This three part-interview takes us through the amazing career and true-crime adventures of Texas native Zeke Flatten, who grew up knowing he wanted a career in law enforcement, got himself hired as a bail bondsman in high school, and then became an undercover cop at 19. Initially placed undercover in a high school ostensibly to stop drug sales, he ended up working on gun sales and other crimes, including stopping the use of even a bomb brought to school by a student.Throughout his 20+-year career as a detective he was extraordinarily effective, but ultimately took a break to focus on his young family. As he attempted to start a legal cannabis business in California, an illegal stop and siezure by off-duty police in Northern California's “Golden Triangle” (where a huge volume of cannabis is grown) sent him on a whole journey to identify and bring to justice a ring of crooked police who were routinely robbing people roadside of weed and cash from the local industry. Enlisting the aid of the FBI and local journalists, he was able to see many of the officers involved apprehended or forced into retirement. While Zeke was being harassed during the case, he went home for his high school reunion and discovered a classmate and former friend had been murdered. This propelled him into another adventure to solve the case, leading him to also uncover a human trafficking ring and solve one of the most famous child murders in Texas.Heroes Behind HeadlinesExecutive Producer Ralph PezzulloProduced & Engineered by Mike DawsonMusic provided by ExtremeMusic.com

Jeff Pike grew up surrounded by law enforcement — his father was a sheriff and later a Deputy U.S. Marshal — so from the time he was 13, he was visiting jails and crime scenes instead of playgrounds. Following in his father's footsteps felt inevitable. After becoming a game warden in Virginia, Jeff transitioned into undercover police work, where he took on some of the wildest cases imaginable — from major drug operations to male prostitution stings and violent street investigations. As his career grew, Jeff joined the sheriff's department, working deep inside the criminal underworld. But over time, he began to see the other side of policing — the corruption, the internal politics, and the moral conflicts that come with trying to do the right thing in a broken system. Eventually, he made the difficult choice to walk away from law enforcement altogether and start over as a private detective. #UndercoverCop #LockedInWithIanBick #TrueCrime #PoliceStories #LawEnforcement #RealStories #CriminalUnderworld #crimedocumentary Thanks to AURA FRAMES, BLUECHEW & PRIZEPICKS for sponsoring this episode: Aura Frames: Exclusive $35 off Carver Mat at https://on.auraframes.com/LOCKEDIN. In this episode, Neil sits down with Keith Banks — one of Australia’s most seasoned and storied undercover operatives. From a violent childhood in the Queensland outback to joining the police force at just 19, Keith’s path led him deep into the criminal underworld at a time when corruption, heroin, and chaos surged through the streets. For two years, Keith lived as someone else — carrying multiple identities, infiltrating drug syndicates, working alone without surveillance or backup, and constantly walking the razor’s edge between survival and exposure. His stories reveal the raw reality of undercover life: the adrenaline, the fear, the moral lines blurred, the friendships forged with criminals, and the moments where one wrong reaction could have cost him his life.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Welcome back to the conclusion of my interview with Author and Retired DEA Special Agent Léo Silva.Leo Silva spent over twenty-eight years on the frontlines of the global war on drugs as a special agent with the DEA. Leo's journey took him from the alleyways of Fronton Street to some of the most dangerous corners of North America, leading high-impact investigations against the Zeta and Gulf Cartels. He served as the Resident Agent in Charge of the DEA's Monterrey office, overseeing complex, cross-border operations that resulted in hundreds of high-value arrests and multi-million-dollar asset seizures. Over the course of his decorated career, he also held leadership roles in McAllen, Texas, and Guadalajara, Mexico—pioneering collaborative missions with Mexican authorities and helping rewrite the playbook for modern narco enforcement. Now, Leo has turned his attention to storytelling. The Journey to Midnight: From Navy Rescue Swimmer to Mental Health Advocate – A Conversation with Matt Griffin This week, Marcus and Melanie are honored to welcome Matt Griffin, a six-year U.S. Navy veteran and fifteen-year law enforcement professional with a career deeply rooted in narcotics investigations and public service. Matt's journey began in 1997 with the U.S. Navy, where he would later become a certified Search and Rescue swimmer, conducting counter-drug operations that played a key role in Operation Enduring Freedom, intercepting over a metric ton of cocaine intended for the U.S. market. After transitioning to law enforcement, Matt joined the Virginia Beach Police Department in 2003, where his drive and initiative earned him multiple awards—including the Class Act Award—and certifications as a narcotics expert witness in state and superior court. In 2007, Matt moved to the Keene, NH Police Department, where his work with the NH Drug Task Force and later as a School Resource Officer further showcased his dedication. He earned a Life Saving Award and led the department in arrests for two consecutive years. In 2015, Matt was selected to join the New Hampshire Attorney General's Drug Task Force, working undercover during the height of the opioid and fentanyl crisis. His relentless pursuit of justice and education surrounding these deadly drugs led to a State Police Commendation in 2016. After retiring in 2017, Matt has focused on shattering the stigma around mental health in the first responder and military communities. Now working full-time with Axon as a Virtual Reality Solutions Specialist, Matt is also a national keynote speaker, mentor, consultant, and the #1 Amazon bestselling author of The Journey to Midnight. In this episode, Matt opens up about: His military and law enforcement career and the challenges he faced What it means to serve undercover during a drug epidemic The mental toll of frontline service—and the road to healing His passion for changing the culture around mental health in emergency services How immersive VR is being used to transform training and wellness in policing Whether you're in uniform or support someone who is, this is a powerful and inspiring conversation you don't want to miss. In This Episode You Will Hear: • [The field] is the great equalizer. Nobody can bother me there. On the field, it doesn't matter what you bring, what you showed up in, or what kind of clothes or shoes you have. It's me against you. (18:49) •You just never knew when to give all you had, so all you do was constantly give all you had. (31:13) •Life's not fair, which makes it fair. (36:45) •Just like in the Navy, you're not gonna do well in the beginning, because they've gotta see a transition to you being good. (43:22) •We made marijuana legal, but what that did was the cartels were like “I'm not losing 30% of my profit. I'll find something else.” (61:46) •America makes up 80 something percent of the world's opioid prescriptions. (63:11) •I take full responsibility for my divorce. I forgot how to be a husband, forgot how to be a dad, and it hit me hard. (66:11) • [My friend Brian, also the Police Chief] was checking in on me. You know what I didn't say? “how're you doing bro?” He checked on me and I didn't check on him. 2 hours later he went home and shot and killed himself. (72:46) •If you want to learn how to make ramen the right way, ask a military guy. (76:31) •I just felt like I was failing my kids every single day. All of a sudden, this light bulb went off. The next step in my transition from the Navy to the police department to the team, is to take myself out of the game. (77:00) •The off-ramp is – it's okay to not be okay. (80:05) •Once you realize that life is short, you don't want to waste 24 hours being hungover. (86:04) •Every day I'd wake up and I'd say. “Today's a good day to die, so is tomorrow.” And I would try to string some good decisions together. (90:29) •My motto is: Every day, I find an opportunity inside of my 24-hour window that I get to live to do something good for somebody else. (91:08) •Tomorrow is a good day, and you can make it there. (93:20) •The scariest day of my life was when I hit “publish” on my book. (100:08) •Where I sit here today, God is the biggest influence in my life. (107:08) •As I speak around the country people would line up to buy a book, but I realized they weren't trying to buy a book. You know what they wanted to do? They just wanted to come and say “Hey, I'm struggling, too.” (116:10) Socials: -- IG: authormattgriffin Support TNQ - IG: team_neverquit , marcusluttrell , melanieluttrell , huntero13 - https://www.patreon.com/teamneverquit Sponsors: - WARFARE IN THEATERS - shipsticks.com/TNQ - Navyfederal.org - Robinhood.com/gold - strawberry.me/TNQ - stopboxusa.com {TNQ} - ghostbed.com/TNQ [TNQ] - kalshi.com/TNQ - PXG.com/TNQ - joinbilt.com/TNQ - Tonal.com [TNQ] - greenlight.com/TNQ - PDSDebt.com/TNQ - drinkAG1.com/TNQ - Shadyrays.com [TNQ] - qualialife.com/TNQ [TNQ] - Hims.com/TNQ - Shopify.com/TNQ - Aura.com/TNQ - Policygenius.com - TAKELEAN.com [TNQ] - usejoymode.com [TNQ]
