Nutmeg State Transportation Report

In episode 18 of the Nutmeg State Transportation Report, we discuss an issue that we've been working on for a while, and need to continue to work on as an industry. That is workforce development. Our industry has a well-publicized shortage of truck drivers, and we need to work on recruiting new drivers to the industry. One of the ways we can do that is by passing legislation. I am pleased to have been involved in crafting CDL training legislation during the 2022 legislative session. Here today to talk about this are a couple of folks that I worked with. From an entity called Ameelio, they are Zo Orchingwa and Gabe Saruhashi.

In episode 17  of the Nutmeg State Transportation Report, we are here to focus on an issue related to energy and the environment: electric trucks. Why? Because the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) just published a new report, titled Understanding the Environmental Impacts of Zero Emission Trucks. Here today to go discuss this study is Jeff Short, who is Vice President at ATRI.
