Sitting by the warmth of the fire is one of the more romantic parts of winters coming. But I also listen to the whistle of the chimney and am reminded of the importance of a safe home and all that entails. -CAVEMANverses-
An important time for my little family. Launching 'When Water Lost Her Way'. A gorgeous children's book by Meg Humphrys.
My next track draws on my obsession with tapping whilst driving. I like to think of it as my Emotional Freedom Technique. Helping by turning a stressful ride into something positive? I am not to sure.
This track is dedicated to a friend I lost to suicide last week. He had a true gift for making others share in the joy of life itself. Thanks for our time together G RIP Gaitan Nemorin

Gliosis is a nonspecific reactive change of glial cells in response to damage to the central nervous system (CNS). In most cases, gliosis involves the proliferation or hypertrophy of several different types of glial cells, including astrocytes, microglia, and oligodendrocytes. In its most extreme form, the proliferation associated with gliosis leads to the formation of a glial scar. Best to share
just as well phrase of just 1. a good or fortunate thing. "it was just as well I didn't know at the time"
The gentle ambience created by the anticipation of the unknown. The show, the art, the book, the heart. It all adds up.
Research carried out in the 1990s discovered that the brain may contain what are described as “mirror neurons” that are active both when you are performing a task AND when you are observing someone else carry out the task. When we hear someone communicating while crying, for example, it can be challenging to not also experience the corresponding feelings of sadness.
Feeling close to my sound and reflecting back on 2017 it was hard to avoid doing a track about where I think I am at creatively. I will have to apologise in advance for the poor quality of this track (hardware damaged) Peace
This track was written whilst wandering through the hallways of my mind. It aims to explore an unusual feeling that mirrors that of loss but is driven by desire. The desired outcome rarely comes to fruition yet the feeling, that is ‘longing’, usually finds a purpose and therefore achieves fulfilment. Interviewer: What’s the best thing you’ve ever done? Sandman: Shave a space in between my eyebrows. Also thanks to those of you who have joined me on my journey thus far. You have very generous ears
‘To bed! To bed! ' Said Sleepy-head; ‘Tarry awhile, ' said Slow; ‘Put on the pan, ' Said Greedy Ol' Nan; ‘We'll sup before we go.'
Creativity requires an almost innate lack of awareness of social forces and needs of people so that their noise is not interfering with our pursuits of ideas. As suggested in part by Raymond F. Jones — writer of the short story 'Noise Level' I continue my curiosity into what impact the noise of modern society has on our ability to hear our own creative expression. 'Noise Level' takes a vocoded sample I enjoyed and juxtapositions it over the scream of one's soul trying to shut out the noise. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_F._Jones
Changing Aesthetics verb, noun An internal conflict continues to brew within, between embracing new technologies and an ongoing desire to hear what is real. Our ability to manufacture sounds that evoke emotions continues to blow my mind and has a strong influence on my current learnings. But it does lead me to question my role in the works I have crafted. Is this I?

Nati – This weeks track was born from reflections of our time spent in a small Victorian town called Natimuk. I aimed to use sounds recorded around the silo and capture the energy this place harnesses. Wide open spaces juxtaposed against a huge gnarly rock. I would like to thank the Jaadwa for the creative energy this land carries. Audio of climber can be found at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW5xJwigPnk

So much external noise comes from the device we hold closest to our physical self. I worry about this, I am still worrying about this. What will science tell of this relationship in years to come. This track explores the last two minutes of my screen time before my mind implodes, the eyes close, the postural muscles relax, and consciousness is practically suspended. Healthy end to the day...... You decide

Urban “More than half of the world's population already lives in cities, and another 2.5 billion people are projected to move to urban areas by 2050. The way we build new cities will be at the heart of so much that matters.” Peter Calthorpe, 2017 See: https://www.ted.com/talks/peter_calthorpe_7_principles_for_building_better_cities#t-734010
Fournier “….By the 15th Century the lordly rights had evolved further, and were usually preserved as a licence or lease (fermage) which the lord sold to a master of the communal oven, who then could sublet its use to individuals, or could bake for a charge (the person who actually ran the oven was the Fournier) Occasionally the ovens were used to sterilise the feather stuffing of pillows and mattresses: the feathers were washed, the dried in the warm oven for five or six days in sacks to kill odours and parasites.” (Circa 15th Century) Excerpt from ‘The Bread Builders: Hearth Loaves and Masonry Ovens’ By Alan Scott, Daniel Wing This song was built using samples from a conventional gas oven, combustion fireplace and toaster.

Bohemian historians believe that the polka was invented by a peasant girl (Anna Slezak, in Labska Tynice in 1834) one Sunday for her amusement. It was composed to a folk song "Strycek Nimra Koupil Simla (Uncle Nimra brought a white horse)." Anna called the step "Madera" because of its quickness and liveliness.
