The first RB Coaching player podcast - World Cup Edition! Parents, we want to help the players understand they can learn by watching their favourite players on TV. With the world cup on this creates the perfect opportunity for them to give this little task a go. Can they choose a player who plays in their position, focus on the game for 10 minutes and make some notes about what they see. How many of the following does this player do? - Touches on the ball - Succesful passes - Succesful dribbles - Tackles or interceptions - Crosses - Shots They can then times these numbers by 10 to represent what they would likely see over the course of the whole game. Full time coaches Ryan, Kieran and Matty round off this months module by discussing the key to a successful first touch and the things that must be done before, during and after to ensure players are one step ahead of others.

In this months episode we answer one of the biggest questions in world football, with Messi and Ronaldo currently not being talked about as the best player in the world.... who is? We also discuss which players would make up a world 11 right now.

The ball spends a huge amount of time off the ground in a football match. Coaches Matty, Ryan and Kieran discuss the end to our aerial control module and the secret to how players can get the ball down on the ground and in turn spend more time on the football. It's also report time, find out what to expect from your child's report.

Back with another monthly RB Coaching run through. No sign of January blues on the programme as players got stuck straight into the protecting the ball module. We discuss just why this skill is so important.

Coaches Ryan, Nick and Matty flew off to Portugal on the RB Tour and The Football Playground hosted a week of football fun during half term.
