For many, and life us, just reading the word suicide is triggering and uncomfortable. However, as our guest, Daniel Eccles, explains, we MUST talk about it! We must use the word. And the best time to do it is now.

Jeremy, and guest host, Daniel, discuss how to thrive in a world that seems to only guarantee disappointment. First, Jesus does not cause your disappointment. However, Jesus always promises to redeem your spirit while you navigate disappointment. Second, isappointment can cause an identity crisis, as we love to connect our identity to our experiences - both good and bad. Thriving in disappointment is learning to live within the disappointment and seeing the present as our thriving space. Thriving is not a destination we look towards, but rather, a current possibility.
Jeremy and Daniel discuss the six ways to accept and overcome deep disappointment.
The danger of cancel culture is refusing to provide the same grace to each other that Jesus gave to us. Here is the primary question to consider with Gen-Z: Do people participate in cancel culture as a way to fit in with their peers, or are their opinions and reasons for canceling someone legitimate? Though many have been forgiven and forgotten, no public figure is safe from cancel culture. Whether it's re-interpreting something a celebrity says, or deep-diving to find something controversial, cancel culture invades privacy with the intent to harm an individual rather than raise awareness for an issue. Jesus didn't die for your opinions and your relationships shouldn't die for them either!
Should a Christian participate in cancel Culture? The news stories are so predictable they're starting to read like a game of mad libs. __(Name of celebrity/leader)___ was fired from __(name of business/organization)__ yesterday after fans expressed outrage over a tweet that said, __(quote from reprehensible tweet)___. Cancellation Culture is the OPPOSITE of Grace! THE BIGGEST LIE IN POST-CHRISTIAN CHRISTIANITY IS THAT GRACE ISN'T SUFFICIENT FOR EVERYONE WE ARE TERRIFIED TO ACTUALLY HAVE THIS CONVERSATION BECAUSE WE ARE FEARFUL OF BEING CANCELLED FOR EVEN TALKING ABOUT CANCELLATION CULTURE Godly Christian leadership requires us to be Humble Strive for Godly character and integrity Live in unity So what does it mean to live like Jesus in a cancel culture? Sometimes it means boldly calling out people in positions of power, and other times it means offering compassion to someone no one else is willing to love, regardless of what they've done wrong - Amy Noel Green

Learn to fall so you can get back up better than ever before! 1. Own it 2. Assess what happened: Ask yourself these evaluation questions What happened? Why did it happen? Could it have been avoided? What part did I play in this? How can I do better next time? 3. Remember your why and who you are in Jesus 4. Stand up and keep going
