Anna K Morris spent her early career living she thought was an "idyllic" life. She had an amazing job in New York City, an enviable boyfriend, she was traveling and living the life she thought would bring her true happiness. The problem was – it didn't.In this episode, Anna takes us through her own untethering, where she shares how she unraveled the "dream" life – which had actually turned out to be a nightmare – and rebuilt a life that is in alignment and in true integrity for herself.Similar to how I have spent the last decade shedding the things I "thought" would make me happy, living the life I "thought" I should be living so I can live a life that's true to me, Anna discovered the things that truly make her happy and fulfilled.Today, Anna uses her many years of experience to support others through this process as a mindset and journaling coach. Anna and I met at a retreat in Boca Raton, Florida, and we had a conversation there that is transparent and real as this one. We wanted to bring that same energy forth for you to be part of this conversation today, and we hope you enjoy and take something away from it!Takeaways:When you feel like life is not working, even if you don't know what is wrong or why it feels that way, it's time to start journaling and looking inward.Release the morality around your thoughts and decisions. Everything is not good or bad, it simply "is." Self work has a ripple effect. Allow it to shift you away from a desire to manipulate the people around you and, instead, become the change yourself. When things get too serious, invite play and curiosity. Self-development work gets to be fun! Listen to this episode to hear:How getting curious is the pathway to a new and more aligned lifeWhy our only job is to make ourselves feel good, and no one elseHow to accept radical self-responsibility Why being out of integrity with yourself creates situations in your life that aren't working – and what to do about itConnect with AnnaWebsite: AnnaKMorris.comLearn about Anna's Reconnect 12-week coaching programBooks mentioned in this episode:You Can Heal Your Life by Louis HayThe Way of Integrity by Martha BeckWomen, Food and God by Geneen RothSupport the showGet on the waitlist to join Jen's upcoming membership Brilliant Breathwork! Can feelings of envy uncover our deepest needs? That's the question that set me on an unexpected journey, revealing a longing for deeper connections with other women. In this episode I share my personal exploration into the realms of envy and jealousy  and I unravel how we often misinterpret our feelings, and how acknowledging our true desires can actually help us grow.We often associate selfishness with guilt and unworthiness, especially when it comes to women prioritizing their needs. But what if we reframe this perspective? Imagine if recognizing and acting on our heart's desires was seen as a gift, not just for ourselves, but for others too. We have the potential to inspire those around us and break free from societal expectations. Tune in and let's redefine the narrative around envy, jealousy, and selfishness together. To schedule your complimentary consult with Karin click here.Make sure to follow and rate the podcast on your favorite podcasting app.For more information and full show notes go to:https://www.karinnelsoncoaching.com/post/Exploring-Envy-and-Jealousy-A-journey-Of-Self-Growth

There are two types of fun: type I fun, where things feel good and fun in the moment and type II fun, where what you're doing may not be fun, and might even be an uncomfortable or unpleasant but you reminisce about it later and think about it fondly. While there is a time and place for both, learning to enjoy type II fun builds character and gives you rich memories that outlast the fleeting moments of type I. In this episode we discuss what type II fun looks like in the day to day and how it's important to balance your life with a little more of it.Jenny BlakeThis episode is brought to you by Jenny the Nutritionist.
