Sarah chats to Samuel Langley-Swain about his work as an author and publisher of inclusive books for children and their adults. Founder of Owlet Press, Sam's world changed in 2014 when he became a Dad. Having never thought of writing books, he was dramatically inspired by his children and the new universe he'd entered into. His book What Wesley Wore has now been translated all over the world. "I self-published my first book in September 2017 and sold over 7,000 copies in the first 12 weeks. As I toured the book it became important to me to be able to create positive change for children through stories, working with new authors who have the same beliefs as I do." Find out more about Samuel and his books at https://www.owletpress.com/ What have we been listening to https://www.folkonfoot.com/ Ian particularly recommends the episodes with Johnny Flynn, Robert McFarlane and the one with Cosmo Sheldrake.

Ian speaks with Michael Brown Author of the Business Book award winning 'I Don't Agree'. A fascinating insight into process and experience of writing a non-fiction book for business. Michael Brown is a business founder, a long-term managing director, part of the leadership group of an organisation of over 4,000 people, and a social enterprise pioneer – helping to create, launch and lead what is thought to be the world's first mental health drop-in centre inside a soup kitchen. Michael's interest in the psychology of conflict and compromise arose after spectacularly falling out with his fellow shareholders in a business he led for a decade. The lessons he learned positively informed the culture of his next venture, now an international marketing organisation, and gave rise to I Don't Agree.
