A repost from the podcast Making Melanite, Theophilus gives his observation on Blacks in SciFi and why this genre is perfect for exploration in the 21st Century.

Theophilus Lamar uses Black History Month 2021 to restate his intent and his commitment to build a Dimension and even expand his goals to include an Omniverse. In this quick episode, he states his intent and invites others to join him in becoming Azurians.  

Theophilus lays out his plans to create a brand new Pantheon on heroes for the 21st century and touches on how he thinks this could make Entertianment interesting again as the world begins to look to the aftermath of the Pandemic. 

Before diving in, Theophilus shares some clarifying thoughts on his purpose goals. Among other things he explains how this begins his Hero's Quest to build a collective storytelling Omniverse for the people of the Planet Earth. 

Theophilus explores what evergreen stories are and suggests that going "evergreen" is how Hollywood should be doing business rather than remaking and relaunching stories. He provides examples using Harry Potter and DC comics and even touches on what it would look like in his own upcoming universe. 

Theophilus takes a moment to address the George Floyd situation. He addresses Hollywood's pledge of support and expresses his doubts. He reaffirms his own commitment to produce his own content and shares recommendations for other diverse content creators of sci-fi, fantasy, and supernatural stories.

In this episode, Theophilus explains what he means by chaos storytelling and how, by going with the flow of the creative process, he has been able to create more stories and look forward to bringing the Melanite Dimension to life. 

In trying to come up with a succinct way to explain why he was creating the Azure Dimension, Theophilus came up with an elevator pitch that he believes encompasses the story he is trying to tell and the overarching goals of his project. Theophilus reaches back and pulls out a table read he did for his degree program. Court of Crimson was written as a comic but the school assignment called for a table read and with some help from some of his friends he got it done over lunch.
