Alright, horror hounds! Tom Holland here, ready to dish out the spine-tingling details of Act 3 in our Fright Night 40th Anniversary Cast Reunion Table Read. Buckle up, because this is where it all comes to a head! Picture this: We've got Charley and Peter Vincent, unlikely allies, sneaking into Jerry's lair as the clock ticks toward dawn. The tension's so thick you could cut it with a fang! Our heroes are searching for Amy, but Jerry's got more than a few tricks up his sleeve. We're talking bat transformations, a basement showdown, and Amy caught between two worlds. Peter Vincent finally gets his mojo back, but is it enough to take down a centuries-old vampire? And let me tell you, the special effects team outdid themselves with Jerry's final moments - it's a pyrotechnic spectacle that'll have you shielding your ears! But here's the kicker, folks - just when you think it's all wrapped up in a neat little bow, we've got a stinger that'll make you question everything. Is evil truly vanquished, or is it just waiting for another invitation? This finale is my love letter to classic horror, with nods to the greats like Hammer Films and Universal Monsters, but with that unmistakable 80s flair. It's got heart, humor, and enough scares to keep you checking under the bed for weeks. So grab your crucifixes, garlic, and headphones and settle in for a finale that'll remind you why Fright Night has stood the test of time. After all, everyone's entitled to one good scare, right? Stay spooky, and remember - the night belongs to the undead! Tom https://terrortime.shop/ https://www.fiorscotch.com/ - Delicious!

Hey, there, horror hounds and fright fans. Tom Holland here, ready to take you on a journey back to where it all began - Act I of Fright Night 40TH Year Cast Reunion TABLE READ You've seen this before, but trust me, you haven't experienced it like this. With Mark Hamill stepping into Roddy McDowall's shoes as Peter Vincent, and the electric Rosario Dawson joining Christopher Sarandon and our beloved original cast, we're breathing new life into this classic tale of suburban terror. And in this podcast - you're right there with me, in the room LIVE with Chris, Bill, Mark, Rosario and the whole Fright Night family. They delivered a performance so damn good, it was almost as frightening as the vampires themselves. In Act I, we set the stage. We introduce you to Charley Brewster, your average American teenager with an above-average problem - his next-door neighbor might just be a bloodsucking fiend. It's a delicate balance, between the mundane and the monstrous. We start with the ordinary - high school, homework, hormone-driven makeout sessions - and slowly, insidiously, let the extraordinary creep in. It plays on our deepest fears. Not just of vampires, but of not being believed, of being alone in the face of unspeakable evil. It's Stephen King's Loser's Club meets Rear Window, with a dash of hormonal teenage angst thrown in for good measure. As you listen, pay attention to the little details - the way the tension builds, the way disbelief slowly gives way to dawning horror. Listen for the chemistry between our cast, both old and new. It's like lightning in a bottle, folks, and we've managed to capture it again after all these years, just for your ears; electrifying your mind with a masterful soundtrack designed just for you, just for this story! We share laughter, stories, and outtakes - it's like your ear is pressed to the studio door, eavesdropping on icons reanimating an iconic story - my iconic story, at that. As Stephen King might say, we're not just telling a story, we're opening a vein and letting it bleed all over the microphone. So come on in, the bite's fine. Buckle up, turn out the lights, grab your earbuds because when that sun goes down and Jerry Dandrige bares his fangs, you're in for one hell of a ride. Welcome back to Fright Night, for real! Tom https://terrortime.shop/ https://www.fiorscotch.com/ - Delicious!

With returning guest Seth Zarate! Listening note: This episode sounds different from our usual productions. Cody, Seth, and Jason were all in a room together, while Aaron joined remotely. Jason had precious little editing time. Our apologies for any disruptions. One of Peter Weir's earliest feature length films, THE CARS THAT ATE PARIS bears some of his hallmarks (genre-mixing, dualities, subcultures, cars cresting hills menacingly) and also some surreal, batshit filmmaking in the same conversation as MAD MAX (1979) (obviously) and DEATH RACE 2000 (1975) and PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE (1974) – and also the movies of the Coen Brothers? Check it out! Hi and welcome to the season 5 premiere! We've got a treat for you! Elizabeth and Mark are joined by Jovanna Van Pelt and Richard Wayne Horton in a table reading of A Long Moment in the South, part of Richard's book Artists in the Underworld. The book is out on Human Error Publishing. Richard is a frequent contributor to Meat For Tea. (See also his Meat For Tea Press book Sticks and Bones!) We hope you enjoy this special recording of this excellent work. "Stories do what their roots tell them to do, and the roots run deep in these stories. The book starts with eleven published stories in the dark range, then goes on to “A Long Moment In The South,” flash fiction, set in three Texas towns from 1953 to 1957. A strong voice and a person to person talking style takes the reader inside the stories. "...razor sharp language..." –Amy Laprade, novelist.
