Holidays are an excellent time to pray, regroup, reflect and spend time with loved ones. They can also be a very trying time for people who have lost loved ones. This episode of Truth Still Matters takes a look at how God allows pain in our lives and stays with us through it all. He is Emmanuel, God with us.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is a game changer in the spiritual life! As Cristians, we benefit from spiritual gifts given to us personally as well from the gifts given to others. Catholics make a big deal about Mary because of the great things God has done for Mary. But here’s the thing….God did wonderful things for Mary and then turned around and gave Mary to us!!!! You and I can benefit from all gifts given uniquely to Mary because Mary has been given to us!!! Mary is not in competition with Jesus but is His gift to us!!! Can Christians believe in Santa?? What is more truthful between the idea of parents providing for their children vs. Santa? Our faith provides an insight into these questions that must be captured and passed on. No one is called to be an “adult” of God but a child!!! As Catholic Christians, a sense of “awe” of God must be preserved and sought after. This episode of Truth Still Matters was captured a couple of years ago and is being share this Christmas so that we might be encouraged to seek after the unexpected from God.
