Welcome to Weather Together! Today we'll be discussing freedom and independence. Today we've again formatted the conversation around our segment called, "Circle Settle In". During our in-person events it's called, "Circle Share In". We hope the questions we've posed today are ones you can ask around your own table. 1. Do you ever take vacations? Why or why not? 2. Is it appropriate to celebrate during tragedies? 3. If you could invent a holiday, what would the holiday celebrate or commemorate? What activities would you do on that day? 4. Are you proud of your country of origin? 5. Do you believe it's ever possible to be independent? 6. Do you value independence? 7. Do you value one over the other? Independence vs. interdependence. Why? 8. Are there some holidays that you feel you shouldn't celebrate because they aren't for you? If so, why? 9. Do you feel free? 10. Is there a way to tell the difference between when you are celebrating, appropriating or showing appreciation for someone's culture? How do you know? Our next episode will continue the conversation and feature young voices from around the country, as we process and come together as one community to heal and demand change. Special guests CoCo & LaLa started it all as two friends, a birthday and tart cherry juice. After accidentally getting 1,000 views on their first Facebook Live video together, Coco & Lala began documenting their food journey showing all of us what happens when a carnivore goes vegetarian and a vegetarian goes vegan. Today, Coco & Lala have a massive following on both their Facebook Live show called Keeping up with Coco & Lala and their wildly popular radio show. Coco & Lala are teaching us all how to “Healthin Up” our lives while having fun. You'll learn how not to burn the kitchen down, why kool-aid blue is a flavor and what dish to make if you're new to cooking on this week's episode of Weather Together!
We're weathering together using comedy! Laugh with our special guest comedians Akanksha Aurora, Declan Brown of the Backpocket Podcast, and Fletcher Kade as we discuss performing live, writing original jokes, OnlyFans and so much more on our first episode of Weather Together!
