SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #326 - Legends of Tomorrow - Camelot/3000 | Recap & ReviewRip makes a quick run to the future to confront and murder Dr Midnite, giving him the 2nd of 4 pieces of the Spear of Destiny.  The Legends, who arrive too late to intervene, find the aftermath and a neat piece of mind control tech.  Their next stop is Camelot, which it turns out is real.  Stargirl has carefully influenced this time period so that it becomes the Camelot of Legend, where she is hiding herself as Merlin and the 3rd spear piece as the sword in the stone.  The Legends arrive and quickly befriend the Round Table in general but Rip and Damien show up with a mind-controlled King Arthur and threaten to kill the king if the spear piece isn’t delivered to them.  After much debate, Stargirl does eventually hand the piece over to Vixen, seemingly avoiding the need for the Legends to participate in a doomed defense of Camelot.  But Ray is just too inspired to help himself and refuses to leave the kingdom behind.  Eventually, the rest of the team decides they have to help Ray and Camelot as well.  After Jax discovers the way to use the mind control tech they found earlier, Rory focuses his years of personal torment into the device, which destroys the tech keeping Rip’s army subservient to him.  Arthur seemingly slays Rip on the battlefield and Damien leaves him for dead.  Sara, however, saves him, which may be a bad idea because Gideon still responds to Captain Rip, even if he’s evil.

SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #320 - Supergirl 2x12 - Luthors | Recap & ReviewThis week was a glimpse into the past of Lena Luthor.  First off, it turns out she was an illegitimate spawn of Lionel’s who was brought into the family without the full support of Lillian.  Secondly, she’s apparently embarrassingly better at chess than the vaunted Lex Luthor, who it turns out was friends with Superman for years before the two became arch nemeses.  But this story is about the escape of Metallo and the teamwork between him, Cyborg Superman, and Lillian that ensues.  When Metallo escapes, Lena is left to blame and is summarily arrested.  Kara, however, is certain her friend wouldn’t do this.  It does eventually turn out that the damning footage of Lena was faked by Cyborg Super-Hank, which exonerates Lena.  Ultimately, a battle ensues between Supergirl and the CADMUS trio but the results are deadly for Metallo, whose use of synthetic Kryptonite are inevitably self-destructive.  Cyber-Hank and Lillian scuttle away and the Manhunter shows up in time to give Supergirl enough time to save Lena, but Metallo is supposedly a goner.  All the while, James and Kara have been talking and the relationship between Guardian and Supergirl may have a future, because they’ve talked about mutual trust now and game night is back on.  Also, Alex comes out to the gang, who are all happy for her but with varying degrees of not surprised.  And Kara finally faces her feelings for Mon el.  The two even kiss, almost, until a 5th dimensional imp shows up and steals the scene, declaring his love for Kara.

SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #299 – Lucifer 2x12 – Love Handles | Recap & ReviewA masked killer tries to prove that at a crucial moment, good people will selfishly try to save their own lives.  The poison from last week’s episode is used on innocent people and perfect strangers are asked to harm themselves in order to save that person’s life.  Chloe and Lucifer manage to stop the killer, and when Lucifer corners him he offers a cryptic message about choices and kills himself.  All the while, Chloe tries to show Lucifer she can be a little more fun, and Lucifer keeps insisting to himself that Chloe’s recent interest in him must be one of his mother’s devious tricks.  With Linda’s inadvertent help, Charlotte decides to reveal Chloe’s divine roots to Lucifer.  First, she enlists a reluctant Maze to help with the intervention, then she invites him to the bar where Amenadiel blessed Chloe’s parents, right in front of  a convenient snapshot of Amenadiel and Chloe’s mom rests  on the wall (one must believe miraculously unperturbed for 36 years). Lucifer sees it and flips out about his Dad’s plans and tricks, then rushes to confront Chloe about whether she knew.  His anger wanes quickly, however, when he arrives and finds her scared in the bathroom, seemingly suffering from the same symptoms as the poisoned innocents.                                 Subscribe to the Show: iTunes | Stitcher | RSS
