When they asked what was included in it, God revealed to them how the Torah disallowed that particular weakness that that particular Nation had. What is the Jewish weakness? What is our kryptonite? When we study the story of Korach we find the answer. Korach launched a rebellion against Moshe and Aaron by specifically trying to exploit the innate Jewish weakness.– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –DONATE: Please consider supporting the podcasts by making a donation to help fund our Jewish outreach and educational efforts at https://www.torchweb.org/support.php. The 2028 U.S. presidential election is just over two years away — which means we already have to start talking about it. In a special LIVE taping of 'We're Not Kidding' in New York City, Mehdi was joined by author, political commentator, and host of the 'Fast Politics' podcast Molly Jong-Fast, where they sought to answer the one burning question of every politics (and comic book) nerd: Which of the Democratic presidential hopefuls has the greatest superpower – and what is their 'Kryptonite' that could tank their candidacy? Together, they break down Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's celebrity status, who the sleeper hit of the Democratic primary could be, and discuss why, if she runs, Kamala Harris will probably lose…again. "When you lose, shouldn't you just go away?" Mehdi asks. "That's why I think [Kamala Harris] is not going to run again," Molly says. They also take questions from the live audience in New York on whether social media is to blame for young people being drawn in by right-wing pundits like Tucker Carlson, why the media rarely covers labor issues, and whether Trump has an exit strategy in Iran (spoiler: he doesn't). The two also discuss: The Jan. 6 rioters' billion-dollar payout from the Trump administration. Marco Rubio and JD Vance's 'Apprentice'-style tryout for Trump's backing in 2028. How much right-wing political content is actually astroturfed. This episode was co-produced by On Air Fest and On Air Presents as part of their yearlong programming. What happens when a former curriculum director becomes an AI strategist for an entire state? You get the kind of zoomed-out view most of us in education never get to see.In this episode, I welcome back my good friend Karle Delo, AI Strategist at Michigan Virtual, for a real conversation about what's actually working in school districts, what's flopping, and what the secret AI culture in your building probably looks like right now.Karle works with districts across Michigan, helping them build AI guidance, professional learning, and integration plans. She's seen the speedboats, the tugboats, and the anchors. And she's not here to sell you on hype.We get into:→ Why one-and-done AI PD is setting your district up to fail→ The "shadow AI" problem and why pretending it doesn't exist makes it worse→ Why students say AI feedback from teachers feels like a slap in the face→ The AI-slop cycle, where teachers, students, and graders are all just feeding the machine→ The three things every school leader needs to read on a billboard→ Why your authentic voice matters more in 2026 than it ever has→ The one question to ask students that will change how you think about AI in your schoolChapters00:00 Welcome and Sponsors00:56 Meet Carly the AI Strategist07:24 District AI Guidance and Onboarding17:51 Why AI Efforts Succeed or Fail27:05 Avoiding AI Mistakes30:39 Spotting AI Slop36:16 What Students Want47:55 Kryptonite and Wrap UpIf you're a superintendent, CTO, instructional coach, or classroom teacher trying to figure out where to start, where to slow down, or where you might already be off track, this episode is for you.Karle reminds us that you don't need every teacher to be an AI super user. You don't need 20 tools. You need a strategy. You need community. And you need to actually talk to your students. This is the kind of conversation that cuts through the noise and gives you something you can take back to your building on Monday.

We also discuss why the best brands don't just create individual "sizzle" pieces, but instead design cohesive, layered systems where every detail is considered. In this episode, you'll learn: The "fake it till you make it" lie and how to cure imposter syndrome. The Founder's Kryptonite: Why you need to realize you are a sample size of one. Why fast social media clicks don't equal lifetime value (LTV). The power of a "Hero Product" and why keeping styles for years builds ultimate customer loyalty. How Galway Bay launched their women's line with a safe 250-piece test drop.

Show notes provided by JoeDC Comics has never shied away from telling BIG stories in their main titles. One of the very first was "The Search for Mera" in the spring of 1968 running through nine issues of the ongoing Aquaman book. A few years later at the start of The Bronze Age, "The Superman Sandman Saga" dropped, also running through nine issues of the hero's titular title. The flood gates were opened (sorry Aquaman) and what followedwere a spate of classic tales--"The New Teen Titans:The JudasContract", The L.S.H. "The Great Darkness Saga", "The Trial of TheFlash", and of course the entire Fourth World Saga--all in continuity, published in ongoing titles. And of course the dreaded "creature of the night", "the dark knight detective"--The Batman--was to have his share of these main-stream event books.     Join hosts James, Chris, and Joe for a fun-filled closeexamination of one of Batman's multi-part ongoing events--"Batman Hush"! Starting in issue #609 and running through to issue #619 the mystery of HUSH graced the pages of Batman's book. Authored by Jeph Loeb(Batman:The Long Halloween" an earlier twelve issue in continuity event), and superstar artist Jim Lee we are introduced to Bruce Wayne's childhood chum-- Tommy Elliot. What follows is a huge adventure, a greatest hits of Batman's world, that takes the guys on a rollercoaster ride of discovery, observations, and critiques. Where were the boys when this story dropped? Is it in the top ten of all-time Batman stories? Favorite chapter(s)? Jim Lee's chosen styleto depict this adventure. And how did Jeph Loeb concoct, quitepossibly, the best Batman vs Superman brawl in DC comics history?   Bring a score card, you'll need it, and try and keep up with theMint crew as they hurtle to the end  (dodging batarangs, gas bombs, cat o' nine tails, clay, venom, Kryptonite, and Lazarus Pits) of one of DC's new millennium mysteries!

What happens when you take public high school students with zero computer science background — 87% of whom are below the federal poverty line — and put them in one of only two quantum computing programs for high schoolers in the entire nation? That's exactly what A.M. Bhatt and his nonprofit DAE are doing in Connecticut, and the results are challenging everything we think we know about education reform, student potential, and what it really means to prepare young people for the future. In this episode of My EdTech Life, host Dr. Alfonso Mendoza sits down with A.M. Bhatt to unpack why traditional education is stuck in an industrial-era mindset, why the push for "job readiness" might actually be more dangerous than the problem it's trying to solve, and why real education reform starts with identity formation — not content coverage.Bhatt shares how his students complete 24 college credits worth of computer science in just 10 months, why he left a successful career advising Fortune 500 executives to work with underserved youth, and what a simple bowl of soup has to do with building a real learning community.Chapters00:00 Introduction to the Podcast and Guest01:37 A.M. Episode 3474: Charlie Brown explores how being “fine” quietly sabotages the pursuit of a simpler, more intentional life. When nothing feels terribly wrong, inertia sets in, and fear of the unknown keeps us stuck in passive acceptance rather than meaningful change. This reflection challenges you to trade comfort-zone complacency for active, deliberate living before “fine” turns into regret. Read along with the original article(s) here: https://medium.com/mind-cafe/being-fine-is-kryptonite-to-living-a-simple-life-d76c81ba41ee Quotes to ponder: "Being fine is kryptonite to living a simple life because living simply is an extremely active lifestyle." "For a lot of people, it's easier to stay fine instead of risking it for the potential of greatness." "Living simply means being in a constant state of re-evaluation... Of living intentionally and with an enormous dollop of self-awareness." Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
