Dios sabe muy bien que cuando ustedes coman del fruto de ese árbol podrán saber lo que es bueno y lo que es malo, y que entonces serán como Dios» (3: 1-5).Los argumentos de Lucifer que Job registra son similares a los que usó contra Eva: 1) Dios no solo restringe tu libertad al no permitirte comer de todo, sino que se ha propuesto matarlos de hambre; 2) Dios les ha mentido al decirles que morirán si comen del fruto; 3) Este fruto ofrece beneficios que Dios no quiso darles y que, egoístamente, reservó solo para sí; y 4) Siendo que Dios no es confiable ni amoroso, tu desa-rrollo será factible cuando transgredas sus mandamientos. Y la mujer «cortó uno de los frutos y se lo comió» (3: 6).
