Legislation in the US House of Representatives (HR 3708) aims to strengthen the position of direct primary care patients and physicians as a real, cost-effective alternative to traditional insurance plans.
As hospital systems consolidate and move operations to urban centers, many rural communities are left without any type of healthcare options. Many residents drive hours to the nearest facility for primary care and hospital care. Luckily, there are initiatives aiming to put doctors back in those communities now.
