In this episode of the Canadian Podcast, Katarina Legutky, a marine biologist breaks down the pet food industry, dog treat nutrition, and why many commercial pet treats prioritize convenience and profit over real ingredients. Some dog treats contain as little as 4.6% crude protein, which raises serious questions about what pets are actually being fed.Katarina speaks on how major pet food brands are owned by large consumer goods companies, how ingredient standards drifted over time, and why pet owners are starting to demand better. This conversation also highlights Katarina's company, Treatos Box, a Canadian pet treat company working directly with Alberta farms to create simple, high-protein treats made from real ingredients. If you care about pet nutrition, local farming, and what actually goes into your dog's treats, this episode will change how you read labels.Follow Treatos Box on Instagram and try their treats for your pets at home.Website:https://treatosbox.comIf you own a farm or know someone producing clean, single-ingredient products in Alberta, this episode also covers how local producers can work with Treatos Box.#DogTreats #PetNutrition #CanadianPodcast

Looks Unfamiliar is a podcast in which writer and occasional broadcaster Tim Worthington talks to a guest about some of the things that they remember that nobody else ever seems to.This time Tim's joining guest host Paul Abbott for a chat about the mid-nineties 'loungecore' compilation series The Sound Gallery, and in particular the little-heard spinoff volume The Sound Spectrum. Along the way we'll be debating the relative merits of a whining bloke over-emoting a rewrite of the Weetos jingle and a bloke in another room singing through a cardboard tube, failing to buy an album worth five thousand quid for twenty pence, learning how to throw shade with a rogue capital letter, pondering the proliferation of Johns and Alans in library music and definitely not watching anything whatsoever late at night on SAT1.You can find more editions of Looks Unfamiliar at http://timworthington.org/. Medverkande: Andreas Liljeheden, Brysselkorrespondent. What if the biggest relationship problems you're struggling with… aren't actually your fault? Today, we sit down with Oxford-educated Behavioral Scientist and High-Performance Relationship Coach, Katarina Polonska, to deep-dive into Attachment Theory and Relationship Styles.-----------------------------------------------What if the biggest relationship problems you're struggling with… aren't actually your fault? This episode's guest, Katarina Polonska, is an Oxford-educated behavioral scientist and high-performance relationship coach whose life story is as powerful as the science she teaches. She went from calling off her wedding, battling an eating disorder, and rebuilding her identity from scratch……to becoming one of the sharpest thinkers in the world on attachment theory, partner selection, and why high achievers struggle in love.In this episode, Katarina breaks down the real science behind attraction, emotional patterns, and why we keep choosing partners who hurt us. She reveals:⭐ Why intelligent, successful people often repeat the same relationship mistakes⭐ How early attachment styles shape every romantic decision⭐ The behavioral “scripts” that sabotage dating and long-term love⭐ How to stop overfunctioning, people-pleasing, and self-sacrificing in relationships⭐ The biggest shift in modern male/female dynamics—and why it's rewriting the rules⭐ Why calling off her own engagement became her greatest act of emotional courage⭐ The 3 micro-steps anyone can take to repair (or attract) a healthy relationship⭐ The truth about dating apps and why so many feel emotionally exhaustedWhether you're single, dating, or decades into a relationship, Katarina's insights are refreshingly blunt, deeply compassionate, and rooted in science—not clichés.If you've ever asked yourself:“Why do I keep choosing the wrong people?”“How do I break this cycle?”“How do I finally feel secure in love?”…this episode will change how you think about relationships forever.

In this explosive episode, Murph continues his discussion with investigative journalist Katarina Szulc to uncover one of the most powerful tools in the fight against organized crime — following the money. Katarina dives deep into how targeting financial pipelines has become a crucial strategy in dismantling the power of violent cartels, focusing on CJNG's operations within the United States. She reveals how money laundering, shell companies, and cross-border financial networks allow criminal organizations to grow stronger, and why cutting off those resources is often more effective than arresting foot soldiers.

In this gripping episode, Murph sits down with freelance journalist Katarina Szulc, whose fearless reporting has taken her deep into the heart of Mexico's criminal underworld. From exposing organized crime to uncovering the harrowing realities of human trafficking, Katarina's work shines a light on some of the darkest corners of our world. She shares how her passion for storytelling began, the dangers of reporting in hostile environments, and the emotional toll of documenting crimes that few dare to confront. Katarina opens up about the power of integrity in journalism, the moral conflicts of covering corruption, and the courage it takes to stay true to the truth—no matter the cost.
