David Fleming speaks with Dr. Lisa Lindley, CEO of Coachella Valley Symphony Orchestra. We'll get a bit of the history of the symphony, some of the associated programs - like the Youth Symphony, and a bit about Dr. Lindley herself. And of course - the final concert of the season - The Best of Stage and Screen. This one draws from the classic as well as contemporary and is always a crowd favorite. The concert is Friday, April 25, 2025 at 7:30PM at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert. More at cvsymphony.com.
Dr. Lindley is a board-certified family physician with a direct primary care practice in Texas. She became a family physician out of love for the idea of taking care of the whole family and seeing the family grow. Later in her career, she became interested in helping find solutions to improve the overall healthcare system and is a passionate advocate for her patients, veterans, and healthcare and has been very involved with health policy on the state and national levels. She is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and is involved with many medical organizations, including the Global COVID Summit and AAPS. She is the Past President of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association and the Texas Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. In 2023, she co-founded the Global Health Project (GHP) and now serves as its president. She also serves as the Director of Independent Medical Alliance international fellowship program and last year she was elected to the Brock Independent School District school board and will serve 4 year role as a trustee.
Tara Lindley started out in the wine business before joining High West Distillery nine years ago. Now, she's the director of sensory analysis and new product development for High West's owner, Constellation Brands, and her latest project is the 2025 release of High West's Bourye, a blend of Bourbons and Rye whiskies. We'll talk with Tara on this week's WhiskyCast In-Depth. In the news, the North American trade war heats up as Canada retaliates for U-S tariffs on Canadian imports by pulling American whiskies off retail shelves.

Get totally TRUCKED UP! Simon Lindley, fed up with the FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) surrounding electric vehicle (EV) trucks, decided to take matters into his own hands. He launched the Trucked Up EVs YouTube channel, where he's on a mission to test the limits of these electric beasts, evaluate the charging infrastructure across Canada, and debunk some myths. I caught up with Simon at the very beginning of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. He was plugged into a BC Hydro DC Fast Charging station, charging his Ford F-150 Lightning at lightning speed. To truly understand the pros, cons, and challenges of touring with an EV truck, Simon embarked on an epic 24,000-kilometer cross-country adventure. He's testing the limits of his EV, exploring the charging landscape across every province, and engaging with his viewers in local coffee shops to discuss the future of electric vehicles. This is Green Energy Futures' David Dodge's full interview with Simon (35 minutes). Don't miss out! Subscribe to our channel today. I met Simon Lindley at Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. His passion for EV trucks inspired him to create a YouTube Channel called Trucked Up EVs to look into the good, the bad and the ugly of EV Trucks. He has a passion for busting myths and had just wrapped up a cross Canada tour on which he tested the limits of his Ford F150 Lightning and took stock on the charging infrastructure from province to province. Greetings, everyone! Welcome to Episode 11 of the podcast, where I'm joined by my bandmate in Big Big Train, Clare Lindley. Clare is not only my first female guest but also an incredibly talented musician with a wealth of experience. It's truly inspiring to hear her perspective on what it takes to make music your life. Her dedication, hard work, and passion are undeniable, and I've had the privilege of witnessing her professionalism and skill on stage time and time again. In this episode, we dive into Clare's journey — starting in Scotland, where she grew up and made a name for herself, before moving to London to take on the city's music scene head-on. Clare is also an educator, sharing her love of music with students of all ages, and—on top of that—she's a professional rock climber! Her passion and drive are contagious, and I'm lucky to be in a band with someone so talented. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did. Cheers! #nickdvirgilio #clarelindley #bigbigtrain #soyouwanttobeamusician #violin #fiddle #musiclife

What if I told you that this was the final episode of the Resilient Journey? If I told you that because it was a fact, that would be the truth. If I said it because I heard a rumor, that would be misinformation. But if I new it was a lie, what would that be? Hello everyone and welcome to episode 149 of the Resilient Journey podcast, presented by the Resilience Think Tank. This week, Mark welcomes Lindley Gooden, founder of Greenscreen and author of a fantastic new book called The Future of Truth. Lindley says that COVID wasn't the only disease to sweep the world in the early 2020's. 1999: An island off the southern coast of Greece. Art historian Elizabeth Clarke arrives with the intent to acquire a rare female sculpture. But what begins as a quest for a highly valued cultural artifact evolves into a trip that will force Elizabeth to contend with her career, her ambition, and her troubling history. Disoriented by jet lag, debilitating migraines, and a dependence on prescription pills, Elizabeth turns to her charming and guileless translator to guide her around the labyrinthine island. Soon, the island's lushness--its heat and light, its textures and tastes--take hold of Elizabeth. And when she's introduced to her translator's inscrutable wife--a subversive artist whose work seeks to deconstruct the female form--she becomes unexpectedly enthralled by her. But once the nude's acquisition proves to be riskier than Elizabeth could have ever imagined, Elizabeth's and the statue's fate are called into question. To find a way out, Elizabeth must grapple with her past, the role she's played in the global art trade, and the ethical fallouts her decisions could leave behind. The Nude (Atria Books, 2024) is an evocative and intense exploration of art, cultural theft, and what it means to be a woman helming morally complicated negotiations in a male-directed world. C. Do you want to bring sexy back into your life? This concept encompasses much more than actual sex, but it reaches to the inner depths of a woman's core identity, vitality, and attitudes about life. This episode was prompted by the response to a recent TikTok in which I commented about how I've rediscovered things about myself here in my late 30s as my kids are a bit older and I have more time to myself. The response was big, with many questions about what I've done. I hate to say that there really is no big secret, but this topic is well worth exploring, so I'm bringing in my good friend, Lindley Gentile, a licensed marriage and family therapist. She is an expert who works specifically with women around rediscovering their sexiness, or perhaps, learning to discover it for the first time. Show Highlights: Contributing factors to why women lose their individuality and sexiness The roles women fall into throughout life's phases—without any renegotiation with their partner Sexiness in identity is about MUCH more than having sex. Being “turned on” is about aliveness, vitality, positivity, and a vibration of your soul. Care tasks create a barrier to pleasure. Sex is like a playground for fun and pleasure, and the aging woman can have more fun at the playground. Aging women, what they wear, and feeling sexy Sexiness is about energy and how you feel. False messages from society around fatphobia, suppression, and ideology Fantasy is a gift and a power that can overcome our tendency to overthink. It might seem daunting to avoid the tyrannical grasp of the dystopian biomedical terrorists, but it is in our power to preserve medical freedom in red states. We're joined today by Texas family physician Dr. Kat Lindley, who is sounding the alarm about the upcoming WHO amendment to the International Health Regulations. In May, the WHO might vote to adopt policies that create “one health,” which will synergize control over our lives – not just for viruses but anything officials deem as a threat to public quality of life. Dr. Lindley is leading the effort in the states to pre-emptively ban such health regulations. We must get active and ensure that red-state and county health departments are not promoting the “one health" agenda, because a lot of them are already doing so. Learn more about your ad choices.
