Last week, Judge Talwani issued a fresh injunction blocking one provision of the EO centered around the Postal Service, two days after the Supreme Court lifted a block from the same judge, saying the provisions in the EO could not be applied to November's midterms. The co-hosts affirm that this fight is far from over before moving to two more updates from cases they talked about last week: a motion brought by Mary's ICAP team alongside others challenging the 2026 birthright citizenship EO and a decision on Minnesota's effort to extradite an ICE agent from Texas, after he was charged with shooting Julio Sosa-Celis through the door of a Minnesota home. Next, a win for Anthropic after a federal judge ruled against the Pentagon, saying it acted illegally in labeling the AI company a “supply chain risk.” Plus: a moving video from an active-duty Marine Colonel pleading for an Afghan national to return to the US after he was deported- despite his asylum status after his family helped the US military in Afghanistan. Kerry Lutz, Debt, Taxes, Trust, and Technology: From the $40 Trillion Question to Colorado Rail and the AI Future The $40 Trillion Debt and the Dollar's Staying Power The episode opens with economist and Financial Survival Network founder Kerry Lutz discussing the roughly $40 trillion national debt and why a number that large can become psychologically easy to dismiss. Lutz argues that the dollar-based system can continue functioning as long as global markets retain confidence in U.S. currency, liquidity, and the ability to retrieve invested capital. Louisiana's coastline is constantly changing, and one of the newest examples is Neptune Pass, a naturally forming channel in the lower Mississippi River that's rapidly building new land in Plaquemines Parish. Recently, a dozen teachers from across the state got the chance to see that transformation firsthand during a two-day professional development workshop organized by the Mississippi River Delta Transition Initiative, known as MissDelta, and Louisiana Sea Grant.Domonique Garello, Assistant Professor at LSU's Department of Geoscience, and Mariam Afuwape, Chemistry PhD student at LSU, spoke with WWNO's Sara Henegan for more.The Texas coast collects roughly 10 times more plastic debris than any other Gulf state, much of it spilling from the massive petrochemical complex that lines its shores. Spouting Off with Karen Kataline Mob Movies, Media Narratives, COVID Grievances, Iran, and the Politics of Cultural Memory Karen Kataline joins Vic Porcelli, with Ken Williams appearing in a later segment, for a wide-ranging conversation about The Sopranos, Tulsa King, mafia films, Billy Joel, Charlottesville, Jewish identity, Shabbat, World War II memory, Dr. Anthony Fauci, COVID-era grievances, Iran, President Trump's strategy, political hypocrisy, and the vigilante film Miss Meadows. Guest Spotlight: Vic Porcelli Vic Porcelli leads the interview segment with Karen Kataline, moving freely between entertainment, politics, religion, history, and current events.
