After spending the better part of a decade honing their craft, Bad Luck. presents the best version of themselves to date with Summer of Pain. The twelve-song collection serves as a bridge between childhood ambition and adult realism by exploring the underlying tension of romanticism in our modern world. It's a record about love and sadness that aspires to give listeners a much-needed reality check. Bad Luck. wants to pull you into the present and make you fully aware of your existence. "We want our being, presence, and band to be socially active," says co-founder Dominick Fox. We want people to know who we are, where we're from, and what we stand for, all of which is laid out in this album." Stories of heartache, growth, setbacks, and personal triumphs comprise much of the material found on Summer of Pain. The members of Bad Luck. — Dominick Fox, Joe Fox, Charlie Caruso, and Michael Sichel — are documenting the journey of life as it unfolds. The songs do not reflect the beginning of an adventure nor fixate on endings. It's about the messy parts in the middle. Their music is a form of meditation where the members fiercely focus on the work between them and the people they hope to become. It's a document of progress, or lack thereof, told as truthfully as possible. As Summer of Pain grapples with the difficult task of self-analysis, Bad Luck. delivers accessible punk music that pulls from blends of Northeastern cynicism with the pop-influenced optimism. What an incredible past several days. Please note, depending on circumstances, we may be covering part of these stories tomorrow night on Wrestling Authority Radio based on time constraints. WWE has been incredibly busy with NXT TakeOver this past Saturday, Survivor Series on Sunday, RAW Monday and SmackDown Live Tuesday. Now while TakeOver was well planned and set out, the Becky Lynch injury put Survivor Series into panic mode, with a lot of changes having to be worked out between Tuesday, after Becky had been examined by doctors, and most likely Thursday, when the plans must have had to be finalized so they could go over scripts with the producers and talent. Speaking of scripts, the Charlie Caruso/Daniel Bryan encounter that you saw on Sunday was NOT how it was originally written. We will tell you literally word for word what the original scene called for. Survivor Series also had a visitor who didn't quite recieve the warm welcome I'm sure they thought they were going to. The same person also had another incident just a few days prior to Sunday. There were also reports about former WWE performer James Ellsworth and former ECW performer Sabu, both involving the same person, and in Sabu's case, there were comments involving Jim Ross as well. We also have news concerning a current Ring Of Honor star who may be headed to WWE as well as a Lucha Underground star and past guest of our show. Be ready to call in because if we go covering everything we will be going beyond our two hours of "live" time.
Episode 8 Charlie Caruso discusses several current world climate events including the earthquake in Chile, floods and Tsunami warnings for Japan, fires and floods in the US, Telsa, Porche, Apple and BMWs bids in the electric car race, Divestment news, and some cool tech news.
Charlie Caruso, author of 'Understanding Y', joins the Brand Newsroom team to discuss how media outlets and content producers must adapt to appeal to a Gen Y Audience. There are several characteristics of Gen Y such as their undeveloped loyalty and aptitude for technology that make them unique. Can businesses rise to the challenge to target them?
Co-Authors Charlie Caruso and Stacey Ashley share their thoughts on the differences in leadership style that appeals to Gen Y, about what makes Gen Y different and how businesses need to re-evaluate their operating system or face being left behind.
Charlie Caruso and Chris Piper, co-authors of the upcoming book Understanding Y chat candidly about Gen Y and entrepreneurship, about start-ups, parenting in the 21st century and our unsettling and growing dependence on technology. UnderstandingY will be on sale 1st July 2014. Can ‘entrepreneurship’ be taught? How do they both juggle being entrepreneur and being a parent?
Editor and Co-Author of Understanding Y, Charlie Caruso, chats with Jane Anderson, author of the chapter "The Anti-Plan Masters" about Gen Y, their "branding issue", problems with the misconception of the Y cohort and what industry needs to do in order to attract Gen Y, and retain the wealth of knowledge they already possess in their Baby Boomers. Find out more about Jane Anderson here http://jane-anderson.com.au/
