Lets talk about last nights SmackDown results:Kevin Owens, CM Punk, Gunther and Finn Bálor opened the show arguing over the WWE Championship picture. That led to a Triple Threat No. 1 Contender match later in the night. The match ended in chaos when Sami Zayn came out and laid everyone out with the WWE Title.Jacy Jayne retained the Women's U.S. Title against Paige.Nikki Bella attacked Paige after the match.Tatum Paxley defeated Michin.Nia Jax & Lash Legend defeated Tiffany Stratton & Chelsea Green.Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes continued their increasingly personal feud, with Orton taking shots at Cody's family.Overall: a storyline-heavy SmackDown focused on the crowded WWE title picture, Sami Zayn's growing role, and the escalating Cody/Orton feud.Go AD-FREE at Patreon.com/WWEPodcastBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-wwe-podcast--2187791/support.

(Riverton, WY) – Own your mistakes. Take accountability for yourself. When you have success, share it with others. And fly fish as much as you can. Those were the common themes delivered by former National Football League quarterback Kyle Orton Monday night as he spoke with the Riverton High School football team at the RHS Auditorium. Orton is no stranger to Fremont County. The Iowa-native told County 10 if he could fly fish anywhere in the world, he’d be right here. Kyle has been hitting the water here for the last few days. The exact location he chose not to disclose… we mentioned he’s a true fisherman after all. He accepted an invitation to meet and speak with the RHS student-athletes after a day tracking trout. During a 30 minute pre-practice session he took time to answer questions and sign several autographs. His football journey began in Iowa, which led to Indiana for college, becoming a Purdue Boilermaker. Purdue’s Head Coach at the time was a legend in the Cowboy State, Joe Tiller. After four years under Tiller, Kyle was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2005. Eventually, he’d play three seasons with the Denver Broncos, a year with the Kansas City Chiefs, two with the Dallas Cowboys and finished his career in 2014 a Buffalo Bill. Since retiring, he’s remained active in football as a high school coach for his Iowa alma mater. Kyle Orton with Riverton High School football coaches Photo: Jerrad Anderson During the Q&A Monday night, we learned Orton’s favorite wide receiver was Broncos and Bears legend Brandon Marshall. His favorite leader to play with was Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher. His favorite piece of advice is to find other people that work hard at the same things you do and push each other. Perhaps most interestingly though, he was presented with the question, “if you could go back in time and play one more game at any level, where would you go?” Orton thought for a second, skipped being an NFL celebrity or a college football success and said, “honestly I’d go back to high school and play with my friends.” Doubling down with, “there’s just something special about playing with your buddies.” Kyle summed up the session by telling the Wolverines to take practice one day at a time, “try to win each day. Practice hard. Like really fricking hard.” County 10 caught up with Orton for a quick chat after his time with the students, you can hear that interview in the player below or by searching for the County 10 Sports Podcast on all major podcast platforms. Riverton football begins their season August 28th at Powell. Every Wolverine game all season can be seen on the County 10 YouTube channel or find our radio broadcasts on 105.1 JACK-FM!

Folks, SmackDown out of Philadelphia was one of the best shows I've reviewed all year, and nobody breaks it down like I do, believe me.Cody Rhodes opened the show fuming, days removed from Randy Orton costing him at SummerSlam. He called Orton out immediately, and when Randy didn't show, Cody paid a beautiful tribute to the late, great Dory Funk Jr. — a real champion's champion — then brought up finishing the story right here in Philly at WrestleMania 40. He admitted he lost to CM Punk on Saturday, assuming Punk had no idea Orton was involved. The second he said Punk's name, out came the Undisputed WWE Champion himself. Punk said it hurt to even be asked, swore he knew nothing, and offered to go beat Orton up together backstage. Cody declined — he wants Orton alone — and handed Punk the ring. Then Kevin Owens walked out, and folks, what followed was one of the best promo segments in years. Owens said he spent 17 months living with uncertainty from a career-threatening injury, proving people wrong his whole career, and called Punk an "arrogant sociopath" for offering Cody a title shot ahead of him. Punk fired back — he's the Undisputed Champion, and that makes him the Best in the World, and Owens should be grateful, because without Punk he'd be working a 9-to-5 and weekend indie dates. Owens agreed, but said Punk also showed him exactly what NOT to be — a "miserable piece of sh*t" consumed by his own ego. Security had to separate them. Tremendous television.Baron Corbin kept the U.S. Title against Trick Williams by smashing him with the belt — fine match, cheap finish. Chelsea Green's Women's Championship celebration was pure delusional heel gold — thanked herself, thanked Tiffany Stratton, got interrupted by Fatal Influence, and set up a title-for-title tag match. Fatal Influence retained and Chelsea ate the pin — why, folks? Then the Irresistible Forces attacked, and Nia Jax held the Women's Title high.Randy Orton returned to a massive Philly ovation, told Cody he owes him nothing, admitted Cody unleashed the "worst" version of him, and vowed Cody will never be champion again. Cody fired back that he's not the good guy anymore and asked Orton one chilling question: "Who Kills You?"Charlotte beat Jade Cargill in the main event after chaos from Alexa Bliss's return and a Sister Abigail tribute finish. Fine main event.LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and tell me — Punk vs. Owens or Cody vs. Orton, which feud wins the year?Visit our website ➡️➡️➡️ https://www.majesticproduction.com/Watch our full podcast here ➡️➡️➡️ anchor.fm/majestic-production

On today's program: David Dayen, executive editor of The American Prospect and co-host of the Organized Money podcast, joins us in the studio for the free half. MS NOW reporter Jacob Soboroff takes a tour of the L.A. County Ballot Processing Center in the City of Industry to try and dispel the conspiracy theories of voter fraud pushed by Trump, Spencer Pratt and others. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson says he cannot provide evidence of election tampering in California, but he knows it "stinks to high heaven". As the screwworm infestation spreads among American livestock, it has become clear that this is the result of DOGE and cuts made by the Trump administration. This assessment is backed by the Texas Republican Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and former first-term Trump staffer and rancher Catharine O'Neill Gillihan. Gilihan's ranch Meriwether Farms posts on X advice for managing screwworm while outright blaming Trump for not moving fast enough in the last 15 months to address this crisis. Josh Orton, President of Demand Justice and former senior adviser to Bernie Sanders, joins the show to discuss his work for court reformation. All that and more.
